North City Bistro and Wine Shop

AWESOME. Simply awesome. This restaurant is run by a husband and wife team who are on top of it. No detail missed, and excellent food to boot.It was my birthday and I wanted to do something fun but low key. Lisa found that North City Bistro had an evening with live music, Francesco Crosara was performing with a quartet.We started with truffle fries and a drink, both were very good.Because of the entertainment, we paced ourselves, moving on to another snack, the Brussels sprouts. These were fabulously seasoned and cooked to perfection.For dinner Lisa had the cauliflower steak--a big cut of cauliflower--and added actual steak. I had a bite and it was pretty good.I opted for a "child's dinner" with the macaroni and cheese add chicken. Now it's true that I don't usually eat pasta, but this was really tasty.The music was awesome, the atmosphere was amazing.We will definitely be back!

This restaurant is a gem for its great food and live music. The menu is diverse with small plates and entrees and has excellent vegetarian options. Everything we tried was delicious and had a uniqueness with its flavors and ingredients, turning simple foods dishes into the next level not always found elsewhere. I will definitely return again and again! I loved seeing the chef/owner out on the floor taking time to chat with guests. The service was excellent. The jazz music was a wonderful addition to really good food.

Came for the music and enjoyed so much more!! Started with well crafted cocktails. The food is great. Started with chorizo stuffed dates and roasted Brussel sprouts. Our table of 4 then had the perfectly cooked pork chop, pasta carbonara, lamb ragout and cauliflower steak. All were delicious. Crazy large wine selection! Pick a night with live music you've hit the jackpot!!!

Taylor is the new owner of this spot. Taylor was the Executive chef for the Seattle Seahawks. The food is fucking amazing, the family feel is great, the music is great and local, and the ambience is memory making. Wine selection is outstanding and the cocktails are beautifully prepared. This is an all around gem in every way!!!

I used to live in Shoreline and never discovered this hidden gem. Its full of whimsy and delicious smells and wonderful sounds. Wonderful sounds you might ask? Yes, there is live music scheduled at North City Bistro and it is lovely! This location has recently changed ownership and while I never visited prior to this change the service we received was top notch. All I can say is definitely try everything because we definitely did. Amazing, flavorful Brussel sprouts, satisfying and comfort food spectacular Mac and cheese, super creamy and tasty mushroom soup, crispy truffle fries, a classic creme brûlée done right and a truly perfect night cap of Caramel affogato.Visit this sophisticated setting for a night to remember and you won't be disappointed.

Catering, excellent!We arranged a catered lunch for 21 people. All guests raved about the quality of the food. Leah and Taylor were very good about arranging the menu with me by phone and email. Taylor delivered in person to our event space and set up everything in the kitchen. No details omitted. Exceeded our expectations, we would love to hire them again.

I live across the street from this place and brought some family over who were in town visiting. This place is amazing. Every drink and bite was an amazing punch in the face full of flavor. We had smash burgers, brussel sprouts, fish & chips, and drinks. Everything was perfectly prepared, quickly served, and I can't stop thinking about. I've been obsessed with going back for more.

Best veggie burger I've had in a while. Additionally the plate was heated so the burger and fries stayed hot the entire meal. I ordered a side of yogurt ranch with it and it was a great addition. I will be back!

We went on a double date to North City Bistro on a recent Friday night and had a lovely time enjoying dinner and the show. The food is delicious and shareable (crispy Brussel sprouts, sautéed sea scallops, Mac and cheese, meat and cheese plate) and the live music was terrific. Yes, it can get lively (a little loud) but it is pleasant and in an intimate setting. There are about a dozen tables in front near the band where you can enjoy the show. There are also about 8 tall tops toward the back if you want something a little more intimate and cozy.We enjoyed cocktails to start, wine with dinner and affogato with dessert. With such a large variety of food and drink, there is something for everyone. We loved the creme brûlée to share!The staff and owners are kind and pleasant. We will definitely be back for their happy hour and Sunday brunch.

Everything was really yummy! Service was good. They have tons of wines, good beer and a lot of cocktails. we sat on the patio but inside looks nice too! Definitely will be back!
