Vatos Tacos

We used Vatos Tacos to cater our work Christmas lunch. They set up and had all the food prepared by the time we had asked them to be ready. Everyone really enjoyed the tacos, churros and elote cups.They were very friendly. They cleaned up the area when they were done really well too.Will definitely be using them again for another work catering event.

Meat preference for me:-Beef (tasty, but more wet texture, not grilled asada texture/flavor)-Chicken-Pork (bit swiney flavor, or maybe it was the seasonings used)Tacos come as double tortilla; plenty of meat. Food temp was between room temp / cool; wish it was a bit warmer especially right out of the warming pans. Salsas are fine, but not bold flavor and zero spice/heat for both red and green.Elote. Bright, fresh tasting. hints of citrus and spice from chili. Possibly a highlight of the meal.Vinny and Tony were 5 stars. Great service, friendly, and fun. Helped give info for future business inquiries.I didnt plan it so can't comment on their promptness, communication, or overall value for service. I believe the packages are around $16+/person. You can get other add ons like salads, quesadillas, churros, drinks

Buyer beware, we were referred to Vatos by a coworker. We check out their website, checked their yelp reviews, Oh wow, you guys catered company parties and for davante Adams, must be legit. We call and coordinate for a birthday party at Lincoln landing in Hayward, told them the date and location. "We've done events there, no problem". Fast forward to the actual day of event, the crew shows up late, pretty much unable to bring their grill and what not to the patio on the 2nd floor... what? I thought yall been here no problem, wrong.Due to the crew not being able to bring up their equipment, they let us know they will bring back smaller grills to cook everything and serve it. Umm okay, I guess? They leave and come back two hours later.. two hours later really? It's getting dark now and they brought all their cooked meats and start setting up some griddles to heat up the tortillas. Wasn't the agreement for fresh tacos just like any other taco company, not pre cooked meat and just warming up tortillas.Those 'fresh' churros that were supposed to be cooked on the spot ended up being a bundle of soggy, cold churros that were brought from who knows where.The food was okay at best, the service was meh, I understand it's not the workers fault and they tried to be professional as possible under the circumstances. But one of the workers stated: "we still showed up and served food for two hours" Seriously? If we wanted this trash experience we could've just catered with chipotle and called it a day, at least we'd know what we're spending our money on.I understand things happen etc, that's life. But don't flip the script and make it seem like we're at fault. We're literally clients paying you for an experience, not the other way around.I'd do a one star review but they ended up partially reimbursing us for the experience. Sorry, not sorry.

Giving five stars because the food was good,and the service was great. Not authentic but good food. The salsas roja y verde were mild and could of used more salt and spicier Chiles. The beans were good and so was the rice, although not authentic Mexican rice. They brought churros and also provided one agua fresca which was a pretty good horchata. All in all they provided good service for a company outing.

Had a chance to try them at a 40th birthday bash. Tacos were really good but the star of the show and not like my go to pick, chicken. It was very flavorful and juicy. 2nd would be the Al Pastor and then steak, I wasn't too fond of the steak because it was on the dry side.Staff was very fast and nice. They had a good variety of toppings that included chips, rice and beans. I didn't get a chance to try them but nice to have the option. Chipotle sauce is a must on the tacos to give them an elevated taste.Also got to try the shrimp cocktail cups and elote corn. The shrimp cocktails where good and refreshing. Not too big on the elote cups, a little too much mayo for me.

If you haven't tried Vatos Tacos Forever yet, what are you even doing with your life? Vinnie and Tony have truly mastered the art of tacos, and celebration of great food and good vibes. The vibe was hella chill, but with a fun energy that makes you want to stay and hang out. The guys (Vinnie and Tony) are welcoming, and always smiling. It's clear they've created a place that's all about enjoying good food, good company, and good times.

Their food is absolutely delicious! Beef and fish tacos were my favorite. High quality and fresh ingredients, and the flavor is oh-so-good. The cucumber lemonade was outstanding as well. Great people, great food - it doesn't get any better than this. Highly recommend!

fantastic taco catering- very professional, food was great, and service was excellent. This was basically the only company who responded thoroughly, professionally, and consistently to both texts and emails. They came roughly 2 hours before our event and were helpful throughout. All the food was excellent and they even packed up the leftovers for us! Highly highly recommend Vatos Tacos for any event!

We used Vatos Tacos to cater our wedding reception and it went flawlessly!! The food is delicious!! And they have great vegetarian options. We did their taco sampler before we booked them, which was a pick up order for 10 people and had a tasting at the house. We were hooked instantly! At our wedding, all our guests told us how much they loved the food. The team was on time, professional, accommodating, and so incredibly friendly. They were able to turn out fresh food for 100 people with really short wait times. They were able to work around our ceremony and cocktail hour logistics. They were flexible to update our order once we had the final guest count and responsive on all my emails and questions. We've already ordered from them again since our wedding. Highly recommend Vatos Tacos for all your Mexican catering needs!

We hired Vatos Tacos for a team lunch hosted at our office for 125 people. Vinnie and Jimmy were extremely nice and friendly, they even were willing to start serving a bit earlier than planned! The food got raving reviews, the only thing to note is their elote cups were not like authentic elote. Although still good, I think quite a few people were expecting traditional elote cups you can get from street vendors in the Bay Area. BUT they also have a special chipotle sauce that was super delicious and I am a huge fan of good sauces. Thank you!
