Nogales Hot Dogs

Our go-to spot for hot dogs. For some of the toppings like bacon, tomatoes, beans, and onions you ask them to put it on when you order. For the remaining toppings - shredded cheddar, cotija, mushrooms, pickled jalapenos, salsa verde, and avocado salsa, you put these on yourself at their toppings bar. All the toppings are included with the cost. For the toppings bar, you put as much as you like. They also have chips, water, and sodas for sale. Prices are very reasonable and the owners are exceptionally kind and welcoming. There are several tables set up in the tent for you to eat. The tent also has removable walls, so no problem in the rain or windy days.

I'm guessing it's been about 5 years since I've eaten a hot dog, so when Nogales Hot Dogs was our destination for dinner I didn't know what to expect. We were the first to get there when it opened for the night and everyone was so friendly. (Actually, we got there like 20 min. before they opened & I'm not gonna lie... it was SO dark & a little sketch that I almost jumped back in the Uber to take us elsewhere. So happy we didn't do that.) Don't stress about what to order/how to order. (We stressed because we were the only people there.) They ask how many hot dogs you want and if you want them served with everything (yes), then they bring them to you. They have a cooler filled with additional toppings (cheese & jalapeños & salsas). As we were finishing our hotdogs, the parking lot filled up and Ubers were dropping off multiple large groups of people clearly getting ready to start their night off with delicious eats. As we were getting into our Uber to leave, there must have been a line of about 30 people. There's a line for a reason, this place has good hot dogs and it's something you should experience.

My first Sonoran hot dog was just...okay.My sister's boyfriend is an Arizona native and when I asked him about any local specialties he mentioned Sonoran hot dogs. Through some Googles and Yelps I found Nogales. My friend and I pulled up around 8PM and the place wasn't too busy. We were able to sit down right away. The guy at the entrance simply asked how many we wanted and then we sat down. The hot dog is indeed wrapped in bacon but I was expecting more. Bacon wrapped around any type of meat is always welcome, but I feel like this was underwhelming. I feel like if the hot dog was fried so that there was a nice satisfying crunch it could be a lot better. The toppings were good and added extra flavors and textures. It was nice that you could add your own cheese and other toppings via a DIY cooler. I didn't hate it, but it definitely could've been better.

Never had a Sonoran Hot Dog until tonight. What a great experience for a middle of the week quick dinner. My wife and I live nearby and pass by the place all the time. This stand has been there for 23 years according to the owner, and is usually pretty busy, (especially on weekends.) Now I know why: the nice couple are friendly and very easy to talk with. Ordering was easy because the menu is simple, and the hotdogs did not disappoint. We ordered 3 to go and a cold Coke. The bun was really fresh, the dog was tasty and the toppings were all delicious, especially the green salsas. Definitely going back for another round soon!

Great hot dogs, very glad to see it's still on the same corner. I first went here about 12 years ago, and it's still just as good as ever.

Always love eating here. Best hotdogs, condiments, and great service. And they are open late! Recommend you try this place out.

This is how a true Sonoran dog is! I love this place and so grateful they're around to give that taste of a real Sonoran dog, like I'm down in Douglas

Amazing delicious fresh hot dogs, what motr can I saymMmm. Excellent service and stuff to tio my hot dog with. I would gladly peacefully relax here in the building again. Ac is always welcome!

Was visiting PHX and have been craving a good Mexican style hotdog. Stumbled upon this place after visiting the bars. Servers were sweet and very attentive. They're set us isn't hard to miss so plz support!

It had been awhile since I'd last been here. It did not disappoint! They do one thing and they do them right. Sonoran dogs!They have a cart and an easy up and folding chairs and tables in a parking lot. I'd have it no other way!
