Nuevo Laredo Cantina

One of the oldest, best true authentic Mexican food. The food, the service and overall ambiance is just so great. Went for a lunch on a working day. Make sure to reach there by 11am if don't want to wait. The place is super crowded - both levels just because it's so famous and so good. You will see the pictures all over of all the famous people who came to eat here. Great chips and salsa and my friend ordered queso and a pork side .. mix of these two with chips was so yummy. I ordered 3 salmon tacos -- the best I have ever had !! Super good ! Great place with the best food !!

I'm from Texas and was in town visiting a family member. She is new to the Atlanta area and wanted to give it a try, so we did. Since we are both from Texas, we wondered if this place would have food as good as our Tex Mex back home. We went on a Sunday evening, and it was packed. We were told it would be a 35 minute wait, but we didn't mind. We figured it was probably worth the wait. We grabbed a couple of margaritas while we waited for our table. They were really good. My cousin got the regular margarita and I got the jalapeno margarita. That jalapeno margarita had a kick, as it had fresh jalepenos in it. It was so, so good that I had another, which is really not like me to have more than 1 drink. Our table was finally ready. The chips and salsa came out as well. The chips are served warm, almost hot to the touch. They were so fresh and crispy, and the salsa was delicious. We also ordered some queso which was yummy as well. Our main entrees were so good. I had the enchiladas and my cousin had a chimichanga. They were both very good. It was pretty spot on to authentic Mexican food, so Nuevo Laredo did not disappoint. Our server was Alex and she was fabulous! She provided such great service and was so friendly and attentive to our needs. She even provided recommendations of some other different kinds of restaurants my cousin could try since she's new to the area. Please give this place a try. If it's a long wait, it's worth it!

I have been trying to get here FOREVER but it's always packed and I see why! Nothing like an authentic Mexican restaurant that has anything you think you want! The menu, the parking, the food, the drinks were 10/10!! Our waitress was a gem! Explained everything and it made my selection extremely hard! BUT! I ordered the brisket quesadilla and my goodness SOOOO GOOD! Its slow cooked for hours. I also had a huge sangria that you can tell was made days ago with all the greatest in it!! The inside gave me old school Mexico with a hint of pride and authentically! The music was not played too loud in the restaurant. So pleas go here if you can ever get a table and tell them Jeneen, their new customer sent you!

My husband and I brought my teenage son for his first visit with his friends to celebrate his birthday. Staff is super competent and welcoming. Our drinks were refilled numerous times and the free chips and salsa were amazing. We also got the queso which was delicious. My son and friend split the beef fajitas with an extra order of flour tortillas, other friend got chicken enchiladas, my husband ordered the shrimp barbacoa, and I tried the Holy Tacsos, a vegetarian dish which was unique to me and delicious. The staff came with a big sombrero hat for my son and sang him Happy Birthdya in Spanish and a free dessert with birthday candle which I loved. Thanks for a fabulous birthday dinner for my teen!

Just had a wonderful experience at Nuevo Laredo! The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was fun and festive. I ordered my favorite dish, shrimp barbacoa and it was delicious as always. The shrimp were huge, thoroughly cleaned, and grilled to perfection. My husband and daughter both had steak and shrimp fajitas and they loved theirs as well. If you like heat, be sure to request their house/made hot sauces. Really tasty!

Good food at a good price, especially for the area! I came here during lunch hour on a Wednesday and it was pretty busy, so be sure to drop by a little early or late to avoid waiting. The chips and salsa are fantastic, and the queso is even better. I got the #7 Lunch: Burrito y Taco and the portion is massive! I was barely hungry after munching on bottomless chips but the food itself was solid. Both my burrito and taco were full of meat. Food was a bit slow to come out and not everyone got their food at the same time. The time between when the first and last person got their meal was easily about 15 minutes. Big parties are also not able to split checks - we asked and our server was not able to accommodate our request.NOTE: Parking is a bit limited in front of the building, but you are allowed to park directly across the street from the restaurant, on the right side of the lot. I confirmed this with the hostess.

Food was very good and the service as very nice the waitress si very nice and friendly. I love it. The place is beautiful very original I'm feeling in Mexico. For sure I will be back

Incredible little Mexican cafe that is an Atlnta gem! Their skinny margaritas were spot-on, served just the way we like them. We indulged in a spread of beef enchiladas, carne asada tacos, and a crispy beef hard shell taco, and each dish was downright delicious! The service was outstanding ! Inside, the atmosphere is cozy, adorned with vintage art and photographs, adding to its charm. And let's not forget about the salsa--it stole the spotlight! If you're hunting for authentic Mexican flavors and superb service, look no further than this hidden gem.

Today was my first time here. I was nearby and decided to check it out because I heard great things. Every thing I heard was true! The food was amazing! As soon as I sat down, they gave me chips and salsa. The chips were nice and warm/fresh. Salsa was also really good. I also ordered queso. Amazing! They have a lunch menu so I ordered the two enchiladas, one pork and one steak. Both really good but I think I like the pork better. The rice and refried beans were pretty standard. For drinks I got the skinny jalapeño margarita. You definitely need to try it! Service was great. They were so quick. Everyone was really nice and friendly. I got there close to noon. By the time I was leaving it started getting crowded but it didn't seem like they waited too long. They have a parking lot but it's not super big. Overall great experience and will be back!

Went for Mom's 86th birthday today and WOW the food was delicious but the service went WAY beyond normal! Our server and a bus person could see that we were struggling as we were leaving and they rushed to help us out. They carried my walker down the steps and walked Mom all the way to my car!
