We came here randomly on a Sunday around 3pm, which is the start of their happy hour (perfect timing!). We had chicken wings, sliders, pretzels and 3 drinks each, the total bill without tip came to around $100 which isn't bad for a lunch in this location. Only the bar area with the surrounding tables were open since there were only about 20 people there, but they also have a covered patio and upstairs seating as well. Looks like they must have a DJ or live music often because the patio had a whole set up. I believe it's New Orleans inspired. The only thing is that it is indoor/outdoor with no ac, so we were starting to sweat towards the end there since the sun started peaking in! If we were in the shade we would of been fine. We will definitely be back!

food was ok.I tasted off two friends plates and neither was great so I just got a water. Absolutely No air conditioning at least when we went, so people were stanky while eating their waffles. Ion like det. servers were nice.

I just have to say this first. The cheeseburger slider on the happy hour menu for $4, was amazingly delicious and it is one that has triggered a core memory. If you need a little more convincing, then I'll tell you about the slightly pink center of the beefy, juicy patty, the delicious sauce filling the nooks and crannies in the beef, the crunch from the bacon between the soft hawaiian roll, and the caramelized onions that really elevated the burger. If nothing else, make room for this.We also ordered the wings from their happy hour menu ($1 per wing), and those wings are so crispy! I would describe them as being fried is 500 degree oil or chicharon covered chicken wing. We were able to get the cajun dry rub on all the wings and had the dipping sauces on the side. Our favorite was the parmesan garlic. So we also had the DDD black and gold poboy recommended on Guy Fieri's Faves. I've never had beef in my poboys, and I can't say it was my favorite. I did enjoy the rest of the sandwich with all the dressings. It tasted even better when I added a bit of the side hot sauce (from the wings). Our waitress was amazing and answered our questions and more. I definitely recommend this spot!

Wow. True southern cooking and exceedingly great flavor. Top three Mac and cheese with fried catfish... to die for. Red beans and rice with sausage... oh my goodness. Incredible. Service was near perfect and if you are looking for great food, huge portions, and a down South taste, this is the place

A MUST stop to eat at. The spices and flavors are authentic to New Orleans cuisine. Owner/Chef is from the Bayou. The menu is not overpowering. It highlights New Orleans dishes very well. Manager Ollie, servers Anna and Josh, the whole team are fantastic! You're welcomed. Very comfortable. It's the California 3C's; Casual, Cool and Comfortable! You know Guy Fierri filmed Diners, Drives and Dives and loves the food at the establishment

Service was okay, sub par at best. They do offer bottomless mimosas for brunch on the weekends $20 a person. They give you a whole bottle per person and offer pineapple, orange or grapefruit juice. Bottomless has a 2 hour limit. I didn't get bottomless mimosas as I was Designated Driver , however I did have a pineapple mimosa and it was pretty good. I also had an espresso martini which was also very good. I lived in Louisiana/ New Orleans for a good amount of time of my early adult life.. and I would say this is an alright place if you want Cajun inspired food. I absolutely love shrimp po'boys so it's safe to say I was a little disappointed. The shrimp was fried perfectly. However, I know we're not in Louisiana so seafood is totally more expensive than it is back in New Orleans.. but I wish I had more shrimp in my po'boy. I'm used to HUGE po'boys with tons of shrimp. Fries were good. I did like the seasoning. They did have Louisiana hot sauces to choose from like Crystal hot sauce, definitely a Louisiana thing which I loved that they had. My boyfriend had the fried chicken French toast sandwich. He wasn't a big fan. My boyfriend's uncle ordered the Louisiana Hot Chicken. It smelled delicious. He said he loved it. We also had some Louisiana Blackened shrimp as an appetizer. Yum. It was good but I don't know if I would go back.

We discovered this gem after seeing it on TikTok and we are glad we did. Firstly, the service here was exceptional from the moment we entered until the moment we left. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food here is delicious and the restaurant itself has a wonderful aroma from all the flavors used in the cooking. Upon receiving the menu, we realized that this establishment had been featured on the Food Network's Triple D's!

Raises in South, I can't resist southern restaurants and bars, especially if they serve cajun or Creole dishes. I saw Nola on 5th and had to stop by. From the street, the outdoor appearance is clearly influenced by the Crescent City. Tried some of the signature drinks. I like the one in the photo below. I also sampled their gumbo, etoufee, jambalaya. The flavors were a bit hit or miss for me. Visually, i could not tell whixh bowl was gumbo vs etoufee. The bartender was cool, and the place definitely had its charm. I might be willing to try there again on my next visit

The staff was 100% amazing, thank you to Nik who was attentive and informative about the menu and helped us order some tasty dishes that didn't disappoint! My husband and I met my friend here, a few things: parking is a mess cause this is in Hillcrest and it's only street parking so you not only need to be mentally prepared but ALSO patient. That said we parked on Anderson Plc. which is not even a block from the restaurant, Anderson and 5th have a pay-for parking also so if you have the funds and don't want to fuss then park there but also it fills up so be prepared. Food: I ordered the catfish & shrimp po' boy, it was really tasty, but you gotta remember they have a sauce on it that combined with tomato and lettuce can make the bread soggy if you sleep on eating this bad boy. It was such a large portion that I finished my first half of the sandwich and for the second half, I ditched the bread and just chowed on the shrimp and fish. Hubby got their burger, my only question was why the bun of the burger was significantly larger than the meat patty... I would say this is the only reason they lose a star but maybe it was just how the patty shrunk from cooking (?)My lovely friend got the chilaquiles and she was pleased, she took her leftovers to go. I also got a bloody mary that came with a big strip of bacon, it was a good touch for the bloody mary and it was a good balance of spicy, salty, and tangy. This is a bar atmosphere, they show sports (GO SPORTS TEAM!) on their television and it likely can get boisterous, so do with that what you will!
