I heard some people at a nearby table state how good they thought the best were. But the ones we tried weren't to much to our liking... They weren't bad, but they just didn't align with the flavor profiles we enjoy. The atmosphere there was also just okay in our opinion. Side note: dogs are allowed on their patios but not indoorsWe'll look for another place to imbibe the next time we're in the area.

This review is not for the beer. The space is airy with tall ceilings, large windows, and a bit of softened concrete and steel. You order beer and food from a counter and pick it up and seat yourself.I ordered the patty melt and fries. The fries were okay, but they were soft on the outside. The patty melt had soggy bottom bread that made it difficult to eat, and was far too salty (which is very unusual for me to say as I normally like things very salty). One of my friends also got a patty melt with veggie burger which served burnt and was an impossible burger instead, but he did say he liked it. I hope the beer is better but I wouldn't come back for the food.

This place was a great surprise! Gracious service, crisp fresh beer, and a smashburger to knock out all others. The fries could've been a little crisper (imho) but it was a perfect lunch. Dog friendly patio is very welcome too. Limited parking in the street should not keep you away, believe me. Loved this place.

My family and I went to North Park Beer Company while visiting San Diego. My son has recently become interested in visiting different breweries. My cousin in Pittsburgh owns a brewery and he highly recommended North Park. First of all, the inside and out of the building are beautifully done. There are two floors. Downstairs has great seating and is where you order your food and drinks. Upstairs has shuffle board, pinball, etc for entertainment. Their food was great. We had the Poutine Supreme and the BBQ Bacon Smash Burger. Neither disappointed. My husband and son thought they had a great selection of beers also. Parking is a bit of a hassle.

We live nearby and we see EVERYDAY, the cooks wear their aprons when they go outside on their smoke breaks. That's a health code violation - aprons are always to be removed whenever leaving the kitchen. We hope they are not wearing them into the bathrooms too.

I saw North Park Beer Company on a "Best Of" brewery list recently and since I already knew it was walking distance from where I was staying in San Diego for the weekend, I decided to finally try them out.I don't know for sure if they specialize in IPAs but it seems that way since there are so many offerings of that type. But I remember also seeing some stouts and pilsners. Along with that some non beer options such as hard kombuchas. I tried the HOP-FU and it was an enjoyable west coast IPA with the usual bitter and hoppy flavors so be warned if you have not yet tried this style of beer. There was about 20+ drink options so you should be able to find something you like. It's a nicely sized interior with a good amount of both inside and outside seating. I like how spacious the place is. It's the usual casual brewery vibe and we just sat ourselves at the bar. I found the bar itself, the overall shape of it a little odd and not as comfy as other bars I've been at. No issues with the service and the bartender was perfectly fine. I don't know specifics but they do serve food here and it's SD so you can feel feel free to bring you dog. No surprise, there is no parking lot, but it's not too difficult to find some nearby street parking and if you cannot find something that close you should be able to find parking adjacent to Balboa Park which is just a short walk away.I can see myself coming here again since I am a brewery fan and very much enjoy a strong cold beer.Cheers!

Some of the best beer you'll find in San Diego. It's not a place to drink many beers though. They're fairly priced but also at the higher end of pricing in the city. This location has more food options than the OG spot. All of which are good.

Brewery with their own kitchen?! Brunch on the weekends?! Non-beer options such as wine, cider, hard kombucha, and coffee?! This place has it all. One of my favorite spots to frequent when I want a meal with a drink. Their brunch goes until 2pm and that gravy is bomb. Favorite thing ordered so far has been the chicken and waffles.Cute vibes and lots of seating for indoor/outdoor. Dogs allowed and sometimes there can be a pup per table - no complaints here!Service is always great. Everyone is so nice and food comes out pretty fast. The only thing I realized that doesn't happen at this spot is they don't offer splashes for you to taste before you buy a full pour. A little sad since you can only purchase full pours (no tasters).Parking can be a hit or miss. At most, you'll circle for a few minutes.

Have been coming here for about a year since moving to the neighborhood and initially loved the space, the people, and the beer. The beer rotates pretty frequently and can be hit or miss depending on what you pick. The space is pretty cool but does fill up quickly. The main qualm I have here is with the staff. I've noticed a shift in the staff from the friendly approachable people who are willing to help find the best drink for you to this standoffish rudeness and staff who honestly don't care if you order a drink or go somewhere else. I still really like the location in North Park and I'd skip this spot just because me and my friends have had multiple meh to negative experiences over the last few months.
