Really easy getting inside the venue without a line, although to be fair we showed up about an hour after doors opened. I hadn't been 'out out' to a club like this in ages, due to the pandemic but also getting 'too old for this s' -- so my review might be a bit biased. But the club is much bigger than it looks like outside, with quite a few "rooms" with either the same music playing as the main stage, or different. The music in some areas are VERY close to the speaker system so the bass feels like a bomb blast going off. If you have 30+ year old ears, you may want to wear plugs (tinnitus is no joke!). The bartenders were all really quick and friendly- and drinks were fine. Not too watered down which was nice. The place gets hot and does have coat check so dress accordingly. The front gets tons of "dirty dog" hotdog vendors after which is great for post-club drunk munchies. Overall, decent club experience for someone who's aging out of the club scene

Awesome club with 3 different stages. Not interested in the main stage? Check out the other ones :)Bartenders were super nice each time we visit. My only gripe is the main floor gets mega crowded! In my opinion its better to hangout on the top level. Its much more spacious there! Whether you come with a squad or come by yourself, you are gonna have a good time here. I always meet some cool people!

TLDR: 1015 skews closer to early-20s crowd and the vibes reflect that. If one of your fave artists will be performing at 1015, attend, but don't expect much from fellow patrons, as it's my experience at least 50% of attendees are just there to dance and get f'd up. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised if the crowd doesn't act like they're celebrating their 21st birthday xDI think 1015 is totally fine, so long as you know what you're walking into. There is a (small) dress code, so be sure to check their website before attending if unfamiliar.+++ worth calling out: another reviewer from July 28, 2024 is very confused, must be new here? They're claiming this is a recent rebrand for SoMa, new spot for LGBTQ+ ... 1015 is 1015. Always has been since opening doors in 1989. For the last 14 years, Saturdays = PURA https://www.purasaturdays.com/ -- Latin music 10pm to 3am.+ 1015 will forever be a welcoming place for everyone *heart hand emoji* (while I hadn't walked through their doors until this year, my boyfriend went to SFSU and has many stories from back back in the day and I've heard plenty of folklore prior to meeting him).Longer: Shockingly, even though "EDM" is my most played music genre, I've only been to 1015 twice since returning to SF in 2018. Covid definitely (and obviously) played a roll in that. Plus, after 5 years deeply immersed in Seattle's music scene, familiar with every nook and cranny of Neumos, the Croc, Q + everything in between, I was wary I'd be able to find anything quite as special. I also wasn't too excited to go to this area of SF late at night not knowing exactly what I was going to be walking into. Friends had acknowledged 1015 is "more clubby" than other venues in the City and "clubby" isn't my vibe (won't catch me in heels, and absolutely no stilletto pumps in da club *Crime Mob shout out*). My first visit was on a weeknight to see Lilly Palmer (what a queen!) for $10 each ticket -- steal of a deal! The crowd was sparse, but full of people who were 100% there for the music. As much as I wholeheartedly believe I don't require friends next to me to enjoy the music in front of me, I allllllsoooo believe the crowd will make or break a show. This weeknight special was definitely a good intro for me to see where the restrooms, bars and exits are placed in relation to the multiple stages and gather my bearings for future visits with larger crowds. The sound was great considering the layout of the main room, though there are definitely pockets where sound is muffled or off.Second visit was a recent Friday to see ALUNA* -- and holy wow, hello Friday. The crowd leaned on the side of "I'm just here to party ;P *rock on emoji*" vs. "I'm here because I love this artist!" Packed like sardines, hot af, drunk people everywhere, someone puking in the restroom and another looking for their lost phone all before midnight. I saw some, but not a lot of, security. Security thoroughly checked us at entry, but I didn't see much after that. Our group of ~10 friends was able to cordon off a lil section of rail on the balcony and get ourselves some room to breathe, but observing the chaos around us was...interesting. I'll never again attend a Friday or Saturday show unless it's an artist I've not seen before or am absolutely, totally, 1000% in love with. Anecdotally, I've seen my fave artist 22+ times; they played 1015 NYE 2023, cheapest ticket was $250+fees... I was partially sad to miss their stop in town, but after my two experiences in da club, I am soooooo sooo soooooooo glad I didn't waste money on that show. So, moral of the story: If you wanna get shitfaced and dance in a hot room on the weekend, this is the place for you. If your favorite artist is playing here and you're willing to risk having a less than desirable experience and/or being surrounded by people who have never heard of the artist before that night, have at it. *ALUNA = another queen! who I've seen at least 5x as AlunaGeorge (my first viewing @ Coachella 2014, most fave: rail @ Upstream 2017, most recent: first ever First Thursday -- love her career arc, excited to see where she goes from here, but that's a convo for a different platform)

