Came here on a lunch break on a weekday! I ordered the iced Spanish latte with cinnamon, which was a latte sweetened with condensed milk. Cinnamon is optional upon order and part of the original recipe! I wanted to try something more authentic and true to form. My friend is lactose intolerant, so he opted to purchase the strawberry sparkler made with in-house puree.I really enjoyed the Spanish latte. It's sweet and not commonly offered, at least at the cafes I frequent! This is definitely a hit and is relatively easy to make. This was the perfect boost of mid-day caffeine I needed to be productive. The strawberry sparkler was also really yummy, I enjoyed the tartness and carbonation. They got the sugar level right on this one, we were a bit nervous since we didn't ask if it was customizable at this location. Overall recommend and would come back here again!

Voltaire is a cute and trendy little coffee shop! There is some seating too, which is nice. I ordered a vanilla latte which wasn't too sweet, and I also tried both the blueberry and carrot muffins. The blueberry one was by far my favorite, and probably one of the better muffins I've had from a coffee shop. My drink also came out fairly quick despite there being a line.

I can't speak to how good the coffee is however I had the funniest experience asking about their matcha here. I typically make iced matcha lattes at home and have not found a good spot when ordering out.Me: "Hi, what brand of matcha do you use?"Barista: "The organic kind"Me: "What brand? Do you know the name?"Barista: "Yes"Me: "Okay... what is it??"Barista: "We can't share"Me: "Why?"Barista: "Because we want to keep it mysterious to our customers"Me: "Mmm okay, how many grams do you use per drink?"Barista: "We use a scoopful"Me: "Okay, like 1 tsp?"Barista: "I'm not sure, maybe a little more"For those who know matcha, I'll leave it at that. If a store cannot share any detail about their matcha to me it infers it must be of a lower grade or quality. I'd give the matcha latte a 3/10. I asked for extra matcha and oat milk which made it tolerable. It was dull in color with a slight bitter and astringent after taste.

Still my favorite place and they have good food/snacks to eat while drinking your coffee. It's very chill and Lowkey inside which I like + the coffee is good. The staff are nice and they have good napkins. They are not cheap when it comes to the avocado crostini they do not skimp on the avocado slices. Ask for extra or heavy cream cheese. The Spanish latte hot with half oat milk is my absolute favorite and it's also very good iced but not as sweet cold. They have great coffee here I just hate the location parking is very very bad, there are usually no parks available and I have to illegally park in the red just to get my coffee. I wish they had a designated lot. It's hard to visit them often as parking is a hassle and pretty frustrating.

Voltaire Coffee is a hidden gem in downtown San Jose, offering some of the best coffee I've had in a while. The coffee beans truly stand out with a distinct flavor that hits differently in the best way. I tried the double shot vanilla latte and the caramel latte, both were excellent and crafted to perfection. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, whether you choose to sit indoors or enjoy the outdoor seating. The latte art is impressive and adds a personal touch to the experience. The service is equally delightful, making the whole visit a hit.If you're in San Jose and looking for a small, charming coffee spot with great vibes and even better coffee, Voltaire is definitely worth a visit!

Came here because of many other positive reviews and they have plenty of customers on Sunday morning around 8am.I ordered their holiday pecan latte and it was not overly sweet and surprising part was little chunks of pecans. I actually really loved it and it smelled like holidays Service was prompt and pleasant.

(Ryan Reynolds voiceover)The vibe is fab coffee place in San Jose! (Cue in Dion Warwick singing "Do you know the way to San Jose?") Voltaire is the definition of urban elegance. Love the music and the din of cafe conversations!Ren warmly greeted us!Nutella latte. Wowza! Amazing! Took to me to the best parts of Europe where the Nutella flows on everything with hazelnut goodiness.Bacon Bagel w/ Egg. Hearty and satisfying! Bacon + Eggs = Good Morning. That's my differential equation to solve that morning problem. Shhh I'm getting a second one to go!Avocado & Egg Crostini. So gorgeous! Very Californian!Ren recommended the Casia. I think it's off menu. But ooh la la you know me. Earl Gray, Lavender, and 2 shots of espresso! Of course I added a shot to make it a triple. 4 shots could have overwhelmed the complex & nuanced flavors. It is the bomb!Mike expertly made the artisan coffee creations! The guy is a maestro! (Will get the Coconut Oil Latte or Gibraltar to get my caffeine in. Because phospodiesterase inhibitors are good for you. As an aside, I do love coconuts. What red-blooded American does not? Holding 2 should remind you of Hawaii. Am I right, ladies? To keep this PG13, I may have meant 2 drinks! Whew.)Will be back! Thanks, Ren! Thanks, Mike!Woohoo!

We were in the area and decided to stop by. It's a small coffee shop with tables outside and inside. The decor is very pretty. The counter is in the middle I ordered a Mexican mocha and my husband ordered a Nutella latte. I used the bathroom and it was very clean that's always a plus. They had a giant drip coffee system that was pretty cool. The service was very fast. The coffee art is definitely on point very nice. My drink was delicious highly recommend the Mexican mocha. This place all around is a 5 star highly recommend.

This quaint coffee shop is the perfect study spot!! There's lots of seating inside, outlets, and free wifi. Parking is not bad, there's 2-3 spots of 2 hour parking in the front but also more street parking spots on the street to the right of the shop. If you're planning to stay a long time (6 hours+) I would recommend to park at the lot right across with a $10 flat rate. I loved the interior decoration and the barista was very friendly and welcoming! I got the matcha latte with honey and was a little bland, next time, I'll ask for them to make it a bit more creamy and sweet.Definitely going to come back to study and try their other lattes!
