Anh Restaurant & Bar

My parents went for a weekend lunch with a group ofFriends. The service was excellent. They brought me food home. I had the shaken shrimp and steamed rice. Also ordered the garlic noodles with prawns 10/10 Definitely have to go back to try more of the menu

We found this place by accident while taking a walk in the area. The view was wonderful and so was the food!! I can't wait to go back!

I like coming here. It's one of the regular places my colleagues and I like to go to during work days. I usually order pho or bbq meat dishes here, but decided to try shaking beef this time. I think I like the pho and grilled meats better than the shaking beef. Usually shaking beef at other Vietnamese places are dry, but this one is saucy, almost like a sweet and sour sauce. Appetizers and drinks here are good here too. They have outdoor seating where you can see the water, and indoor seating. Good for smaller groups of 10 or less people.

We stopped into Anh's after Christmas shopping at an art fair at Craneway. I'd heard of Anh's before and looked forward to trying it. Restaurant is located on the Richmond Marina with waterfront views. Entering the restaurant, the beautiful bar is the focal point with a small indoor dining area. A sliding glass door opens to the outside seating, which has expanded beyond the enclosed patio since COVID, I assume. We chose a table on the patio, and only two other tables were occupied at the time. We wanted a light lunch and shared the veggie imperial rolls, Chinese chicken salad, and garlic noodles with veggies.I've had imperial rolls at other Vietnamese restaurants, and was looking forward to the started. Sadly, the rolls were undercooked leaving a gooey chew to the wrapper. They were crispy on the outside, but that texture inside was not pleasing. As well, there was little filling and it didn't have flavor except for the very tasty sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Hubby and I shared the salad and noodles. The salad had a lot of veggies, fresh orange segments, and the chicken was tender. Topped with crispy wonton strips and served with a sesame dressing. All the makings of what was sure to be a delish salad, but somehow it left me wanting. I can't put my finger on it, but it was just average. I make a pretty mean Asian chicken salad myself, so maybe I expect more when dining out. And lastly, we had the garlic noodles, which are served with what appears to be thick udon noodles. I could see the fresh garlic in addition to the crispy garlic topper. Plenty of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots were added as the veggie addition. Again, the flavor was lacking. I am stumped as to why, because I could see the garlic, and I could taste it, but it was still ho-hum.As we ate, most of the tables inside and out filled up. We saw what other diners ordered and some looked and smelled wonderful. I have to wonder if we just ordered the wrong items. We didn't select anything that Ahn's is known for, maybe that was our mistake. The service was very good-- all wait staff were friendly and helpful. We ate all of our food because it wasn't bad, just not great, and the team was lovely. We may come back and try some of the more popular dishes -- and enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting again.

I came here for lunch with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy on the patio, luckily we got a table there. I got the Bibimbap with tofu, and for dessert the Vietnamese coffee crème brûlée. The bibimbap was average, nothing special, but the crème brûlée was OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!!! It's the perfect combination, perfect dessert, perfect crunchy caramel top. I'd drive an hour just to get this dessert again.

Today's food didn't hit like it normally would. The lemongrass chicken was a bit dry and lacking sauce. The garlic noodles were pretty good but kinda greasy. Flavor was good though. Service was friendly. Ambiance was cool. I think I just liked their pho mostly.

I visited my mom & sister today. It was a spontaneous drive to see them in San Pablo after my gym class in the morning. My sister said to take mom for a hot soup. I took them to Richmond by the waterfront. We have dined many times at Anh. We like their pho. We sat inside as always even though they have a nice outdoor dining looking out the view of the water. We ordered Chicken Fried Dumplings for starter & jasmine tea. It felt good to drink hot tea on a chilly day. The dumplings that were dipped in a sauce tasted good. My mom had the Combination Pho. They don't have seafood pho on the menu but shrimp but the server Lonie recommended the Surf n Turf Pho. She said it was a popular order by most customers. My sister got Pork Belly. She said it tasted delish. We met the owner Lara who also owns the Lara's Fine Dining next door. I told her my family & I along with my sister & mom are regulars of Lara's Fine Dining too. And for hot soup we dine at Anh. I reminded her that she sang on my birthday lunch two years ago. The server Lonie said she loves to sing birthday song to guests. I recommend this restaurant.

The stewed chicken didn't even come with potatoes as described. Literally just carrots and chicken.

Great location near the marina with views of the harbor, excellent service, and delicious food. One of our "go to" places for family and friends and special occasions!

Terrible experience! One of the worst meals I've had and if I hadn't been starving and just getting in from the airport, I would have asked for my money back. I ordered short ribs and rice. Clearly they served me left over food. Rice was gummy with no taste. The short ribs were tiny slices and each piece had a bone in it. It was too small to cut around and I was forced to pick up each piece and eat with my hands. It was sticky and way too salty. I will never return. Additionally, food was served on a plate that was chipped at the bottom and the top. Service was mediocre. Disgusting.
