The BEST banh cuon in the Bay. If you're looking for banh cuon, this is it right here at Wing Wah. The rolls have the perfect texture, soft, filled with pork and wood ear mushroom. The outer skin is thin but they are not falling apart. Paired with the fish sauce they are sooo good!! An order comes with 10 rolls, so pretty great portion size.Their pho ga is also so delicious and comforting. We got the half chicken ($16) along with a large size ho fun ($8.50) for pick up and it still held up really well at home. The pick up order was nicely packaged with all bean sprouts, romaine lettuce, and herbs. The chicken is full of flavor, juicy, and the ginger scallion sauce is perfect. I love the thin ho fun noodles, they are fresh and soft and tender. If you're in area or just looking for a good bowl of noodles, definitely come to Wing Wah!

Amazing menu with timelessly delicious flavors. The pureed ginger dipping sauce is a rare and delicious addition that really elevates the taste of the lean chicken breast. Ambiance is cozy and tables and chairs are homey and not luxurious by any means. Still the best pho ga anywhere!

Decided to try Wing Wah after I found out my usual Pho Ga spot is temporarily closed. I'm so glad I tried them out! Not sure if it's because of the other Pho Ga spot's closure but, I did have to wait about 15 minutes on a Saturday around 1pm. Not a bad wait at all though, and people come and go pretty quickly so if I came like 20 minutes later, I probably wouldn't have had to wait at all. I love that they have Banh Cuon here. It's one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. It's really good, soft and fresh here, but a little too much rice paper for me. I'd still get it every time I come though because it's the best I've had in East Bay so far! As for the Pho Ga, the noodles and broth were so delicious. I could drink that broth all day every day - good for the soul. I couldn't finish my huge bowl, but I finished all the soup for lunch the next day. By the way, definitely spend the extra dollar to get the large - it is so worth it! Two meals for $15 is such a steal in today's economy - and for such tasty and healing food too! The only downside was the bone-in chicken was a little on the tougher side. I'd probably try the shredded chicken version next time to see if it's softer. I added chicken gizzards too and surprisingly they were actually so soft! Definitely better than any other Pho Ga gizzards I've had.All in all, I'm glad I got to try Wing Wah and I'll be back for sure, especially since Winter is upon us. Oh one other thing worth mentioning is this is the first place I've seen have lettuce as a mix-in for the pho - usually it's just bean sprouts? I personally will ask them to pass on the lettuce next time because boiled romaine isn't exactly my favorite way to have romaine, but the bean sprouts are delish.

This is the best place to get banh cuon in the bay. They are not skimpy with the filling and it's seasoned well. Add the fish sauce and perfection We also usually get the full chicken. It comes with the ginger scallion sauce which just takes it to the next level. Great pricing. Street parking so we usually call ahead and do pick up. Avoid lunch hours if you can cuz they get busyyyy.

TL;DR: very good value and very tasty food, street is kinda ghetto but parking is not difficultSaw really good reviews on Yelp for this place so we decided to check it out so we could get both Vietnamese style Hainan chicken rice AND banh cuon! I never say no to banh cuon when I see it in the menu.Service was decent and the food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was quite crowded. Lots of old people so you know it's legit. Restaurant is old but well maintained.Banh cuon: one of the best I've had in the east bay - the rolls were well put together and structurally sound. Filled with a generous amount of ground pork and mushrooms, and went deliciously with the fish sauce. Yum!Hainan chicken rice: there were two types of chicken rice on the menu and I didn't really know what the difference is. The chicken was very flavorful, and tasted like free range chicken that you get in southeast Asia. The rice was also quite tasty but the soup was a bit of a letdown. The ginger scallion sauce they served it with was fire. Every table in the restaurant had at least one plate of this chicken rice or just a plate of chicken so you know it's a must order.Chicken pho / pho ga: the soup in this was pretty flavorful, better than the soup served with the rice. It used the same chicken so was delicious, and the veggie plate they served alongside was pretty generous.Everything was a decent price, and very good value. I would definitely go back for the banh cuon

Chicken Gizzards, Pho Ga and Banh Coun are a must order at this restaurant. I've only been here a handful of times and these dishes were so yummy every visit. I tried the Bun Rieu recent visit and was very satisfied. Banh Coun is probably what everyone raves about and the dish is really good indeed. Takeaway Banh Coun is just as good but should be consumed hot and fresh ASAP.Service at this restaurant is very basic but very nice and generous, especially if you are packing food to go and requesting for extra sauces:) Highly recommended and will be coming back!

Came in on a Friday afternoon, not too many customers. Service was prompt, which was great considering she was the same person serving the cooked food out. Interior was nothing fancy, typical small kinda hole in the wall Asian spot. Complimentary hot tea & I ordered the chicken noodle soup with ho fun noods, added gizzards for additional $2 I think. Came with a side of the ginger scallion, lemon, & blanched bean sprouts. Soup was good, tiny bit salty. Lots of noodles! Decent amount of chicken & it was super moist. Lots of bones pieces tho, I usually like the meaty breast pieces with this chicken. Gizzards tasted a little more gamey than I'm used to: $16 total, guess that's expected nowadays. I'd give it a 3.75/4 outta 5. Give it a try if you're in the area!

Food was very tasty. Came here for the Banh cuon and it did not disappoint. Flavor on point. Had the bun bo hue, they asked if it was okay if it was spicy and we said yes. It was not spicy at all but maybe because I was with my husband who happens to be white and they also brought out forks. Can't blame them for trying to cater to folks but we definitely put all the jalapenos into the bowl. Was seated and served very quickly. Lots of street parking and everyone was friendly.

Full transparency I've known the owner since I was in HS. She is the nicest! As soon as we came in, we told them how many people and they brought us hot tea. Oh yes! That's good. :-) My dad and I came for banh cuon and bun rieu. Wow, we were both slurping up the soup because it was light, clear and delicious. The banh cuon is also yummy - they are tightly rolled and filled with minced stuffing. The best part is the nuoc mam is on point. She serves it with lots of chopped chilis. The prices were affordable. Without tip, it was $24 for dad and me.
