I'm a huge fan of Asian food and stumbled upon this spot via Yelp. I love the decor and the feel walking in. It was clean and tidy. Service was great, the server was so helpful and attentive. She knew we ordered the braised beef noodle soup and automatically brought us 2 extra bowls. You order via the QR code on the table which helped get our order out very promptly. Everything was so delicious. The numbing spice that Szechuan peppers give, it's a different kind of yummy. Pig ears were so flavorful with just enough crunch. The only thing that was not my flavor was how soft the noodles were. I'm more of a fan of a firm noodle texture. Overall, another delicious food experience. Oooohh, location is nice and parking is plenty. That's important to mention, for me anyway. AND it's surrounded by other spots for great desserts because I know I'm always craving something sweet after my meal.

TLDR:Food: 8/10 TastyService: 8/10 Attentive but interestingAmbiance 8/10 Traditional and cleanThis was our first visit to Nine Way which has been in the area for about half a year (I asked a staff member). The ambiance is casual and they have a TV playing talk shows and the like in mandarin with subtitles. It felt very much like what you would experience in a traditional noodle house. The online ordering was initially very weird for me as a first time visitor but I see the appeal from a staffing perspective. There is a QR code that takes you to a nice visual menu with clear pricing online. They do have a paper menu posted outside and paper menus to order from but there are no pictures on the old school ordering menu.Chuck was very knowledgeable about all the items and the preparation and was more than willing to accommodate questions because of my shellfish allergy. The menu helpfully explained about the numbing sensation in a few of the dishes we ordered which, if you haven't eaten Szechuan peppercorns before, can be alarming (we were familiar with the numbing sensation but it was thoughtful to have it on the menu). The food was all quite good, our favorite was a tie between the cucumber salad and the spicy & sour dumpling soup. Everything we ordered came out fresh and delicious. There is a quality you can taste when everything is made in house and it's clear that they take great pride in the food they share with their patrons. If you are in the area, then don't wait, take in the casual noodle house ambiance, the spicy peppery goodness, the warm service and the futuristic online ordering. It's a fun experience and one well worth sharing with friends or family!

We decided to head here because we wanted some dinner! This was my first time trying and it wasn't a disappointment. The parking here could be difficult depending on the time of day or week, so just be prepared for that. Upon walking in, we're greeted and sat down right away. The restaurant was clean, and they were playing some calming music! The menu is quite small compared to a lot of dim sum places but everything in there is pretty good. I did enjoy everything on there, mostly the braised pork belly! The clear broth wonton soup was my favorite! We liked the scallion pancake so much we ordered it twice. The server was amazing, she was so nice! I'd come back here again 100%!

You know it's authentic when the restaurants filled with Chinese customers! Service was great, they were attentive and went out of their way to explain our dish to us. I got the Ninewa Noodles this time and it was so flavorful and the noodles were perfect!! I loved the numbing peppers, cilantro and all the blend of spices and sauces. I wanted more! I wish the mala for dinner had a combo option. It was basically a la carte where there's a base price and you have to pay for toppings in addition to it. I'll have to come here during lunch if I want mala.

Soft opening with limited menu. Scan QR code on the table to order. Lunch special is a decent value. The inside is the same as the previous restaurant, on the dark side. I think more lighting would help the ambience. Overall I'd rate the food as 3.5 stars. Nothing stood out. Most dishes lack flavor: -Pig Ear (cold dish) - I like how it's thinly sliced. It can use some more garlic, spices and salt. -Noodle with Ground Pork & Peas - not too spicy, on the sweeter side. I was told it had a sesame paste sauce but couldn't taste it.-Spicy Mao Cai Lunch Special - comes with a soft drink and rice. The main dish contains meat of choice (we went with lamb), a couple pieces of spam and fish balls, bean curds, and vegetables like potato, daikon, lotus root and napa cabbage. I'm not impressed by this because it's the same as hot pot one can put together easily at home. I was told they will introduce more dishes when they have the grand opening.

We wandered in on a Sunday night. It looked pretty busy, so we thought it was a good sign. The restaurant has booths lining both sides, with a few tables down the middle. Each table had a QR code with menu, but was also the method to order. There was a single TV above playing poker. The vibe was a cafeteria. To me, even the silverware felt cafeteria-ish. The staff was nice enough, but not necessarily welcoming. We ordered a few items, cucumber salad, Sichuanese style homemade dumplings and Chicken with Yacai noodle. The cucumber salad was okay, not the best I've had. The dumplings were good, pretty spicy and we ordered less spice. The chicken was a good portion of noodles, not alot of chicken. We didn't taste any depth of flavor, it was not what we were expecting. We spent a good chunk and kind of left hungry. This is not the place for me.

Better than din tai fung. I'm so glad federal way has a good noodle/dumpling spot with sichuan flavors. Once DTF removed the pickled mustard green noodle soup I knew it was time to move on, and Nine Way has all my favorites.Mung bean jelly, braised beef noodle, pickled mustard green noodle, and their cucumbers are so fresh. But the pig ear dish was our favorite. The texture was perfectly crunchy.Took my mom here for a little pre-Mother's Day lunch with the family and we had a great time. Will definitely be a regular.

I have eaten here 2 times. It is not the typical American Chinese food it is so much better. Can't remember my first order but the second was Mushroom soup. The flavors are unbelievable and it's like they melt in your mouth.