Not a bad club to dance and have a great night. One of my favorite venues in the city cause of the other levels of the venue. The artist chosen in each of shows are great. The crows is on the early 20s late 30s.

TABLE SERVICECompletely unacceptable experience. Dishonest and petty staff. You should fire Star for complete lack of integrity in this industry. Actually it's a dismal reflection of your business in general-- We had a table for my friends birthday. One of our friends got kicked out which is understandable and happens when they can't handle themselves.Once that happened Star flipped her personality. It IS NOT ACCEPTABLE paying for PREMIUM TABLE SERVICE and then having the bottle girl Star toss one of our bottles that STILL HAD ALCOHOL BEFORE IT WAS EMPTY and feigning ignorance.WHAT A JOKE. We spoke to JAY the manager who offered no meaningful solution.DO NOT COME HERE. Never in my life would I expect this from table service.Read the other reviews on here about the rude, disrespectful, power tripping staff. Good luck treating your clients this way.

Had a good time at the show, but it was sooo hot in there. I was able to find one vent upstairs that was blasting cool air, but there wasn't good air flow in there at all, left completely drenched in sweat! The music sounded good though.I appreciate that they had a coat check downstairs. She let me leave my mini backpack at one point with my jacket because somehow, my backpack kept getting unzipped like someone was trying to get into it, which was really frustrating, didn't feel safe and was tired of constantly having to check it and look behind my back. I was disappointed with how rude most the bartenders were. They desperately need a water station somewhere!! Expecting us to pay $4 for a water bottle that we can't refill is insane at a venue that serves alcohol and was so hot. I had to keep going to the bartender to get a tiny cup of water and I just poured it into the water bottle since they refused to fill the water bottle up, such a waste having to throw out all those cups!I could tell the bartenders were extremely annoyed of having to keep giving waters. Having a water station would definitely help the bartenders serve the people who want alcohol and make their tips, and not getting stuck pouring waters all night. I understood why they were annoyed, it's a really easy fix.It also kind of sucked that there was no where to sit downstairs. The upstairs little seating area filled up quickly.

I live in SoMa and I've been coming here for years. Absolutely love this spot! There are three levels (the third is VIP) and it's so fun. Friday nights are my favorite. They usually feature a popular DJ (last time I saw Austin Millz)When I'm with friends that want a more chill experience and sit down, we get VIP so you're up on the highest level looking over the stage. It's so cool with sofas and lounges. Definitely a fun spot to go to!

I love the 2 levels of dance floors. Each floor has Its own bar so that makes it very convenient. The sound system was great too. The bathrooms are clean. It's best to walk with others to and from the venue when at night though. There is a lot of car traffic but not much foot traffic.

We went here for Cupcakke concert. It was so much fun! The bartenders were friendly and giving me good suggestions for my drinks. DJs before the actual show were pretty good. However, the concert time needs to be more realistic. The time said 10-11, and Cupcakke didn't show up until 1. She only performed 30 mins... sad.

DO NOT COME HERE spent $80/person and only spent 30 minutes here. Staff were extremely dishonest and the security was very rude.I came on a Friday night to meet my group who had a booth that was $80/person. My partner came out after he was only there for half an hour to get me after a server told him it was okay to exit and reenter to let someone in as long as he let security know. So we told a security guard and they rudely told us to that we were not allowed in. They then showed us a sign on the BACK of the exit door that said no re-entry was permitted. This is ridiculous because why is the sign OUTSIDE the exit door, how is anyone supposed to see that and know they can't come back in?After talking more to security, they became more and more rude towards us and we decided to just leave. They wouldn't even let us go back to get our stuff. We are never coming back here, unbelievable that the staff lied to us and were so rude to us even after we paid $80/person only to be locked out.
