I had a wonderful experience at Anchalee! The servers were very kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed the Tapico Sakoo Balls! It takes 10 minutes but flavorful and softly textured exterior.Wish the crispy rice was crispier but the flavor was definitely there! They have a really good price point here! I would highly recommend (especially their appetizers and salads!)

Amazing Thai dishes. Large servings, beautifully presented. Optional vegetarian menu. Prices you won't find anywhere in the Bay Area. Fast friendly service. Locally lowed and operated. My favorite Thai in the Bay Area. You won't be disappointed

To be honest, it's been over a month since we sat down to enjoy this meal. I hadn't posted it because I didn't have the pictures and the receipt in the same place at the same time. It's difficult to reconstruct a menu with just pictures. Our group of eight met at the restaurant for dinner at about 5pm. Everyone was on time, so seating was easy especially since we had reservations. Everyone perused the menu and we each picked one item, making slight adjustments so we had a great variety. The food came out hot when appropriate and everything looked great. Very typical of Thai Cuisine, lots of bright colors to whet the appetite. Most everything was delicious. Personally, I didn't care much for the Gai Yang. While it wasn't as dry as Chicken Breast often can be, it was very plain. On the other hand, I would have been very happy to eat the entire Seafood Hot Plate with a serving of Brown Rice by myself. Service was excellent and we felt well taken care of. I don't have more details on the food to report, but I do remember that we said that we enjoyed our meal enough for a return visit.

I think new fav Thai spot in East bay! Thai tea slapped (and they accommodated non-dairy milk - which can be rare). Ordered yellow curry with tofu and Praram tofu. Both quite big portions, they came with rice vs needing to buy extra and had realllly good flavors. Of the two, the Praram tofu peanut sauce blew me away. Fantastic.

The food is really good and when you order something spicy they don't hold back. The Thai tea is good and when you order wine they give you a lot. The food gets to your table quickly. There are a lot of cool paintings.

My spouse and I came here for lunch because we were in the area and got the following items to share: Curry Puff appetizer (forgot to take a photo) - This was great. It had a flakey crust with tasty filling and was also not spicy. Duck Noodle Soup from their Lunch Special menu - The soup had great flavor. The duck was tender and had no bones, though it did have a tiny bit of (what I believe to be) gristle. The dish had bok choy and bits of celery (I thought the latter was slightly odd, but it didn't impact taste). It came with rice noodles, which I don't prefer, but they still tasted good and had a good texture.Even though we were trying not to have leftovers, the dishes were filling enough that we took two curry puffs home (in my reusable takeout container). ECO NOTES (Dine-In)Dine-In Dishware: Reusable plates and bowlsNapkins: Single-use disposable paper napkins (4 panels, which I think is overkill, but I guess it looks better than typical 2-panel napkins). I did notice some tables had a thicker version of these (in other words disposable napkins that almost feel like cloth). Utensils: Metal fork and spoonWater cups: Short reusable glass cups

Brief Summary:- Note: we ordered by delivery- Coconut soup was really good!- Meat proteins were slightly dryIt was one of those weekends when we ordered delivery and eat at home. We weren't sure on what to eat, so after some discussion we narrowed it down to Thai, and then narrowed it down further to try this one. We ordered a few dishes, some of the regular ones we like to get: Pad See Ew and the pineapple fried rice. The other two were by how it looked in the photos; they looked tempting to try: the coconut soup and the rice paper roll. All the dishes arrived safely without spills. We also didn't need to warm up the dishes; they were still hot.Our favorites were the rice rolls and the coconut soup. This day, the weather was warm, so the rice roll was refreshing and cooling. I also loved the coconut soup a lot. It had a mix of vegetables and mushroom, the texture of the soup was creamy, and there was a nice sour flavor with the creaminess of the coconut. I would say this was my favorite from the others. The least was the fried chicken unfortunately. As mentioned in the quick summary section, the meat proteins were on the dry side. The meat in the coconut soup was better because it was immersed into the broth. The rest were as though the moisture was absorbed out. I loved the flavor though, so the meat's dryness would be the reason why I had to lower the star to four. However, the rest of the meal was very enjoyable, so I would like to visit the restaurant one day and try the dishes there.

So Thai food is built around 5 tastes. Unfortunately omelet one dish came even close; the mango salad had all but the bitter. Colorful, light, complex. Delicious. The same could not be said for the very brown and one note pad si ew and basil pork, the latter so salty almost inedible. We will try again as the mango salad was promising but will avoid two of our favorite dishes.
