Very decent Farmer's market. Location: Old Alvarado Park, only on Saturdays. Fresh produces and fruits available. Food and fish stalls are also there. Small compared to the other Farmer's markets around. Reasonably priced I would say. Fruits were really good, especially the berries I bought that day. People are friendly as well. What I liked the best about this is the location. It's in the Old Alvarado Park; shades all around. Comfortable walking around and picking up fruits/veggies without the troubles of sun in the Summer weather. There's play area near by where kids can have fun as well.Disadvantages: Small farmer's market, options are less. Parking is a big headache. Public parking spots near by, but always full. Street parking in the best option, but hard to find.

Been going to this Farmers market almost every Saturday! Great selections of fresh veggies, fruits and fish! I always get some eggs and balut from the Filipino couple but it's been 2-3 weeks now that I have not seen their stall? Does anybody knows if they're just on vacation??? Appreciate it.

The Union City Farmers Market is located in a nice park. They are open year round every Saturday from 9am to 1pm rain or shine. The day we visited, there was about a dozen vegetable and fruit stands. Also, a couple of other vendors selling other stuff such as baked goods, kettle corn, Filipino food, and health products.Overall, it was alright. Would be a regular if we lived in the area. As a visitor to the Bay area, I doubt we will return very often to this specific farmers market.

A decent farmer's market that sell a variety of produce, organic strawberries, most common Asian leafy greens, fresh seafood and fish,, and a catering that serves great chicharon, bagnet. They also serve other Ilokano dishes. The reason for stars is that a few of the vegetable vendors portion their bunches a little smaller compared to other farmer's markets from other cities.Prices went up like $3 - $4/ pound. During the pandemic & following the precautionary measures,The vendors will attend to every customer because they are only ones weighing and handing out the vegetables for you. They mostly accept cash, and they can accept credit cards.

Union City Farmers Market is located in Union City.Today's Farmers Market was smaller than usual -- it was half the normal size. I'm not sure why -- the weather was nice (sunny but cool). Those that were there were friendly and attentive. Hopefully there will be more sellers the next time.

We took our Saturday morning walk to the market today, and came across a super awesome young lady. She was very mature and professional for her age! She initiated a greeting with us by offering us some strawberries to taste. So we stopped to try; they were delicious! So of course we bought some. She chatted with us while she was packing our strawberries and was so welcoming. We came to find out that she is the director of the market's daughter (shout out to momma for raising this young one!) she also offered us some useful information as to how to keep the strawberries good for up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator (although we know these strawberries won't last that long bc they will be in our tummies!). 5 stars overall for this awesome little market.

What's not to like about buying fresh fruit, veggies and flowers at a bargain rate? If you can swing yourself out for 1/2 hour to this outdoor market, you'll definitely be doing yourself a favor. Here is what I saw:-funnel cakes-fresh flowers-fresh fish and other seafoods (if your lucky)-fresh veggies-fresh fruits-free samples Bring out your bargaining skills...almost everything is negotiable. As for myself, I got there when they started closing up and was able to pick up zucchini's, flower bunches and plums. I got to bargain down all the prices and my Chanel wallet wins! I have left over money in it still :)

This review is for the fish monger only. I asked if he sold fish collarbone which is tasty when broiled, instead he said buy the tail piece which was just as tasty. Huge mistake as the piece was tough and old. Dishonesty gets you nowhere

Great community gathering for everyone, especially families. I wish they allowed dogs, but I completely understand they they are not allowed because the health safety aspect. I have been coming to this market for years with my family. I loved going to the market especially during the summer because they have a live band that plays until noon. This market truly has it all: kettle corn, fresh veggies, pastries, hummus to FARM FRESH EGGS! If you really want to challenge someone or make a house party really memorable stop by the egg lady's stand for some Balut ;P Balut comes in either chicken or duck form. A Balut is an egg that has been incubated and now has a baby chick inside, basically a fertilized egg-an Asian delicacy. This market opens as early as 7:30a-8a. It runs until about 1-1:30p. If you need leafy green veggies, it's best that you come early for veggies because they tend to sell out really early. The only down fall about this market is the parking. There is not a designated parking lot nearby. There is only street parking along the park where the market is located. Come early or towards the end f the market because parking is hard to find during peak, busy hours.
