We did the omakase, would not do again. Most of the fish was fresh enough, but there was nothing memorable. There was 1 piece of COOKED, very bland shrimp thrown in the middle - what exactly were they thinking here?! Couldn't venture a guess. I love ebi, and to have a stale, cold, cooked piece as part of an omakase was a brutal disappointment as I had high hopes for this spot. It was also extremely rushed- all of the folks at our seating finished much sooner than us. The duration of the entire meal was less than 35 min -and that was with us specifically slowing the pace down a quarter of the way through.Overall, not worth the money for the lack of thoughtfulness and quality.

I was skeptical when I was easily able to make a reservation for Saturday night less than 24 hours in advance. But this sushi spot from the same team that runs Ramen Wasabi across the street is a hidden gem. Extremely high quality cuts of fish, generous portions of nigiri, and although more expensive than your typical BYO sushi spot, these are not omakase prices. They have a great selection of nightly specials (specials as in fish available for the night, not discounts), and the Hokkaido uni was phenomenal. My one ding is that I wasn't a fan of the spicy tuna roll, which seemed to just be a tuna maki squirted with spicy mayo. Next time I'll stick to the nigiriAmbiance is trendy, but not loud so a great upscale hang

I was so impressed with this newish neighborhood gem! It's been on my list since it opened and I had the chance to pop in yesterday. One weird thing: online it liked like they had no reservations available but there was plenty of space when we walked in. If you're on the fence, call them or try walking in, we were able to be seated right away!My friend and I ordered a round of drinks and a few things to share. The Jasmine cocktail was so tasty! Our server was super friendly and helpful and made great recommendations. The rolls we had were great. This is pricier than some other neighborhood spots but the quality is excellent. I didn't take any pictures but the interior is clean, comfortable, and a good vibe. I'll definitely be back!! Excited to try more across this interesting menu.

A new sushi spot dropped into logan square brining some delicious fish in a well designed and decorated spot that nicely opens to outside. The bar is beautifully designed and the happy hour give a you nice selection of bites and drinks. You have plenty of choices of rolls or sashimi/nigiri. I'm not sure exactly what I'd recommend other than grab a nice sample across the menu and you can't go wrong.

My husband and I really enjoyed our first visit to this newer sushi restaurant in Logan Square. I made last minute reservations on a Saturday night and we were seated right away when we arrived. To start, I ordered the Black Dice Cafe cocktail. This cocktail reminded me of the delicious tiki style drinks that I've had at other places. Spirit forward and refreshing. The chicken karaage and shiro miso Caesar salad were both great starters. The salad was my favorite between the two of them. We tried a few different rolls. I especially enjoyed the Kani Hotate and El Capitan maki rolls. I definitely want to try the surf and turf roll next time. My husband also did the hand roll omakase and enjoyed the selection. I was impressed with the freshness of the fish. There are a handful of other sushi restaurants in the Logan Square area, but I can't think of that many that feature such high quality fish at this price range. The interior design of the space, service, and food were all memorable. I highly suggest checking this place out.

Good but not great sushi, rolls are on the small side, and it's OVERPRICED.Ate at the restaurant with another couple. Everyone had 2 drinks. I had 2 whiskeys for $25 a glass. Everyone else had beer and or sake. So we probably had $120 of liquor. Our bill before tip was $428. We had a 4 of their special rolls which are priced in the $21 to $25 price. They were good, but on the small side. A couple normal maki also which were in the small size. We had several pieces of sashimi which were $7 to $10 a piece and then multiple appetisers. I definitely enjoyed the meal. But I'm not sure I'd come back given the price. I think there is better value elsewhere. I did enjoy the variety of fish they had. They had several fish that you won't find elsewhere. The ambiance was nice although the table was on the small side. Staff was friendly.I'd give it 3.5 stars.

What an outstanding experience we had at this restaurant! The fish was so fresh! There we so many creative options to choose from, and they were able to accommodate gluten free modifications without issue. The price for the quality was super reasonable. I will be back!

Good sushi, great service, fantastic ambiance in an intimate and tastefully decorated space. Not cheap for the portions, but I would gladly come back again to try the omakase menu in particular since the sashimi was so fresh. The only nit I have is that they are still working out a dessert menu since they are fairly new (just opened 2 months ago). But overall this is a wonderful new addition to the Wicker Park / Logan Square area!

How Nomonomo wasn't packed to the gills on a Thursday night is confounding. I can only guess we snuck in before the rest of Chicago caught on to this gem. Across the street from the best ramen in town (Wasabi), it's only a matter of time before the folks waiting to be seated there come and indulge here instead with zero regret, then come back for more. The ambiance is sophisticated and perfectly lit with tasteful wave-inspired wallpaper and simple but elegant design that mixes Japanese and American taste. The sushi was delicious, nigiri delightful, and sashimi lip-smacking good. There were special fish selections not available in the online menu, which was a very pleasant surprise, particularly for someone who studied the menu out of excitement before coming. Service was quick and the plating was beautiful.Bartender Nate took great care of us with recommendations and well crafted cocktails. After indulging in Sake, we wish we had had more and I will make it a point next time to start and finish with it. I cannot wait to go back to Nomonomo; I was already asking my husband before we left when he would be open to coming again. 10/10 recommend. A fantastic addition to the sushi scene in Chicago. Logan has another star restaurant on its hands.
