Delicious new Japanese spot! NEXTOWA is serving delicious, classic, straight forward Japanese fair. Tonight I had a solo Valentine's Day and felt lucky to have their incredible sashimi cuts to keep me company. The space is intimate which gives you a chance to see the action for yourself. The service was prompt and very friendly (even for a takeout order). Their online ordering system was super easy too. Today I tried the standard sashimi set which was the star. Their miso soup was so lovely and had the softest vegetables in it to make it feel even more filling. Even had a slight tang to it that I loved! The appetizers today (they are a small portion that rotates) was potato salad and stewed mushrooms. I didn't see it displayed on the website when I did the online order which makes sense given how it rotates but a heads up for anyone who wants more transparency. I loved both of them but the stewed mushrooms were especially lovely. The sashimi cuts were perfect - absolutely perfect. So delicate and soft. I love that they included an ice pack to keep it all perfect cold on the way home. They also separated my warm order and cold food into different to go bags which was greatly appreciated. I also did an ala cart order of the korubuta pork which id like to try again because this didn't have that "melting" texture another reviewed described. Flavor was spot on but it was chewier than I expected. They also offer complimentary tea when dining in and kindly offered me some while I waited for takeout (even though I got there too early!).Overall this is a spot that shines for their quality, attention to detail and straightforward use of traditional Japanese ingredients. I loved it - welcome to Redmond! (Note, the old business Asiana Bistro's sign still hangs so don't get confused while we wait on their sign).

We recently tried this spot for a early lunch. Will be coming back because of the quality and genuine customer service, along with the very detailed food flavor profile and freshness. We appreciated the attentive staff, and are excited for the next-door area to open. It looks like they have a secondary lounge. That will be a little bit more bougie, but still belongs to them opening up!Will be bringing some friends here in the future hopefully. Only suggestion is a slight size increase on the "appetizers of the day" Parking is ample, little bit hidden of a spot, since it is on the backside of some of the Whole Foods market shops, but with great reviews like the one I see as of now I imagine they will grow in popularity

Very very delicious with a limited daily menu. Sashimi was very fresh, sides were delicious, tempura was super crispy, and miso soup had yummy vegetables

Discovered this little casual Japanese restaurant and finally tried it tonight. We have been going to I Love Sushi in Bellevue for 20 years, so we know the brand and what to expect. The quality of fish used here is the same, which is very good. Did not have anything that was not good, everything was fresh and tasty. Good and well prepared rice and miso soup comes with the set as well. Only complaints are the limited sake list, just one cheap sake and 2 that were way overpriced, and the hugely overpriced salad. The salad was really tiny with no toppings and was $5. We will go back but will avoid the overpriced sides.

I almost didn't want to review this place because I want to keep it a hidden gem.Located in a strip mall in Redmond. They specialize in sashimi sets and rice bowls. I got the basic sashimi set ($25). The sashimi was buttery and high quality, and the side dishes (rotated out) were unique and delicious too. Love the self-serve tea and water :)

Selection of fish in the premium sashimi was good.It took some time for service, but was good when we did get seated. The self service station had a variety of teas to choose from.Ambience was good, it felt cozy and welcoming.Would recommend.

Food quality is pretty good; just that the sashimi slices are tiny. Probably just bigger than my pinkie finger.Way too expensive for sitting in a former teriyaki place (the old business signage is still there!).Ambiance is a zero for a 100$ meal. Like literally worse than eating in a fast food joint. The workflow seems awkward too. I really dislike the ordering at the door and paying tips before even getting the minimal resemblance of a good service. Oh well

I ordered the Standard Sashimi Set. I was impressed with the quality of food. Every thing was so fresh. Not only do you get the sashimi you also get a set that includes rice, miso soup, and 2 side dishes. You can't get this at a regular Sushi house for the price we paid. 25.00Thank you so much we will be back!!!

Found this new restaurant on Yelp that is a Sister company of I love sushi at lake bellevue. Food was good and priced at $25 for a set with sashimi slices, miso soup, tempura, 2 side dishes and rice (u can choose small/ regular / more rice). Not a full service restaurant as we had to order from the counter upfront with payment and pour our own tea / water. They did clear the table for us when we were done with the meal.

Ambience is so-so: Just a storefront in a shopping mall with a few tables. But the quality and flavor of the sushi are far better than expected; maybe the best in Redmond. I suspect they share sushi sourcing with the high-end "OWA" sushi restaurant next door.
