Got the Pho with Fillet and Brisket, and a Thai tea. Co worker got the Pho w Meatballs and Fillet. Bowls were deep but not huge. The broth was ok, I've had better. The beef was tender and tasty. Picked up a spring roll with Shrimp and Pork for the wife. She loved it! My biggest gripe is that I asked for separate checks so we could pay separately, the guy says ok then I swiped my card and when I looked it was more than I anticipated... so I asked if the check was all together and the guys says yeah... we say we asked for separate checks and he shrugged his shoulders and said sorry... no Fs given lol.No problem... probably won't tip 20% next time or come back because there are so many Pho places to go to. The place used to be Bon Chons, the decor was nice, the restaurant was clean.... Bathrooms ok. The servers attitude was ok but the end was less than ideal. Not the biggest deal but his attitude was a turn off.

Came on a Friday night and it was busy. Super slow service due to being understaffed. There were two waiters and one of them was training so she couldn't take orders or help with the bill. All she did was make drinks and fill up waters, but she did a terrible job and would forget everyone's orders / move very slowly. Tables were constantly flagging her about their drinks. There were two other workers who were only working on to go orders from delivery apps. Maybe they should turn off those apps and help in store customers when it's busy. Essentially, there were 10+ tables full of people and only one functioning waiter. I ordered the house pho with brisket and beef ball. The soup was bland and the noodles were stuck together. My friend ordered the fresh spring rolls with shrimp and they gave us veggie egg rolls... He sucked it up and didn't say anything since service was so slow and the restaurant was busy. The egg rolls were definitely undercooked and tasted raw. The table behind us was waiting for so long, they walked out before getting their food. Dirty tables when we sat down and had to flag the wait staff to clean. Terrible experience and would not come back. Be ready to wait a while for mediocre viet food.

We DEVOURED our pho. All three of us were fishing for the last tiny bits of rice noodles in our bowls of broth. I thought the broth was perfectly seasoned. Pho is the perfect meal for when you want something both comforting and refreshing.Definitely a bit pricey to sit down and eat here, but service was excellent. Lots of cute floral decor and very spacious.

Came here on a whim mostly because it's open till 2 am and most pho places close by 9 pm. Was pleasantly surprised that both items we had, the spring rolls and pho (forgot to take a photo lol) were quite good! The first thing I noticed about the spring rolls was that they were extremely fresh and crisp tasting! Also I loved that the vegetables were nice and cold which made refreshing. Solid. As for the pho, broth was tasty with a lot of depth with lots of noticeable spices. I wish I took a photo of this but the raw meat that we asked the side was surprisingly really good with lots of marbling. Was much better quality than the typical round that you get at other pho restaurants. Also solid. If this place was near me, I'd frequent often!

Went here with my family and was immediately disappointed when I saw that we had to order from the table with a QR code. Definitely oriented towards college kids and not family. If I have to order with my phone, then I'd rather use DoorDash. Then I looked up and saw 6 large TV screens on the wall (4 of them were on, one with volume) while loud music was playing. Did I mention that it's March and the place is still decorated for Christmas? Alas the food came and it tasted good until my daughter found a hair in the bean sprouts. Maybe this place expects all of its business to be takeout. Service? None except the water was refilled. There are so many great pho restaurants in the area. Unfortunately this one did not meet my expectations.

Pho that's available able at 1AM? Call me a fan. Kind of hard to find decent food options at that time. The dinosaur pho caught my eye since they had a picture of it on the wall inside the restaurant. It's a pretty big rib and the meat just fell off the bone. I recommend using a fork to get the meat into more manageable pieces to eat. Good amount of noodles included and the broth wasn't too heavy. I loved the chill, EDM music they were playing in the background too.

I've been trying to find a good pho place walking distance in Berkeley, so when I saw rave reviews about this restaurant, I was so excited to try. I ordered pho with steak and brisket, and my friend ordered the grilled pork dipping vermicelli plate. The restaurant itself is so cute, with nice comfortable spacious seating. Our waiter was very patient and kind, explaining to my friend how to eat his meal. The pho had a good amount of meat in it, but I was disappointed in the flavor of the broth. It honestly tasted pretty watery. My friend said the grilled pork was just okay, and wouldn't go here or get it again. This place definitely beats pho k & k but that's not really a high bar.

It's not everyday that a new Vietnamese restaurant opens up in Berkeley, so I was happy to hear about 84 Viet last year. I saw a new item "$75 Gigantic Pho" on their menu and knew I had to bring a friend to take it on.The presentation was definitely on point. A LOT of meat (bone marrow, brisket, viet meat balls, tendon, beef rib) arranged beautifully and in good portion too. The broth was tasty (a must for pho) and there were plenty of veggies to accommodate. I wish the noodle ratio was a bit more since this seemed heavy on the meat side, but at least we were getting our money's worth. The service was friendly and quick even for a sizable order like this, although I probably wouldn't recommend getting it if they're busy. The atmosphere is nice with lots of decorations and a decent amount of seating for families and friend groups. I may not take on the gigantic pho again, but I would come back for one of their "normal" (still big portioned) pho's

If it's a numbered pho restaurant, it's probably going to be good--and 84 Viet delivers. Their house pho is rich and flavorful, with a subtle complexity that doesn't rely on hoisin sauce to shine (though I still used some...because, well, hoisin sauce). The broth has a depth that sets it apart from other pho spots around Berkeley. The mint leaves, however, looked a little wilted--not the freshest.I originally came here because I'd had their T-Rex pho before. It was delicious, but pricey at $26. I was ready to splurge again, only to see the price had jumped to $30. That was a bit too wild for me, so I stuck with the house pho at $15. I took off one star for the steep price hike and the big gap between their regular and specialty options. The vibe inside has a laid-back bar feel--plenty of seats and surprisingly spacious. I came on a Thursday night and was the only one there at one point. It's not a reflection of the quality (the food's solid), but more a sign they're still new to the area and need more word-of-mouth.To the management: your food is great, but I worry people won't take the risk on those standout dishes because of the high prices. If there's a way to make your must-try items more accessible, I think this place could become a local favorite. That said, I'll definitely be back. They're open until 2 AM on some nights, which is heroic for the Bay Area. In a city that's still sluggishly waking up from its pandemic slumber, 84 Viet is helping lead the charge toward a more vibrant late-night scene.

There is no physical menu. You have to scan a QR code to see the menu, and your order must be submitted online while sitting at the table- they don't even have the time to take your order. My partner ordered pho. His plate of beansprouts etc came out almost immediately, followed by his soup maybe 5 minutes later. My order of the same was submitted when his bean sprouts were brought out. 15 minutes later, my soup was brought out to me. I had to ask for my plate of bean sprouts etc. I put them in, and the soup was not even hot enough to wilt the basil. The soup tasted like unsalted raw onions in a warm water bath. D for effort.
