Nishiki Ramen - Kearny Mesa

Love it. Includes the service, ambiance and food. Food is great and the place is extremely clean!! !

The food and customer service here are all a cut above the rest. My friend and I have become regulars here, frequently enjoying their drinks (house hot/cold sakes & Japanese draft beers) and other food offerings. I highly recommend the Smoke Black Bomb (add the house-made spicy sauce), Akuma, gyoza (their lemon pepper flavored-sauce is unique), and fries (LOL, trust me). I've also purchased their black garlic flavoring and house-made sauce to-go without purchasing ramen to add to my own meals at home - 10/10 recommend doing this hack. Bin, a lead server, continues to inspire me on how to become a better leader. He's genuinely kind, personable, and I can tell he cares about the customer experience. Jeremy has also made our experiences excellent. However, regardless of who you get, the customer service will be great. The ambiance is open, clean, and COOL temperature wise (helpful when you're eating hot ramen lmao). Bottom line - Enjoy ramen? Enjoy catching up with friends over drinks and sides? Enjoy being treated with respect? Do yourself a favor and stop by. This is one of my favorite spots for ramen in the Convoy area. This place gets an EASY 5/5 A+

Still one of my favorite ramen spots in San Diego. Was quickly seated at the bar as it was just me but it seemed like a wait for any party with 4 or more. Got one of my favorites, the Black Smoke Bomb with a side of extra noodles and chicken karaage for an appetizer. My server Jasmine was really nice and made sure to keep checking up on me as I slurped away my ramen. Haha. I've always liked the simple set up here. You can see them making ramen in the back with the almost -open kitchen concept. Always hits the spot. Will always be coming back here.

First time in San Diego, we literally just landed my buddy was shopping at Mitsuwa marketplace. So I met him there and saw Nishiki Ramen. It was calling my name after the flight. Staff were so friendly when we walked in. I started off with Asahi beer and ordered "Akuma" ramen with hard boil egg. Pork belly chashu was juicy and tender, cooked perfectly. The broth had mild spice and so delicious. The server asked if we were from out of town, he made us must visit and eat list. It was awesome that he took the time to write it for us. Nishiki offers a lot of seating and even has bar seating where you can see the kitchen. Parking isn't to bad. It's a pretty big parking lot but they have a lot of stores in the plaza. Great ramen place.

Came here for my birthday lunch with my coworkers and I was pretty disappointed by this location. I've only been to the hillcrest location and the quality of food here did not live up to it. We started with edamame and the Russian Roulette Takoyaki. The edamame was fine, kinda impossible to mess up edamame. The takoyaki was really mushy and wet compared to takoyaki I've had in the past. I wasn't a big fan of it, but I did enjoy the Japanese Umami Bonito Flakes that were on top. For my lunch, I got my go-to order which is the Smoke Bomb Black w/Egg with Death Sauce. Firstly, I didn't taste any garlic in this and it wasn't as black as I've had it in the past. The noodles were fine, but the amount was inconsistent between everyone at the table. The meat and veggies were good. However, the death sauce was awful! This is supposed to make me suffer! I barely felt anything just a slight cough when a chili flake would get stuck in my throat. Nothing like the hillcrest location one where I can't even finish the whole container.

Been disappointed in most Ramen places in San Diego. This one is by far the best I've had. I ordered both the Akuma and the Gyokai Tonkotsu. Ordered it for takeout. So didn't really get to capture the ambiance or atmosphere of the place. It didn't look like they put a lot into decorating the place. The only interaction I had with the staff was when I picked up and it wasn't entirely friendly. He seemed more interested in continuing to chat with the girl at the table close to him. He barely looked at me as he handed me my plastic bag of food. The Akuma was superb. It was spicy (and I love spice). It was rich and dense with flavors. I only got half way and I felt full. I usually power through meals when I'm full but it was so good and filling that I saved some for my lunch the next day. I'd highly recommend people get this dish. The Gyokai Tonkotsu was the complete opposite unfortunately. This tasted way too basic for me and unfortunately resembled some of the other ramen places I've had in San Diego. Aka nothing memorable. I would say though that it had a lot of meat in it. Which as a meat lover, was nice to have. The Akuma gets 5 stars from me but everything else was 3 stars. Perhaps dining in would change my mind and give it a higher rating and I do expect to come back one day to do just that.

Cozy and cute ramen spot with a modern ambience. Our server is really nice and even recommended local places for us to visit. I got the Notorious GGG which was heavy on the garlic, but wonderfully flavorful. The Notorious GGG is definitely for the garlic lover.

Food was excellent, friend and I ordered an akuma and miso ramen. Service was great, along with the music and overall atmosphere.

Nishiki is pretty much the only ramen spot I go to. Their food is consistently great. The service is awesome, and the atmosphere is fun.

Food always delivers. Our server, Jeremy, was so kind and patient with us--we took a while to order hahaha.
