Delicious ramen, exactly what I'm looking for, and what is missing, in this area. We had tonkatsu ramen, mini octopus and agedashi tofu. Everything is top notch. We will be coming back often! The service is also very good

Had a 7:30PM reservation. No wait just how I like it.Place was full on a Saturday night.Started with a couple of Izayakayas, Agedashi Tofu (light and tasty) and Fried Mini Octopus (not chewy). The dipping sauce was so good.Tonkatsu Combo, pork cutlets with a sweet & savory sauce. Two crunchy piece of shrimp tempura, rice and a slaw. I really enjoyed this. The sauce was something I never tasted before.Open space, great service with reasonable prices.Really wanted to try the Ramen but just had noodles for lunch so I passed. I will try next time when I come back!* I was told the Ramen was pretty good but need to review for myself :)

This was our first time here and my bf and I went to have a nice little lunch date. When we walked in, no one was there which was nice. We were immediately seated and instantly, the vibe made me think of a swanky Chicago club without the sweaty, dancing people. The tables were strewn everywhere, with a modern bar center piece, a back lit sign of the Nomu name and a wall dedicated to a floral piece outlined in filled gold. Very chill vibe and I like the open room concept. You didn't feel stifled and everything was open. When it comes to the food, it was absolutely delicious and the drinks were yummy too. My bf ordered a miller light while I ordered a non alcoholic drink called the sunset. The sunset had various fruit syrups and was delightful snd refreshing. Plus, it was pink and who doesn't love a fruity cute pink drink in the middle of summer?!? For Izakaya small plates, we ordered chicken karaage and fried mini octopus. Both came, freshly out of the frier and crunchy. The karaage was so good, the batter was golden brown and the chicken was tender. It came with this orange spicy sauce that elevated each bite. If there was anything to complain about, it was that I didn't ordered more. The fried mini octopus was yummy too! It was succulent and nicely breaded. Like the karaage, the batter was golden brown but the octopus was tender and melt in your mouth. The sauce it came with was very good as well. Both plates were good and getting me hyped for the main dishes. The main dish my bf ordered was a Kara Tori paitan (a ramen soup) with charred carrot, corn and scallions. I ordered the nabeyaki with extra beef. These soups were flavorsome however some adjustments could be made. My bf enjoyed his Kara Tori Paitan but was disappointed that he couldn't have the juicy sous vide chicken breast which should have been included but it wasn't ready yet by the time we ordered so he subbed in tofu instead. My bf said the ramen noodles and tofu were tender and the broth was filled to the brim with flavor. My nabeyaki udon was good. Udon noodles were thick and tender, perfect for soaking up the flavorful broth. The shrimp tempura, fish cake, egg and thin slices of beef added nice texture and flavor to the overall soup. Also, the use of a clay pot made the soup steaming when it came to the table.Overall, it was a really nice lunch with good food. The customer service was quick and efficient and everyone was nice. Had to take one star off because my bf couldn't have the chicken with his soup which was a main reason as to why he chose that soup and they ran out of the matcha tiramisu which is something we were excited to eat for dessert. Other than that, it is a bit pricey but nothing to hinder us from coming back again and trying more food.

Came here on a weeknight for dinner. The place was not busy. As a side note the directions took me a weird way to this restaurant. It is just along the side of the plaza behind SGD. We ordered a couple of appetizers and two of the ramen bowls. We ordered the Agedashi tofu- two pieces of tofu that had decent flavor with the sauce and seaweed pieces over it. The Takoyaki was served in a special platter like the thing used to make the balls. Those were tasty and there was a decent amount of them too, covered with lots of Bonita flakes, seaweed and green onions. The two bowls of ramen that we ordered was the Tonkotsu Shio and Tonkotsu Shoyu, I had the Shio and it was flavorful and rich and creamy broth. The portion size too was decent for the price. Overall a good experience here.

