As advertised this place is exactly what they say they are. A dive bar in Fremont. The unique thing about this place is that it is extremely dog friendly to the point where they even have a separate menu for dogs. That is the first time I've seen anything like that. There's plenty of room in this place and lots of TV's. I just got the standard Norm's Burger and it did the trick.

My partner and I stopped by for breakfast earlier this morning. I ordered the eggs benedict with lox and my partner had the steak and eggs. My breakfast was really good (the bar tender also let me know that the crab was imitation crab before he put in the order, giving me time to change my order). My partner was not happy with his. He ordered scrambled eggs (I saw the bar tender write that down) and he ended up with over easy eggs. His steak was also a very thin piece of meat...unsure the cut. He was not satisfied (primary reason for a lower score). The drinks were great. I had a vodka drink with muddled grapefruit and a champagne float - it was amazing. My partner had the loaded bloody mary - he enjoyed it very much. Our bar tender was friendly and efficient. The inside was clean and the dogs were all happy patrons. The two dogs that didn't seem to get along had great owners, one said "I think this might be too much" and found another spot to sit.

Wow, this might have been the worst dining experience I have ever had and I'm not saying that lightly. We were out for the day with our pup and saw Norms, which appeared dog friendly from the sign. We checked online and loved the fact that dogs are allowed inside. Online, they even had a dog food menu which is super unique and fun!We came in around 12 on a Monday and only 1 other table was occupied. We were seated and given menus. We were told they were only serving off the brunch menu, which was fine. The brunch menu was already small and they had tape over a few of the options, making for even less choices. Our sever said they're in the process of getting new menus. This was a bit confusing, as they had a chalk sign outside that said to check out their new menu...They didn't have a dog menu like was advertised online, they didn't even offer our pup a water bowl (not sure if this is a sanitary restriction and if that's why, totally understandable). We order a cocktail and our food. The kitchen has an open view, so I can see there's 3 (sometimes 4) chefs cooking. And remember I said there was only 1 other table in the restaurant. At about an hour into waiting, our server comes by and apologizes for the wait and asked if we wanted another drink. This is the first time he has came to check on us in the hour we've been sitting. We order another drink. AN HOUR AND 15 MINS later we get our food. I got the biscuits and gravy, take a huge first bite as I'm now super hungry and... it's cold. How can the food takes that long to make and its cold when I get it... My husband got the T bone steak and eggs. My husband will eat pretty much anything, rarely complains, and cleans his plate at nearly every meal. He said this was the worst steak he's ever had and not to mention it costed an outrageous $35. And no, he didn't finish it. AFTER our food comes, we finally get our second drink (about a 20 minute wait for the drinks) and I tell our server that my food is unfortunately cold. Since we've now been here at least 1.5 hours, I didn't even want it remade, I just wanted it taken off the check, which he did without a problem. Our sever told us that Norm's is under new ownership... they have a lot of work to do. I thought this was a fun concept and was excited to try it but unfortunately this will go down as my worst restaurant experience.

I enjoyed coming here - we found street parking easily on a week night (very difficult on the weekend). The very best part (by far) is that you are allowed to bring your dog which is such a game changer for us. We even saw one guy bring his cat. The food here was just decent, but they have amble gluten free, and our server was very nice. I would say the food is a tad bit overpriced. As you can imagine, the ambiance is quite chill because people are all hanging with their dogs. They've got TVs with sports showing which is always entertaining. I think we will be back because we love getting to bring our pup along - just hoping I find something I like a bit more (food wise) on our next visit!

'Ello chaps,Browse the reviews of Norm's Eatery and you may miss that it appears to be a hole in the wall bar joint - framed Playboys lining the walls - but look at the point of visiting. The food. Norm's is a dog-friendly neighborhood pub with American fare, and emphasis on dog-friendly. The only restaurant I've come across in all my travels that allow dogs inside the restaurant (limitations of course, no dogs on the table or licking from plates, you know that nasty stuff). They also have a generous dog menu to feed the pups while you're at it.There's a variety of burgers, salads, and the like and the food is good. Free parking near by, and dog friendly. It really saved us on a rainy day in Seattle when we were getting hungry. In fact, doing some pre-trip research we found Norm's constantly at the top of lists of restaurants and we're glad we made the venture out of our way to stop by.Overall I give Norm's the rare five stars out of five.

The best part of Norm's is that you can bring your dog in with you. The food was decent - we got the smothered burrito and the country breakfast - but it was just so nice to be able to bring my dog in with us on a cold and rainy day when we had an hour to kill between a puppy playtime session and a puppy kindergarten class in Ballard.

3/13/24 Walked in with my dog, and was turned away on the spot. The bartender, one of only two people in the place, told us that the health inspector was there, and until they get their health rating back up, they can't allow dogs inside. Would have been nice if they somehow published that information. I drove all the way from Edmonds to have dinner with my dog.

I used to go to norms all the time years ago. It was great then. Feeling nostalgic, some friends and I returned for brunch. We found the menu to be quite different than before, which wasn't terrible per se. I'll start by saying my food was fine.... but that's all it was. I had the eggs Benedict, which was described as having arugula, a browned butter hollandaise, and fried shallots. It lacked any of those things. We never got water refills and had to ask multiple times to have our coffee refilled. The bloody Mary was subpar as well. The real kicker was when the bill came. Not only did they include the credit card service fee, but most of the prices of items didn't match what was listed on the menu. For the price, you can find significantly better brunch elsewhere. It wasn't even busy- so I'm not sure why the service lacked. I won't be back.

Outstanding place for happy hour or dinner, best thing is dogs are allowed inside and they have a menu.
