North End Style Deli

North End Deli has been a Norwood staple for a very long time. I'm not sure how long they have been in business, but I remember getting delicious subs there in middle school, so it has definitely been around for a while.The subs are consistently excellent, with quality ingredients and a large selection of meats and cheeses - and they don't skimp on the amount of meat that they put on the subs. You get a LOT of food.The bread is amazing, whether you get the scala bread or a pita pocket. It's soft and fresh.The family that owns the place is really nice and they always get my order right. In addition to subs, they also sell Italian ice, some pastries, prepared Italian dishes (which vary) like pizza, and imported grocery items.I gotta say, for my money, these are the best subs in Norwood. If you are in a hurry or have a big order, phone it in ahead of time for pickup - the lines can get really long around lunch time!

Welcomed by the bobblehead collection. Favorite sandwich in the area. They serve Boars Head meats on the freshest bread. I get turkey & cheese and it's perfect. Wide selection of Italian treats. They also sell frozen take home meals beer & wine. Family owned operation with friendly staff. The ambiance feels like you are in your grandparents kitchen.

I have been here so many times as I used to work nearby . The homemade braided bread the sandwiches are on is amazing . They always make great , generously sized , fresh delicious sandwiches . Great service , too and readily adapt to any special or different requests .

Great sandwiches. This place is defiantly a local favorite. Don't expect anything fancy as the inside is like a true old Italian deli. Ask for the special sauce ,It's a combo of fresh tomatoes and onions yum!

I love this Deli. Lenny and his family are always so nice and friendly. The rolls and deli meats are amazing and the pizza is this great authentic Italian style, and it's absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you try this spot if you get a chance!

Amount of ingredients in their subs/sandwiches has dwindled. Not worth the cost.Not very friendly. Inside hasn't changed in years. We won't be going there anymore

Hands down best sandwiches in the game. Go with the Italian with everything on their braided roll, you won't regret it. It's our go to spot. Service is always great.

Glad to see I'm not the only person with concerns about the cleanliness of this place. The last time I was there became the last time I will be there.Is the family nice? Yes. Do they work hard? Yes. As a matter of fact, I never had a bad sandwich. But after looking around while waiting, the dust, cobwebs, and grime on the floor got to me. I tossed my sandwich and couldn't take more than one bite.Buy your food from someplace that cares enough to clean.

The male working (owner?) at the deli today needs to be schooled on the polite way to talk to people. You were rude when it really was so unnecessary. Did you give the next person who parked where I did the same attitude?

Saw this deli on my way home and stopped in after checking the reviews. Come home to find hair in my sandwich. When I called the business the owner told me to freeze the sandwiches and bring them in when I was back in Norwood again. This is the most bizarre suggestion I have ever heard a business owner make. I explained to the business owner that I'm not keeping someone's hair wrapped in a sandwich in my freezer. He yelled & hung up.This is the most filthy food establishment I have ever seen. There is clutter everywhere including old pill bottles just sitting on the deli counter. When I was there I kept thinking ok if it has good reviews and if its open per the Board of Health it must be ok. I ended up throwing the sandwiches away and will never return.
