Fortunate to have this farmer's market in Alameda. Located on the west end, off of Webster, on Haight, this farmers market operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9am-1pm. It's on the smaller side, but definitely worth exploring. Offerings include produce, flowers, and other items including mushrooms, honey, pickles, etc, from local producers. Lovely bouquets of flowers, very reasonably priced, unlike at the grocery store. I was disappointed that there was not more organic produce; from what I saw, only one of the vendors offered organic vegetables. Was hoping to see primarily organics across the board. Perhaps in the Spring, there will be more of a bounty of organic fruits and vegetables to choose from. The berry vendor (organic berries, yay!) was completely sold out by the time we got there around 11am. As the other reviews reflect, the berries are very popular at this market, so you'll want to get there earlier than we did to snag some of this nature's dessert. Pleased to see they accept EBT; everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food. We will make a habit of frequenting this market regularly. Support local farmers, support your local farmer's market!

This farmers market is a block from my apartment and it's become my regular Saturday morning event. Although I have tried multiple things, such as banana pudding from a vegan dessert stand, or the tamales from the tamale guys, the main reason I come back every week is for the strawberries. The strawberry man, which if my memory serves me is from either Salinas or maybe Gilroy, is selling hands down the best strawberries you're gonna find is the area. These strawberries are sweet and juicy and have a lovely red color. They honestly just taste like candy. If I don't control myself I'll eat them until I have a stomach ache. I've offered others to eat some and every time the person is highly impressed by how amazing these strawberries are. I also get other fresh fruit and vegetables there as well. There is another stand that has a huge array of fruit options and sometimes I'll venture out and get a pluot or a melon I've never heard of. They even offer samples so you can taste before you buy. I also LOVE the samosas from the Samosa guy. I suggest getting the cilantro dip they sell, amazing. This market is small but extremely effective. Easy access to stands, not over whelming and not a lot of duplicate stands. Theres even a flower booth for those who want to decorate their house. Pro tip. Go right before they are closing (usually around 1 pm) and you may get slightly better deals on things. Go at anytime though, you won't be disappointed.

Love All the Vendors! Ibarra farms is the best by far! Max and Jerry are awesome! I love mi abuelita's berry farms! Jerry and Max come out to Alameda on Tuesdays. All of them always brighten my day! The freshest produce, anywhere from cremini mushrooms, broccoli, arugula, spinach, etc. The best customer service and the ambiance is very welcoming and organized. The Alameda Farmer's Market is my favorite part of the day because I get to see both Jerry and Max! Small talk and seeing how I'm doing is a genuine question each Tuesday, checking in with each other. Much love you guys!

Quality/Quantity - Local honey from San Leandro. We actually buy our local honey in Alameda, see other Yelp review "Twin Bee Apiaries."I wanted to pick up some "po tarts" from the Portuguese bakery, but I did not see any. Hopefully next time. Many of the vendors offered samples, which I declined, as I knew I was going to eat a big lunch and then go to the winery.Atmosphere - Good size, "L" shape market, see picture of the elbow of tents. Here two days a week on Tuesday and Saturday from 9am to 1pm. They are also year round, rain or shine.Plenty of street parking.Service - Excellent, I spent some time at the info booth to learn more about the event and other locations.Price - Depends on what you buy.Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1988 with over 50 farmers markets in 33 Bay Area communities.

I came here sometime last week. I missed the ones I normally go to, but I was out of fruit and onions and needed to make a trip. Parking can be tough. Kind of. I ended up parking across the street by homes. The street parking by the businesses will most likely all be full. The friendliness of the farmers was expected and i didnt see much that you couldn't get from any other farmer's market. However, they didnt have a lot of organic items here. The only organic items they had were the berries. That was the real downside to me, but i got my berries!

Need fresh produce in-season or a bouquet of newly-cut blooms? This small farmers' market is worth a stop if you're in the Webster/Lincoln area of Alameda on a Tuesday or Saturday (9-1). Part of the market is set up in a parking lot, so there are limited spots to park adjacently in the back of the donut shop and pinball museum with one-way entrance/exit. Otherwise you may need to find street parking and walk a few blocks. On a fair-weather day, the walk around the neighborhood or by other businesses on Webster is enjoyable, so finding nearby parking isn't a must for me. Although very small, there is a pretty good variety of vendors and you can checkout the list online and whether they are there Tuesdays, Saturdays, or both. Some of the vendors can be a bit pushy about getting customers to approach their booths, which makes me less likely to engage and instead I move past without looking. The booths I have patronized take debit/credit card, which was super convenient!

After over a decade of attending this market, it still does not disappoint. There is a very good mix of vendors for California produce as well as prepared foods, a spice vendor, a pickle vendor :-), health drinks, etc. The live music is uneven and the bad ones always play too loudly. But there are often good musicians and singers, so not to worry. The vendors are pleasant people and if you wait until close to closing, almost all will bargain. Recall the farmers get up at 3 or 4 AM to drive to Alameda and sell their fruits & veggies, then you may understand why they charge what they do. I have gone to the Jack London Sq. farmers market and that one is pricier. There are cafes within walking distance on Webster St. for breakfast, lunch or a hot beverage as well.
