We stumbled upon going to Alley & Vine Restaurant.First of all the service was excellent Our waitress was patience, professional and met our needs. Her name was Karina. The place has romantic ambiance. We ordered double pork chop. It came up perfectly cooked with yummy mashed potatoes and saute chard. They're buttermilk biscuits are perfection. I ordered a Hendrick gin cocktail . Enjoy the cocktail. Then the waitress came out with a scoop of gelatte with a candle in it for my birthday. At that point I felt very special. I will definitely go back with my friends and family.Annalisa

I had a brunch here on a Monday at 10:30am and chose to sit at a lovely corner table by the window. The atmosphere was tranquil, bright and airy - perfect for catching up with a friend! I had a delicious and refreshing beet salad - perfect medley of ingredients and dressing! Coffee was good! The best part of our visit was our server, Karina. She was not only very nice and friendly, but very attentive to our needs (our coffee mug was always full and hot!) and she let us take our time through our meal. All in all - serene ambiance, great food and superb service!Little tip - there's a small private parking lot in the back of the restaurant - so when you drive there, enter on the street on the back side!

Found this hidden gem looking for a seafood place to celebrate some good news. And what I find. Super cute location has private parking which could get a little crowded but they're street parking too. If you have a choice bring your smaller car for easier parking. They've got outdoor seating and indoor seating also upstairs and down it really kind of gives you a Napa type feel I remember thinking before I walked in the door and they've got a whole wall of wine LOL seems like a great spot to hang out for some summer evenings catching up with friends. The buttermilk chive biscuits are amazing and perfect size to share the lamb chops were delightful, cooked to perfection and love the little hodgepodge of Tomatoes and cheese that they rest upon we had the seafood alfredo and risotto. They both were absolutely amazing and come with some beautiful cutlery and plate where! Made us all wanna go shopping for dish sets for kitchens. They had some sort of photo shoot going on which is a little weird. It would've been nice to have sat further away and elsewhere or had that group sit upstairs and be away from us.Beside that, it was great atmosphere amazing service and they even surprised us when we ordered dessert with a congratulations! How sweet is that?Definitely have this place bookmarked and can't wait to explore more of the menu. It was hard to choose.

Been to this restaurant called alley & vine a total of two times. No capital letters in the spelling of their restaurant which is different. All small cap. The place has a nice ambiance to it. There is seating both floor level and upstairs. There is a small parking lot, but like most of Alameda finding parking can be a bit of a challenge. They make quality food at alley & vine. Prices are on the higher side, but you have to pay more for quality so I think the prices are actually fair for what you get in return. We have been warmly welcomed each time I've visited with the family. The customer service has been very good each visit. Food and drinks are of top quality. My favorite entree is their Duroc Pork Chop. It comes with Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, Garlic Chard, Orange and Whole Grain Mustard Glaze. Plated beautifully and so yummylicious!! I also like their Buttermilk Chive Biscuits for starters. They tend to change their menu options so their is a chance that you do not see your favorite item the next time you visit. Do not let that deter you from coming because you are sure to find something else on the menu that you want to try.So head on over to alley & vine for a good meal in Alameda. Make reservations first to assure you do not have a long wait.

Wow, it has been a long time since we have eaten here. The previous owner's/location, C'era una Volta, used to have live music on certain days. Our friends' band used to play here, so we used to support them and come often.Quality/Quantity - King Salmon - My wife enjoyed and finished it all. The salmon was rarer than usual. And had a generous amount of sauce, actually too much. The cauliflower sauce had minimum flavor, not sure if that was a good or bad thing...? I guess it is personal preference.Penne Bolognese - My dish. This was good. Creamy and with good flavors. Single serving.Chicken Marsala - My daughter's dish and the best out of the three. I especially liked the garlic noodles and wished there was more. The chicken was a little overcooked (dry), but still good. The mushrooms and greens were fresh and good.Tiramisu - Good, my daughter and wife both enjoyed it. Small portion.Atmosphere - Decent size location. 2 floors. And outside heated seating. Bar seating also available.Semi open kitchen.Clean unisex bathrooms.Decent wine selection, full bar, etc.Small parking lot in the rear for all the businesses and usually there is never any parking. So we did our usual free street parking and walked one block. Service - Good. Price - $126 + tip. Expensive for what we got.3% total checkcharge for using a credit card, even if you split the bill and pay half with cash.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2020. Your food is good, not sure if the value is though...

The service was okay. Food was really salty and a little overpriced. Probably would not return. Staff was nice, but had to wait around a bit for things.

Ambience-CHECK.Food- CHECK.Customer Service- CHECK CHECK CHECK!Walking in, I was in awe of how cute everything was- the colors, the furniture, the decor, the plants, the everything- i completely forgot that my friend whom i haven't seen in months was my true excitement, but was merely forgotten when I walked in.We ordered bunch of food to share- calamari as our standard, lamb chops and the charcuterie board. We enjoyed everything that we ordered. The calamari was ok in comparison to everything else, but it was the batter that I wasn't fond of. The cheese board is always delectable and the lamb...I have no words!

It's hard to believe the restaurant gets great reviews and was packed for lunch on a Friday. We were a table of 7. Some did enjoy their orders but at least 3 of us left hungry. I ordered huevos rancheros and confirmed it was vegetarian. I was brought a plate with beans, 2 eggs, a spoonful of sour cream and a heap of pinkish stuff. I asked what it was and was told it's chorizo. Naturally I returned it and after a while they brought back a sorry looking platter. No veggies no cheese no sauce. They only had flour not corn tortillas which I didn't want. I asked for mashed potatoes. And this cost $22. Absolutely insane! And the acoustics are awful.

The food was actually really good but the overall vibe of this spot is off, the waitress was nice but not super attentive and legit didn't take our order for a super long time.... I actually had to tell her to take our drink order lol. But regardless the food was goood, so do takeout.

This spot is very cute and a hidden gem in Alameda. Parking is a bit of a challenge, there's a big lot right in front of the restaurant however it's not for restaurant guests so you need to park on the street and walk. The mimosas were good. I wish the chips weren't chopped and mixed within the chilaquiles but they were still pretty good! We made a reservation for a Sunday morning but it wasn't really necessary. They weren't too busy. Service was a bit on the slower side but it was still decent.
