3.31.2022For lunch today, I partook in a poke bowl from the Yoshi food truck at 901 Page. My bowl consisted of a sushi rice/mixed greens base, ahi tuna, tomatoes, edamame, corn and imitation crab. Topped with spicy mayo and unagi sauce. I would give this an 8 out of 10 stars. I would have liked to see some additional toppings being offered like crispy onions, mango, masago etc. But not bad and would recommend if you are in the mood for raw fish.

I got to try Yoshi'a Food Truck at the Fremont Street Eats. It's actually pretty good and reasonably priced!I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bento Box and for $15, you get a scoop of rice, beef Bulgogi, salad, 4 pieces of sushi, and two potstickers! Not bad at all! For the price, it's pretty good and I would order them again. The only thing was the rice was kinda hard, not as soft as I would have liked, but still good. Also, they don't have any bags here.Give them a try, I liked it! :)

Yummy delicious fresh sushi. My partner and I came here for the Fremont food truck Matthew event at the Alameda County library. I was craving sushi all day and wanted to just satisfy my craving so I ordered a spicy tuna roll. I finish this and immediately ordered another along with their spring rolls. You can tell they purchased their fresh fish and take pride in their food.

Review is just for the California roll I ordered for my son. I did not try any of their poke bowls or sushi rolls. For about $6 you get 8 pieces which were on the smaller side. There was one person ahead of me when I stood in line so the ordering process was quick. They accept Apple pay and you tap through the glass window of the truck. However, it still prints out a receipt for you to sign and to write in an optional tip.The wait was a bit longer than I'd expect though. I am assuming it was freshly made as the food took about 10 minutes from the time I ordered til the time my number was called.

I have only tried their California roll here. It is pretty decent. My food was ready in a few minutes each time I ordered here. They are a regular at Fremont Street Eats Friday evening/nights. (Bonus: I love their name, Yoshi is my favorite)

Poke competition is tough in this city! What used to be a rare treat during a Hawaiian vacation is seemingly as prevalent downtown as a burrito. To really stand out in the Poke race, you need to either (i) have a unique and amazing taste, (ii) offer a bazillion customization options or (iii) be a really good value in terms of raw fish for the price. Unfortunately, this food truck offers predetermined bowl configurations that are a bit bland and a little skimpy on the fish.Gyoza: The whole dumpling is deep fried, so it's crispy all over. I prefer the more traditional pan seared gyoza approach where half is soft and steamed while the other half is crispy.Miso Soup: Came for free with the poke bowl. Tasted fine, but was lukewarm, bordering on getting cold.Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl w/ Ponzu Sauce & Kimchi Sauce: Most notable was the small portion of fish. Especially compared to the plethora of poke counters around town priced similarly and serving more fish. Plus the mix-ins were a little weird like whole little tomatoes and canned pineapple. Also, they went pretty light on the sauce so it seemed a bit bland.

I spotted this food truck along with a couple of other food trucks near Menlo Park Center today. My ahi tuna poke bowl has a generous portion size. Their default combination of poke bowl ingredients is well-balanced in flavor and texture (cherry tomatoes, cucumber, edamame, sweet corn, imitation crab, pickled ginger and seaweed salad), very impressive. The tuna is fresh and not icy, exceeding my expectation from a food truck! They have a typical bay area pricing and accept cards/mobile payments. Delightful food truck experience!

A pretty good food truck experience. Most of the other ones at the event I went to were offering flashier takes on lesser known dishes, but since the novelty of poke has more or less worn off, Yoshi felt like more of a tried and true option.I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento since it seemed like a good deal for the variety - chicken, rice, salad, gyoza, and a sushi roll, plus the option to add miso soup for just $.50, which was a great choice on a cold night by the bay. While not terribly distinct from any other teriyaki joint, each element tasted good, and portions were large enough to leave me satisfied, which is often a frustration with food truck ordering. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my substation request, and our food came out fast. This took away a lot of the stress and waiting from an event like this and made for a pleasant night overall!

Chicken Katsu is awesome! Really enjoy it and it's filling. Usually can not finish in one sitting so I save the rest for later. Excellent ---------Salmon Avocado Roll is good! You get 8 in each order so I order two and gobble them down with wasabi and soy sauce mix. Yums