07/28/24 - My wife and I checked out Nomu Ramen tonight. Nomu is located on the far south end of the Korean strip mall in Glenview on the east side of Milwaukee. FYI Nomu Ramen is located around the corner on the far south end of the mall. We drove in & didn't see it. We drove by all the way to the north end before coming backThe restaurant is nice w/very good service. The staff @ Nomu was outstanding from the time we entered we were greeted by Chris (manager) @ the door. We were seated & Alanah our server introduced herself. She was very sweet & kept coming back to check up on us to see if we needed anything. We both ordered the Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen w/pork belly. At other ramen restaurants I usually get the pork broth as it tends to be very rich w/flavor from the pork bones that ramen restaurants sfor hours. While the broth was good it wasn't as rich flavor wise as some of the other ramen place I've been to. The Tonkatsu requires vigorous boiling to emulsify the fat into the broth & create that yellowish creamy texture. The ramen was pretty good but lacked some of the richness that other ramen broths have.

We walked right in, after our favorite place next door had a line. They sat us right away and it became clear shortly that they were a little short staffed: we weren't in a rush so no sweat , but they insisted on covering our appetizer as a way to make it up to us, even though we were totally fine! The food took a little bit but it was delicious, and they happily accommodated my noodle switch request. They redid the decor as well and it's a full bar if you're interested! Highly recommend, we will be back!

We were lucky enough to get a BOGO ramen coupon for this place and it truly did not disappoint! We had the Nomu tanmen , tonkatsu ramen, Katsudon, Nabeyaki Udon, octopus. All were delicious and good sized portions. I highly recommend the Katsudon as the pork cutlet was extremely juicy and delicious. The food came out quickly, and the waiter was so very attentive. He somehow knew just the right time check in on us while still juggling a bunch of other tables. The place started out pretty empty when we first came at lunchtime but then it started to fill up steadily. Nice quiet and kid friendly environment. I also recommend coming in through the back entrance where parking is easier. I think we will definitely go back, even without a coupon.

We were in the area searching Yelp for a place we have never dined before and came across this restaurant. When you first walk in the door all the stress of the day immediately left our bodies! The lights are dim and there is music playing softly in the background. They have low tables and high tables (we asked to be seated at a low table. There are tables against two different walls that have a one sided booth across that fills the entire two walls. The waitress came up to us right away with ice water her name was Kat and she was very kind and professional. We knew what we wanted so we placed our order at that time. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shio Ramen and my husband ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen. The Ramen was served in a very pretty bowl. The broth for the ramen I had was very creamy. I liked my husbands broth better. The Chashu was sliced very thin and it melted in our mouth! So delicious. The broth was nicely seasoned and we loved the egg! We will definitely be back when we are in the area! The noodles are the same size as the ones you get at the store but these are fresh and have more chew to them. I noticed that the soup spoon was way too big and a little hard to eat without splashing some broth on your chin. My husband did not have the same issue. We loved dining here and highly recommend. The prices are just as good as the food!

I found this place off Google. It didn't have many reviews on Google or Yelp but the average review was solid. It's located in the same area as Paik's Noodle, SGD, and Bonchon. You'll just turn right. Plenty of parking. When you walk in, the restaurant looks chic but casual. They have a bar too. We were welcomed and seated immediately. We ordered bacon okonomiyaki, truffle potato pancake, butadon, and tonkotsu shio ramen. Service was good but I wished our server would have wiped up the little spillage from the hot tea. Prices were decent. -bacon okonomiyaki 5 - ample amounts of bacon in the dish. Flavor was perfect, not overly salty.-truffle potato pancake 4.5 - the truffle sauce is more on the subtle side but you can still taste it. Pancakes are crispy.-butadon 5 - pork belly was perfectly tender and cooked. You can tell they took their time in preparing this dish so that the meat isn't too tough.-tonkotsu shio ramen 5 - broth is not too heavy. It has a good flavor. Nice ratio of noodles to veggies to broth.

I came by today with my family on a whim and let me tell you, what a pleasant surprise. This place is kind of tucked away on the side of the plaza, but it feels like a hidden gem! The appetizers? Fire. We got the chasu sliders and pork gyoza. Both were phenomenal. I got the tanmen ramen and my cousin got the tonkatsu shoyu ramen. Great flavor, great portions, great service. Had a great waitress and the manager(?)/bartender(?) mixed some super yummy cocktails for us. Overall, wonderful experience and looking forward to coming back!
