Nirvana The Taste of India

The lunch deal here is not to be missed. For just over $15 it is enough food to feed me for two meals. Two small entrées, rice, naan, and a dessert. I got lunch here whenever I forgot to pack my lunch at work during the summer.

Tried Nirvana for the first time with my boyfriend this evening! Sat outside but inside of restaurant was really pretty and seemed to have decent ambiance. Started off with a round of cocktails (I believe I ordered the masala chai punch) and they were only $13 a pop which is pretty reasonable for Cambridge. Since it was just us, we ordered the Royal dinner for two which is $60 and it included appetizer(s), naan+entrees, and two little desserts! Honestly one of the best bang for your buck meals I've found so far in Cambridge, we both left full and still had some leftovers to take home. Don't know the name of the two little tart looking things but they were yummy! The soup was very tumeric-y and flavorful and the meat somasoas were huge! This plus three entree mains, naan, and rice was more than enough to eat! This was a fun way to try a variety of dishes and getting an "introduction" to the restaurant.Most everything we had was absolutely delicious and flavorful, and food came out fast! The tandoori chicken was a little overcooked but other than that everything was pretty much perfect. Very much enjoyed my first dining experience here and will definitely be back!

Good food and good service. We had them cater a brunch also, they were on time and served quality food. Personally served some of the elderly individuals!

Excellent food and service! Delicious butter chicken and drinks! I was there last night and Harvard was having a party there. I was sitting near the window drinking a margarita and eating butter chicken. Yum! The lady manager asked me how was everything and she was nice and polite. I love the food and service. Highly recommended.

By far, my favorite Indian restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. The mulligatawny soup, mutter paneer, and naan are all great. The korma is so flavorful, you can't go wrong with either the lamb, chicken, or shrimp. Every meal is consistently good. The service is great, and the ambience is pleasant. A definite gem.

I had such a good experience here! I was seated immediately, and from there the service remained excellent. I wasn't sure what to order, but the server gave me some recommendations after asking my preferences. I went with the Goat Biryani. The flavor was amazing, but beware if you ask for spice because they will give it to you. I was sweating but really enjoyed the meal. I plan on going back to Cambridge this summer and will definitely eat here again.

I love this place. They have a big selection for people who like the basics and for people who want more than just butter chicken and tikka masala. They also have a good wine selection. The only thing I don't recommend is the chocolate cake- it tasted like bad/stale grocery store cake.

Very good food and would have given 4 stars except they goofed up twice on my order that was delivered with items missing or with wrong items. They would not acknowledge they got it wrong - bad customer service as it made a bad situation worse. Just make sure that you REPEAT the order as they have a young person taking orders - probably a PT family member working on weekends who is not professional. They need better customer service training on how to mollify an irate customer!

We moved further away from Nirvana and have been searching for an Indian resturant closer to us. Nothing has met the quality of food Nirvana offers. We were so spoiled by Nirvana. They places we have tried are too much like a fast food quality of Indian food or the spices are just "off". Over the years I have enjoyed Nirvana's amazing vegan options - tofu masala, tofu saag, the okra, the vegan apps, the tasty coconut chutney that comes with the dosa. My partner loves the sizzling tandoori and lamb dishes. Just wanted to come and drop some love for Nirvana.
