Ninebark

I've been to Ninebark twice recently and I'm loving it. Excellent food, higher than average quality and a more imaginative menu than most American restaurants.As for the service, the staff is super friendly, competent, and aims to please.Best of all might be the fact that this is a great location where parking is much easier than in the rest of Newton.

I just moved to Boston from the SF Bay Area and a friend recommended I come here when I mentioned I was looking for burgers/American food but maybe a little more upscale/less divey (ie. quality, variety but still approachable and decently affordable if you know what I mean lol). I had the burger but was really tempted by the salmon, the fancy pizzas (big fan of fig, brie, pear etc on a flatbread), and the pear/brie arugula salad - so that'll be next time. Had the white wine/Pinot grigio. The breakdown:Atmosphere - modern, hip casual, socialFood - good quality, good variety for options and flavors (can find something for everyone be it fish vs red meat vs chicken vs vegetarian, lighter fare vs maybe more filling dishes). Drink - same deal, good mixture of beer, wine, cocktails. (Also I'm normally very prone to cluster headaches from wine so it's kind of like playing Russian roulette every time but my Pinot grigio didn't cause any issues so I recommend that for my fellow headache sufferers lol)Service - wonderful (I'd also like to thank the patron who found my phone in the bathroom and returned it to the bartender/server! Good to know it's a safe/trustworthy town!)Price: I think it fit the bill perfectly for the quality of the food, service, venue and location.Overall: Great fit for what I was looking for and left feeling happy and satisfied. Will return for that pizza though - and maybe more wine

Came here on a Thursday early with my family and we were seated promptly. Their soft open just started last night, so we were excited to try their menu. Service with Mateos was excellent, because he checked in on us and was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions. My child's chicken tenders came out a little overdone, but he brought it to the cook's attention and her plate was fixed immediately. I recommend their House Cured Salmon and the Magic Wand (color changing cocktail). The dressing for the Caesar is made upon ordering and the portion was generous. My husband enjoyed his Steak Frites with a side of garden salad. The ambience is great for a date night or to bring your family since they have a kid's menu. However, their song choice could use some improvement. We heard some lewd words playing overhead while we were eating, so I felt like I was at a club instead of a restaurant.

Best burger! So many choices in this West Newton Delight. Friendly, happy place for a small bite or a special indulgence. We've been there a few times and we're always happy! Newton needed some new, wonderful places to dine deliciously and easily!

Stopped in on an autumn evening for a late weekday dinner. Really nice space. Casual but stylish design. Small bar crowd watching sports, couples eating at tables in the back. Delicious salad and burger. Will be back when we are in the neighborhood.

Beautiful interior, delicious food, conscientious service - I think Ninebark 's opening is a success! Our server was Josh and he was helpful and friendly. The food came out quickly and was delicious! I typically do not order veggie burgers at restaurants because they are always the same...but something about this description begged me to try it. I'm so glad! It might have been the best veggie burger I've ever had at a restaurant. The only small tip for the owners would be the lighting during the day... I think it needs to be a bit brighter inside. But seriously, I recommend this place for sure!

New spot in town I was eager to check out. Got a burger to go and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly and they were really nice when I came to get it, offering me water, etc. definitely will be back for another meal soon.

My partner and I were greeted at the door, we mentioned to the host that we would sit at the bar. Once we sat at the bar we were greeting by the bar tender who was discussing what appeared to be a work schedule with an employee. We waited and waited for the bartender to give us menus which never happened. After five minutes, we got up and walked out. Not one employee inquired, there were only 4 other people at the bar. Isn't customer service the 1st priority for an establishment?

Food and drinks were excellent. Shrimp tacos were best ever. Calamari was also excellent and portion was quite generous.

We dined at Ninebark last week and had a wonderful experience! The ambience is great and the noise level was lovely enough to be fun and also conducive to conversation. Roberto, our server, was terrific--he made excellent suggestions and was so friendly and engaging. We felt so welcome.We all really enjoyed our food choices--we had the fig and pig pizza, salads, nachos (don't miss those) and possibly the best hazelnut chocolate brownie ever!Will definitely return!
