This place is a total gem. I first encountered the gallery in 2020 when my photograph was included in an exhibit in the gallery. I was impressed by the way the owner made efforts to keep the gallery both safe and welcoming in a difficult time. He was also creative about sharing work and events online. I live in Oakland, so it isn't convenient to do much of my shopping there, but I do find it to be a treat to go in when I can. Some stores feel so full, it can be overwhelming and some are so spare, it is almost awkward, I am in and out. I find the store to be just right. It's relaxing to browse and there are enough things to see to keep you there for quite a while. The presentation is quite nice. Nearly everything in the store is handmade by a local artisan.

Abram Claghorn Gallery is located in a business district with shops and restaurants with easy street parking. I came here for my niece's first solo show, "Enter: Subconcious". Her art allows you to not only get a glimpse of her inner artistic mind, but the images may inspire you to see representations of things not seen by anyone but you.The gallery consists of the exhibit room on the left, which showcases art from local and emerging artists in a rotating monthly exhibit. The store is on the right and it displays art and crafts from over 70 local makers. Items include jewelry, pottery, glass works, wood, leather, fine art, cards and body oils and soaps. There are artisan candies, honey and jams too.So glad I was able to view my niece's first solo art show in a nice, local gallery supporting local makers.

I have visited this place a few times in the past and have had neutral decent experiences...this time though...walked in on a day after work wearing my hospital scrubs on the way home as i live in the area and like to support local businesses...Guy behind the counter: "are you a doctor?" (said in a jovial tone)Me: "No, i'm a nurse." I replied with a smile.Guy behind the counter: Blank stare, no response, awkward silence. i had walked past the storefront a few times but hadn't had time to step in. and i was mistakenly under the impression that it was strictly an art gallery because i hadn't given it a good look. while on the hunt today for a housewarming gift, i popped in and i'm so glad i did! they had so many great things by local artists and small businesses. i picked up a cute plant pot, jalapeño jelly, and two candles. other things that caught my eye: the handmade baby mobiles, art prints, leather goods, and other edible treats. i'll definitely be back! this will be my go-to spot for a thoughtful, unique, local gift.

This space has been home to galleries for as long as I can remember, first Adamé, then Albany Art Gallery and now Abrams Claghorn. I stopped here a few months ago to check it out after a few months of intending to do so. They were setting up for a new show, so half the gallery was unavailable, but the half that was held beautiful jewelry and wooden bowls and other functional and decorative objects of wood, ceramic pieces and art glass. I was disappointed that they didn't carry fiber art, as I had found a wonderful scarf when it was Albany Art Gallery, but particularly liked the jewelry as well as several of the wooden items. One specific piece of art glass caught my eye as a wedding gift for friends who planned to be married in the future. When they married I returned to the gallery to look for that piece. It wasn't immediately visible so I asked about it. The woman working there brought out two pieces that fit my description and there it was! I bought it, she wrapped it in bubble wrap to protect it and a while later I boxed it up and mailed it to our friends, who loved it. I always enjoy spending time in galleries that are well curated and this one is. There were other things, jewelry in particular, I could have happily brought home, but I resisted. The people who work here have been friendly and helpful and it will be one of the places I go when I'm in the market for a gift.

Great local gallery with amazing artwork and jewelry. Everyone who works there has been very friendly and welcoming. I love that they offer a selection of unique gifts ranging from a simple pick me up gift to that very special jewelry or art piece!

This is a gorgeous addition to Solano Avenue's burgeoning art scene. It is a wonderfully colorful and diverse gallery representing local bay artists. The owner, Robby, an artist himself (sculptor) is so supportive and genuinely gracious. It is a pleasure to browse the space and a great source for unique, high quality art (& craftwork) for your abode or for gifts. I went to an artist talk (regularly held on weekends) and met such great people. This is a true gem in our community. Highly recommended!

Why is it that whenever I write a 1 star review it goes to the Not Recommended section? I have never written a 5 star review that has gone to this section-and I have written many. The owner has been repeatedly rude . I am in my 60s. This is uncalled for and really low class. I have been in the gallery a number of times and he has never made eye contact, smiled, and insulted me on my last visit.
