We had the sweet trio and the French seasoned omelette with ratatouille. wow! That french toast was so good!! And the hotcakes had a perfect texture. Servers were really kind to us and accomodated anything we needed. Cute restaurant and it seems that many people frequent here.

My girlfriend and I went right when they opened at 7. We were immediately sat and our server immediately gave us water. The restaurant is very clean, and the menu isn't too big which I liked. I ended up getting the Denver Omelette with a bagel and cream cheese. It was very good and so cheesy. My girlfriend got the French Toast with Chocolate on top and Strawberries and Blueberries. It was a 10/10She also got a cold brew coffee that did not disappoint!I highly recommend coming if you are looking for a nice easy breakfast place next to the chicago history museum.

A bustling breakfast/brunch (open for lunch and dinner, too) place. When we arrived there was a line and we were told the wait was 20 minutes, but we were seated in less than ten minutes.Very nice decor, it was modern but still felt cozy. Our waitress was a rock star: she was running full-on and still able to make sure we were well-attended to. I over-tipped her, but I believe breakfast waitresses can never REALLY be over-tipped.I ordered the smokehouse frittata, which was tasty enough, but it did not LOOK like frittatas I've had in the past as it was flat and pancake-y looking. Smokehouse skillet might have been a better name for it. My husband said his Denver omelette was good.I would like to come back for their French toast with berries because I am a waffle-pancake-French toast kinda gal.

Atmosphere: clean, bright, welcoming with a touch of modern!Service: quick, friendly and they have a dedicated person just to refill your coffee and water!Food: super gender portions, well prepared and tasty. The 3 egg omelet reads more like 6 eggs = consider sharing...!Wish they had a place like this in the Bay Area.

Since they don't take reservation, we didn't have a chance to try until today. The service was fast; however, the food was about average. We got the French toast, Croissant Napoleon and enchiladas. Everything was in generous portions! I had a higher expectation for croissant napoleon. It was tasty, but I wish the croissant layer be more flaky/crispy. Although the corn flakes added some crunchiness to it, the croissant layer was mostly gooey.I'm planning to go back for other dishes and maybe I'll find a favorite one.

Went at 11am on Saturday so crowds were expected but my wait time for a table of 2 was about 15minutes. The service for the food was exceptional slow knowing it would be awhile for our food. Our food was very good but again took an exceptionally long time to get it. New menu, new prices. Getting more expensive here but decent value for what you get.

Nookies is the perfect neighborhood brunch spot. Friendly service and breakfast food just how you want it. Got eggs, bacon and pancakes. It might seem basic, but when everything is done right, you don't need anything else. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a cute side street view.

I recently had brunch at Nookies and got a chance to sit on their patio. This was a Chicago goal of mine just since I always walk past it and it looks so nice. Everything lived up to the hype including the service and the food. I ordered the green goddess skillet which was yummy. I do wish I was able to try a handful of other menu items. I will have to go back again to try lunch and dinner there!

Came here for brunch and the place is huge. Despite how busy they were, our party was able to get a seat with less than a 10 minute wait. We ordered the smokehouse frittata and farmers egg skillet. On the menu, the frittatas are labeled as "Frittas" but I think it might have been a typo. Either way, the smokehouse frittata was delicious. The bacon in it was crispy and the Carmel used onions worked really well with the mushrooms. It was nice because both dishes also came with hash browns and toast. Just make sure to tell them what type of toast you would like. If you don't specify, they'll assume you don't want toast and won't bring you any.

Nookies never disappoints!! It's the perfect nostalgic feeling of going out to breakfast where there are so many local regulars sitting there reading the paper (yes, the actual printed newspaper). You can tell this place has been here for a long time and is a staple routine of many! Not to mention the service is impeccable. Not once was my cup of coffee or water more than 2/3 empty (caffeine levels were through the roof). The portions are massive and the food is classic. A great breakfast go-to!
