I live like super close and I haven't been here a while so decided to walk and try them out again with my little sister. The quality is so so and probably not worth the quality. Maybe if you live nearby you can come here once in a while but I really can't imagine anyone driving here explicitly to eat at this place.Taste: 2/5. It feels painfully bad to eat this. Probably instant noodles at home is better.Ambiance: 5/5. They have nice decor at least!Service: 5/5. Service is pretty self serve. You order at the front then they call your name and you go up yourself to pick it up, then find any seat. You also clean up after yourself when you're done eating. There are plenty of napkins and water cups around. The ramen comes out fast though which is great.

Uniqueness: Now it's a cook your own instant ramen?Wait Time: [x][x][x][ ][ ]Food Quality: [x][x][ ][ ][ ]Service: [x][x][x][ ][ ]Setting: [x][x][ ][ ][ ] Cost: [x][x][x][ ][ ]Recommendation? Unfortunately, probably will just consider going to the market and purchasing my own instant ramen.Haven't gotten a chance to write a review here and with the recent change to Ramenlab, I feel like this place has slowly dwindling away from what it tried to be--From being a good & cheap ramen spot in the Southbay but now just a mediocre priced instant ramen spot.Previously when the place cooked its own ramen, it was quite good in the beginning with an excellent (and sometimes spicy) tonkatsu broth with chewy noodles and beef. But as the years went by, the broth sometimes became more saltier and started to be inconsistent. Fast forwarding to now with the instant ramen twist, it doesn't give customers a reason really to come here except for the interesting instant ramen choices to choose from when some may know you can just go to a market and find similar unique ramen for so much cheaper. It's a unique concept don't get me wrong, but sustainably doesn't seem to be an enticing idea.A place that now sells a variety of instant ramen that you can cook yourself there, I probably will just cook my own ramen at home at this point. Not sure if I will come back here again.

What the cup has changed to a Ramen Lab. It's very good, ans the area seems cute, just a bit confusing haha. You can order here ans pick up still at the same place.

Good place to get a tasty bite with affordable prices! I used to frequent this place when I was in college to get some udon and Japanese fried Chicken. It hits the spot and the servings are pretty generous. This place has now turned into a DIY ramen joint, which I love the concept for. The staff is also friendly and the owner is really sweet and accommodating.

We were initially thrilled about the variety of ramen options, but our excitement turned into disappointment when we realized that all ramen choices featured pork broth. Unfortunately, there were no pure vegetarian, vegan, or chicken alternatives. As a result, we opted for bento box selections, specifically the Chicken Karaage Curry and BBQ Chicken. Arriving around 9 pm on a weekday, we found that noodles were already unavailable, so we had to settle for rice only. Despite this, we enjoyed the well-presented and flavorful BBQ Chicken more than the Karaage Chicken, although the curry portion wasn't sufficient for all four chicken pieces. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, but we wished for more diverse options, especially in the ramen selection.

Fun place for lunch today. There are two walls of ramen choices to choose from ranging from mild to very spicy. There are also options of regular ramen options from no spice to very spicy. Lots of available add ons as well. Small selection of drink's available as well as a modest snack section. My tonkatsu ramen was very good with good bouncy noodles and flavor. The broth was a touch salty for hubby but perfect for me. Hubby said his instant ramen was cool for the experience and he appreciated the add ons as well. Service was very helpful with selecting the appropriate spiciness levels of the ramen as well as the cooking apparatus for the instant ramen.

I haven't been here since before the pandemic, and I think it will be my last time. While I waited for the register employee to finish a break, or some thing in the back, I watched the other lady prepping the food, touch everything with gloves on besides food! She wiped her face with her gloved hand, and then proceeded to cut vegetables as she snacked on them in between putting some in her mouth as well as the bowl that she continue to mix and marinate with. Then she turned around behind her and opened the fridge door while using the same gloved hands to grab more produce, and then proceeded to cut that up. I wanted to cancel my order, but it already went through end Whatever! If I get sick, I'll know why! The lady at the register was nice, she was very helpful, but goodness the other lady was disgusting! I will never return! So sad because I really love this place and their fusion style of Asian cuisine as well as all the anime Figurines! Never again!

They rebranded to ramenlab, and I personally think this place is unique but fail in execution. Its main gimmick is being a create your own ramen shop from cup noodle packages, which completely defeat the whole point of eating out. They do, however, offer side dishes, udon, and bento boxes, which are miles better than all the ramen thing.

It was cold and I did not want to cook, so Ramen sounded perfect for dinner. Even though I live close by, I have never tried What The Cup before. I am so glad I finally did. Takeout with any soup, Pho or Ramen I am skeptical of, but What The Cup package this ramen good to travel and also stay hot. I got the Miso Niku Ramen with Shoyu pork. I got spice level 3. Good heat, but I think I am going to get spice level 4 next time. Also ordered gyoza's and they simply taste like any gyoza you get. Looking forward to getting Ramen from here again.
