Had an amazing meal here! Went with some friends on a Friday night, and it was almost fully packed, so keep that in mind. On to the food! I had to get the Hainan Chicken, and it was SO GOOD! So tender, so flavorful! Man, it was so delicious, it really tasted on par with something you'd get in Asia! As far as sides go, I got the tripe, and it was yummy as well! I'm glad the friends I went with love tripe as well, because I know it's a bit of an acquired taste and texture. Service was good, and it was pretty quick as well. I'll definitely be back soon!

This is a small restaurant right next to Ranch 99. We buy takeout here often and love the Hainan chicken rice. It comes with quarter chicken, chicken rice, side dish (cucumber, black fungus, quail eggs), and soup for around $16. The chicken is so flavorful and the texture is good -- my mother-in-law is part Hainanese and she loves it, which is saying something. Everyone I've bought takeout for is impressed with the chicken!I took a star away for it basically being a hole-in-the-wall store, and I haven't tried many other things. It's definitely worth a visit if you like chicken.

I kept thinking, 'This is really good!' I came in by myself and ordered the Hainan Chicken, of course. I'm not an expert, I just know I like Hainan Chicken :) First of all, what a nice looking dish! I've never had a salad with woodear mushrooms and cucumbers so that was a delicious surprise. The rice and the ginger scallion sauce were both solid. The chicken - sooo tender, juicy, flavorful. The chicken skin- wonderful texture. (The chicken is served in chopped slices so just be careful eating around the chicken bone.)It's a nice little restaurant with very friendly service. Tons of parking but it can be busy in the parking lot since it's next to 99 Ranch. Unfortunately, I live about 45 minutes away, so I'll have to come by whenever I'm in town.

Despite "chicken" being in the restaurant name, we like to come here for the duck. A half duck and veggies with meatballs in soup is the right amount for two people and a toddler to share. What I like about the duck is that it's lighter than the roast duck you get at the market, less fatty, and topped with a savory sauce (reminds me of how chicken rice is served in Malaysia/Singapore, but it's duck). The drinks are the same as you would order at a Cantonese cafe, but cheaper. We like the hot honey lemon drink. As someone else noted, the Hainan chicken is served differently than the Malaysian/Singaporean style. That is partially why we gravitate towards the duck, although trying variations of the same dish does allow us to appreciate the diaspora of the region.

Just found this place next door to ranch 99. Service is pretty fast and the food taste pretty good. Got the laksa bowl of noodles and it wasn't too hot. More coconut milk than anything but it was pretty good. Gonna try their signature haianese chicken and beef curry next. Ambiance is clean and organized. Gonna be coming down to Dublin more often now.

Had high expectations for Hainan chicken at a hainan chicken restaurant. First off, service was excellent. Servers were nice and attentive. We ordered: Hainan chicken: the test for any chicken cooked to perfection is probably in the outcome of the white meat. Sad to say, it was dry and bit chewy. Not tender nor flavorful (or salted enough). The skin was nice and bouncy though. Side soup: the chicken came with a side of soup. I was hoping it would be chicken broth from the chicken or a derivative of chicken. It wasn't. It was watered down broth with lots of white pepper. Fried fish: very crispy, good portion. Excellent Fried chicken cartilage: also be try crispy and good. Maybe I had that one chicken was a tad bit overcooked. I was hoping for a better experience.

We love getting take out from yummy Hainan chicken when we don't feel like cooking! We usually get a whole chicken. 3 Chicken Flavor Rice and this time they gave us side dishes on the house! The chicken is not the tender kind of chicken but rather it's chewy which is not too easy to find here and we love it!The chicken flavor rice is very flavorful and not too oily. It's just perfect. They also provide the green onion/ginger mixture for the chicken and rice. It's very convenient to get take out. Usually takes less than 15 min. We would go to shop at ranch 99 next door while waiting! The restaurant is not big and we have yet to dine in. We would definitely try out other dishes next time.

