Another five star worthy place in RWC downtown. Grabbed a lovely lunch on president's day after watching a move nearby. The place was busy so make sure to book ahead. It's by the street and bright and warm: lots of sunshine. We ordered the hazelnut salad, mushroom toast and rosemary/bacon/potato pizza. All are great. We saw some comments here mentioning a red and white option but it's no longer available (pity). Now I will have to come back a few more times to try the different pizza offerings and side dishes.Great food, good service, and great value makes this place five star.Nit: pizza is freshly baked so it's gonna take some time. Our salad and side dish came early so we finished them pretty quickly and had to wait for the pizza. I would suggest you pace yourself before pizza :)

Went here on. Tuesday evening with my coworkers. It's nestled in downtown Redwood City where their street is closed off for outdoor dining. I quite liked that. We sat in their patio with heated lamps to keep us warm during these winter nights. Our server was super attentive and also recommended specials and her favorite dishes/drinks. I thought that was a nice touch. We ordered a few appetizers, a salad, three pizzas and dessert (of course). Everything was amazing! I can't choose any faves because it was all yummy. I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes. We also had the bread pudding which I loved but I'm not a bread pudding girlie! That certainly says a lot. Go check this restaurant out now!

Was feeling like getting pizza and remembered that I bookmarked this place a while ago. I don't get the chance to go to Redwood City often so I wanted to try this place out. We initially waited for a table but decided to get the pizzas togo after a bit. We got the sausage & honey ($26.5) and the margherita ($21). The pizzas are thin crust, which I prefer since they still have a good chew without being all crust. The margherita sauce tasted really good, not too acidic while still being flavorful. The mozzarella and basil, which they didn't skimp on, paired nicely with the sauce. I did notice that the cheese seemed to slide off a few of the slices. The sausage & honey had a good amount of meat on it and was pretty filling. The serrano pepper added on top is raw and adds a nice heat without lingering. I do wish there was more honey, as it seemed like not all the slices had it. Overall, the pizzas were a good meal. They tasted good but are pricier. The pizzas were ready in less than 10 minutes and we were able to eat shortly after. They offer different red sauce and white sauce pizzas so there are lots of options to choose from!

Came here during the week with coworkers for a weekday celebration. I've heard great things about this place and I recommend this place too. We had reservations but upon greeting us they offered inside or the back patio. What a great patio - you get the outdoors with an indoor cozy feel. We ordered the beet salad, roasted cauliflower, zucchini appetizer, and the mushroom pizza. Everything was delicious, and I'm planning on coming back to try other items especially the pizza. The pizza crust was thin the way I like it with a nice chewy soft crust. My next try will be a red sauce pizza. Service was spot on and staff very friendly, professional and attentive.

Still solid. Beet salad was fantastic. Pizza was wonderful. Sundae and bacon ice cream - mmm mmm yum. Mary Grace was wonderful. Other Waiter fellow with moustache and pearl necklace needs to smile and be much more courteous and less coldly rude. On a Sunny Saturday eating out here on the street is truly beautiful

This place has a nice ambience with dimmer down lights in the evening. We were able to get a table when we came on a Saturday for an early dinner around 5:30 without a reservation but it filled up really fast. Reservation is definitely recommended.I really liked the mushroom toast. It was just enough flavor and though it was buttery/saucy, the bread underneath didn't get soggy. The pizza flavor is good but the only complaint is that the crust soaked through. So the pizza itself was a little hard to hold since the crust on the bottom broke through. If the crust held better, would rate it a 5.

First time eating at Vespa, this place is located the heart of Redwood City and placed with many other great food places as well. This place had great appetizers, flavors were great but the best thing that I got here was the margarita pizza. The tomato sauce was robust and the crust was perfectly thing, crunchy with a hint of chew just right in the middle. Overall this place was great and had great service. Other than mazra in the area this place would be the go to.

Wonderful service and wood fired pizza. Orders: Our favorite was the sausage and honey pizza! A great balance of spicy jalapeño with the sweetness of the honey. 8/10 We did 1/2 vegetarian to accommodate our friend! We liked the soppressata pizza , the pesto was rich and unique. 7.5/10The Mexican dessert was incredible!! The cake texture paired with the soaking cream on the bottom of the plate was our favorite. Don't skip this one! 9/10The mushroom bread app was also creamy and rich too. Skip:The grilled carrots. The dulce de leche ice cream. We really enjoyed the service, the waitress was accommodating and attentive. We did request a table indoors but we're seated in the back patio outdoors after a 30 min wait. Other than that, our waitress gave great recommendations.

Vesta is always crowded, but it definitely lives up to the hype. It has some patio seating in the front and some in the back. The main dining room is not very big, which also contributes to the fact that there is always a line. The service was top-notch. I liked how the restaurant feels nice but in a low-key, not stuffy way. The food was delicious and authentic. I'd say the pizza is on par with what you'd actually get in Italy. There, I said it. There were four of us, so we ordered two pizzas and two salads. We tried the beet salad and the butter lettuce salad. Both were generously portioned, well-flavored, and fresh. The pizzas were probably a bit too large for one person (unless you're starving), but might be a bit small for two. So I'd recommend ordering small plates or salads to start. We tried the special of the night, which was a white pizza with pistachio pesto, smoked ham, ricotta salata, goat gouda, and a drizzle of Calabrian chili honey. It was so so good. We also tried the Soppressata, a red pizza with tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella, spinach, and soppressata. It was also delicious. The crust was slightly puffy, with a crisp exterior and chewy interior. The toppings were fresh and well-balanced. Highly recommend!
