Just like its name, the food here is absolutely amazing! This place is super close to my home, and I've passed by so many times without trying it, now I wish I had known sooner just how incredible it is. Everything we ordered was delicious! The portions are huge, so depending on your appetite, one dish can easily be shared between two people. We had the house-made garlic bread, and wow, even Italian restaurants could take notes from this place! We also tried the vegetable laksa noodle soup, chicken lemongrass noodle soup, Thai Massaman fried chicken with rice, and Massaman shrimp with rice, all absolutely fantastic. For drinks, we ordered a round of boba drinks, and I loved the crème brûlée one! Mine was super sweet since I ordered it at 100% sugar, but I'd definitely recommend cutting it to 50% for a perfect balance. The staff was polite, the ambiance was cozy, and just a heads-up, come early because the wait times can be long. Highly recommend this spot, and I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

My partner was very excited to try this place and convinced me when he mentioned, "They even have a laksa on the menu."We went on a Friday night and had a 40-minute wait--fine, maybe that was a good sign, I thought. However, once seated, we were shoved into a corner of a busy restaurant and forced to order through a QR code with little human interaction. We intentionally ordered our meals at the same time, expecting them to arrive within minutes of each other. That wasn't the case. My lemongrass laksa arrived within five minutes--lukewarm. My partner's pho didn't come out until 10 minutes later, only after we flagged down a server to check on it. At least he was happy with the temperature and flavor of his soup.Overall, it was a disappointing experience for me, and I'm not sure I'd come back.

I've been to Amazing Basil few times since pandemic started and it was always a pleasure experience and no exception for today. Felt bad of leaving a review too late in exchange of the discount for the clam dish but the review has no bias.My favorite dish here is N8. Seafood Laksa Noodle and I order it every time. The soup is spiced up with the right amount of laksa and oil. And the seafood has always been so fresh and no disappointment. The Clams with Basil Wine Sauce is the discounted dish with the exchange for review. It is exceeding the expectation. The amount of butter in the soup is thick and tasty. The clam size is near jumbo and everyone of them tasted fresh and no sand. It is not a difficult dish to make but to make it perfect and consistent needs some luck. I'll try again next round and hope for the same experience. We also ordered another Spicy Beef Pho Noodle and the fusion taste is on the spot.Whenever we need additional dining ware, the waitress brought those right out to us.The restaurant decor is also very cozy and intimate, definitely a great Instagram spot for a lovely shot.

I think I found my go-to spot in Fremont. I would say the clams were my favorite. The basil wine sauce was really tasty and the portion was rather pretty big, a good amount to share with 2-3 people. I got the Thai Boat Noodle and it exceeded my expectations. I do wish the noodles were opted out for other noodles, but other than that I really did enjoy my meal. If you do come on the weekends, be prepared that parking might be hard since it is in a busy plaza.

Delicious food in a pretty, charming restaurant. Dropped by on a Sunday afternoon with my brother and we were seated right away. The place wasn't too packed but there were a number of parties already seated. The menu is pretty extensive, so be prepared to be perusing for a while. I went with the Thai massaman curry with grilled beef ($16.50), the black pepper garlic noodles ($12.00), and the twins berry jasmine boba ($6.00). Everything had to be ordered via QR code, which I am absolutely tired of.Another knock against this place: the service. While the food came out in a decent amount of time, the drinks were unacceptably slow. I was already halfway through my meal before they came to the table, and I'd already asked for them twice. When the waitress brought my entrees, I asked if I could add a Coke to my order. She said no problem. And then the waiting game began for reasons I can't explain. They were at least apologetic when they finally arrived because they recognized the wait was significant, but I got no explanation for why it took so long.Service in general was super transactional, likely due to the QR system where the waitresses are reduced to just dropping your food in front of you and disappearing. That's not an excuse for not coming around to check on guests and ask if they need anything, which wasn't happening at all anywhere in the restaurant. They didn't seem busy to the point where this wasn't a reasonable expectation. The food was worth it though. The curry was rich and flavorful, the beef was tender with that delicious grill char, and the garlic noodles had a great peppery taste and weren't too overwhelmingly garlicky. I just wish they'd used regular potatoes in the curry instead of the sweet potatoes, which were too sweet and too soft and didn't seem like a good pairing with this dish. The boba was a generous size and was just so good. Not too sweet, great berry mix, and the boba had a good chew.I'd actually be ok with coming back here again because the food and boba were genuinely memorable and there's much more on the menu I'd like to try. But next time, my expectations surrounding service will be much lower.

What a find!We were headed out for some shopping and needed lunch. I opened my Yelp app, and poof--we found a fantastic dining experience. The space:The interior is really nice. There are 2-tops, 4-tops, and larger tables for small groups. The decor is beautiful, covered in vibrant flowers, which made the atmosphere feel welcoming and cozy.Parking:Parking can be tricky depending on when you arrive. The lot is huge, but with so many popular businesses nearby, it felt like a Game of Thrones battle to find a spot. We arrived around 1 p.m., so it might have just been the lunch rush.Service:Service was solid. You order off a QR code, and if you're paying separately, each person at the table can use their own phone to place their order, which is super convenient. Servers were also running around helping with anything we needed--they were all friendly and attentive.Food:Sweet baby Jesus, the food was incredible! Comforting, flavorful, and visually stunning. The entire restaurant smells delicious, and the cuisine is a fusion of Thai, Vietnamese, Singaporean, and Malaysian flavors. What we had: 1. Clams with Basil Wine Sauce: I could bathe in the broth! It was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked clams with a flavorful basil topping that tied everything together. The only thing missing? Bread to soak up that gorgeous sauce. 2. Grilled 5-Spice Pork Chop Combo: This came with rice, salad, an egg roll, and a sunny-side-up egg. The pork chop was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The salad dressing was a home run. This is Asian comfort food at its finest. 3. Lemongrass Chicken Laksa Soup: A huge bowl of piping hot broth featuring lemongrass chicken, fried tofu, fish balls, and a soft egg, topped with cilantro, onion, beansprouts, and basil, with lime and jalapeño on the side. Wow! The broth was the star of the show--just incredible. We washed it all down with fresh coconut juice, which was amazing and refreshing. Why it's not a 5-star review (yet):Although the food was outstanding, the timing was off. We ordered three items: the clams (as an appetizer) and two mains. Somehow, the pork chop came out first, followed by the clams five minutes later. My soup didn't arrive until 15 minutes after that. By the time I got my soup, my partner had already finished his meal. It was disappointing--I was ready to cancel the soup but decided not to. Unfortunately, that's why I can't give this place five stars yet.I should note they have things that are on the menu that explain some items take 10-15 mins to prepare. These were not one of them. Overall:It was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to give it another shot. You should absolutely eat here!Support local businesses!

Cool atmosphere, very much IG-friendly. Wait staff was friendly and efficient.Food:- the Roti Curry was our favorite, thin and crispy. - the pad Thai was also good. - the fried lemongrass tofu triangles were also good. - chicken skewers were just ok, were a bit cool temperature wise. - the much-touted garlic bread was very garlicky, but seemed a bit hard (over baked or toasted?). Seemed a bit dry and was better when we dipped it into whatever other sauces we had on the table from the other dishes we ordered.

Basil clam is sooooo goooood!! I think it a lot. And highly recommend garlic bread, it was so crispy and full of garlic and butter, smells so good. I like curry pork rib, they use some special spices to cook the pork so it's very good.