3.5/5 starsOverview: Fast and friendly service, affordable prices, mixed reviews on food----I went with 3 other people and we all ordered something different, 2 of us ordered noodle dishes and the other 2 ordered rice dishes with came with soup broths. The soup broths were all light in flavor, personally we all wanted more flavor or salt. Here was our rankings:K6 Chiu Chow Marinated Duck Noodle Soup ($16.95):- 6/10- Broth was too light in flavor- But the duck was tasty and flavorful - Comes with a vinegar, garlic dipping sauceK8 Slice Beef Laksa Fish Noodle Soup ($16.95)- 6.5/10- The soup broth was light and coconuty- Not that much flavor- Noodles were made of fish, interesting texture not typical noodlesK9 Signature Hainan Chicken Over Rice ($15.50)- 8/10- The chicken and ginger scallion was the most flavorful of the dish- Dish also had cucumber salad with wood ear mushrooms, bean curd skin, 2 quail eggs, and peanuts on the side- Rice had a light chicken flavor - Comes with a bowl of the same broth as the regular noodle soup dishes K10 Chiu Chow Marinated Duck Over Rice ($15.50)- 8/10- Duck and it's sauce is very good and flavorful- Dish also had cucumber salad with wood ear mushrooms, bean curd skin, and 2 quail eggs- Comes with a vinegar, garlic dipping sauce- Comes with a bowl of the same broth as the regular noodle soup dishes ----Service: - Friendly, attentive, and quick- Refilled our waters multiple times- Made sure to ask if I had any peanut allergies bc the Hainan chicken comes with a side of peanuts ----Ambiance: - Came on a Saturday a little before 5pm and there was no wait - Quiet with plenty of seating- There was no music playing so it a easy to hear each other talk - Plenty of parking ----Notes:- They don't take American Express- Pros: affordable prices, good service- Cons: some items are not flavorful - I'd recommend ordering just the meat if you want the most flavor and bang for your buck!Overall: Good service, affordable meal, but the food left us wanting more flavor

Parking: easy and plenty since this restaurant is located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch. No problem.Service: top notch. The waitress that helped us was super friendly and even chatted with us. When we placed our order for the Signature Hainan Chicken Over Rice, she even checked with us to make sure none of us were allergic to peanuts. Amazing service.Ambiance: I loved the cozy and laid-back vibe from this restaurant.Food:K1 Special Laksa Fish Noodle Soup ($15.50 as of Sept 2024) - it's a bowl of savory coconut soup with Braised Pork, Beef Balls, Prawns, Quail Eggs & Fried ToFu. But the twist here is it doesn't come with regular egg noodles, but instead they use "noodles" made out of fish - essentially they're stands of fish cake! Super interesting and unique! I loved it! I thought this dish would also be perfect for those who watch their carbs intake.K9 Signature Hainan Chicken Over Rice ($14.95 as of Sept 2024) - the plate came super wholesome. You got the Hainan chicken rice, the Hainan chicken itself, and a side of Smashed Cucumber Wood Ear Mushroom and Bean Curd Salad. First of all, the salad was quite amazing - it was refreshing, and the cucumber and the wood ear mushroom added a nice texture to it. But of course, the highlight was the Hainan chicken itself - it was tender, juicy, and I loved the shiny and glistening skin. It was yummy! But I personally hated how they chopped it right in the middle of the bones, resulting some unpleasant shards of chicken bones in my mouth...Overall, the food was good, and I would go back again to try their other dishes.

Yummy Hainan Chicken is located next to the Dublin 99 Ranch. It is owned by the same chef who founded Special Noodle Soup in Cupertino and Special Hainan Chicken in San Leandro.I met my recently retired buddy The Shermanator here for lunch on 02/12/2024. It was great catching up with him since he moved to the East Coast some time ago. He was particularly excited about eating here because the area he lives in lacks good Chinese food. We walked in at around 11:30am and it was moderately busy. The staff quickly greeted us, and we were seated at a table near the back. The interior was clean and bright. There was a TV near the entrance showing the 2024 Spring Festival Gala of China. Their menu featured a wide array of appetizers and rice/noodle dishes. I ended up getting the Curry Brisket and Tendon Over Rice and The Shermanator opted for the Signature Hainan Chicken Noodle Soup. We also got an order of Curry Pork Skin and Fish Balls to share.Everything arrived all at once. Curry Pork Skin and Fish Balls is a classic Hong Kong street snack and what we got was pretty authentic. They added a little bit of their homemade chili oil to the curry sauce, which gave it a nice little kick. The fish balls and pork skin were both decent quality wise. The Curry Brisket and Tendon Over Rice was excellent. Big chunks of brisket and tendon were very tasty and tender. The Signature Hainan Chicken Noodle Soup looked really good. The Shermanator seemed to have enjoyed it. Just a heads-up - Hainan chicken here is more like Wenchang chicken (文昌雞) and not the Southeast Asian style found in Singapore and Malaysia. The staff was very friendly, and the service was good. With T/T, the meal was a little over $50. Not bad for authentic Chinese food. I will be back. 4 solid stars.BONUS MATERIAL:- Ample parking on site.- Cash and major credit cards accepted.
