The ordering process was so easy (just talking to Ray over the phone versus most places that make me fill out a bunch of paperwork) that I was worried I hadn't done it right and he wouldn't show up with all the food. But nope, he came right on time with everything packaged extremely conveniently ready to set up in a flash. And the food was so delicious! I'm definitely saving his contact information. I especially appreciate that he went out of his way to cater my event even though it was during a time when he is usually not open. 5 star caterer for sure!

By far my best catering experience ever. He catered my backyard wedding and went above and beyond in every way. We requested servers and bartenders, and the people he provided were truly professionals. The food was phenomenal. Everyone continues talking about it from the wedding. As for Uncle Ray, he's one of a kind. So helpful with providing his recommendations, and even helped plan the whole set up for the wedding. With him and his team, everything was perfect. This made food and service at my wedding as easy as it could get, at a very good price. Highly recommended, wedding on 9/26/20 in Morgan Hill.

Uncle Ray catered at our wedding this past April and did such a masterful job. People are still talking about the delicious food, beautiful presentations, and such elegant chic serving of gourmet appetizers!He will give you a food tasting prior to the wedding. Our parents were really nitpicking on everything from the height of the rice grain to the amount of saffron or presentation of the food. He listened to all their requests and pleasantly surprised everyone with the results which were nothing short of extraordinary.I absolutely loved seeing him so calm and in his element on the day of!It was a blessing having him and his delicious art work of a food at our wedding. We are truly obliged and can't recommend him enough! Uncle Ray was our wedding caterer. We selected him mainly because of couple of 5-start recommendations we had about him. They were are nothing but true.Uncle Ray personally supervised the whole catering function of the 150-ppl wedding (and even more!) Prior to the wedding, we gave him the ceremony and reception table charts. On the day of event, all preparations happened transparently to us. Everything was on time as they were planned. Cocktail hour appetizer was very delicious (ask for Shrimp and Koobideh pieces - so yummy and fantastic presentation). The dinner got prepared with all details in place. I am not a cook, but you do the math when Persian moms like the food!!! All our guests were happy and asked if who our caterer was. Uncle Ray even arranged for a very nice presentation of bringing the wedding cake to us at the time of cake cutting. I remember his staff and himself running around all evening. They didn't cut any single corner and made sure everything went perfect.We are very pleased with his service and he surely deserves another 5 star recommendation. Will we hire him for our future events? Definitely!!!Thank you Uncle Ray!

Uncle Ray has catered several parties for us. The last one was a baby shower at our house in May 2013. We were very pleased with the food and service and everyone complimented us on how professional everything was. Uncle Ray spends a good amount of time trying to understand each client's unique requirements and needs and does an excellent job of meeting and exceeding those expectations. By the end of the party, everyone wanted a business card for our caterer :)Thank you Uncle Ray for making our shower party so much more special and for all the yummy food.

Holy cow!!!!! Way way beyond our expectations. We had a birthday party in a church hall, and 3 waiters, plus Uncle Ray and a helper. 80 People. We chose him based on the Yelp reviews. Ray is a pro, who is emotional about his food, and your budget and making you happy. It ran like clockwork, with trays replenished as they were emptied. All of the arrangements were completely transparent to the guests, except for the following quotes "I've never had catered food this good." "The choice of Persian food is remarkably refreshing, not the same old smashed beans and rice." I lost count of how many people wanted to know about Uncle Ray.The food was splendid: absolutely fresh, beautifully season and presented. He even has antique silver chafing dishes which added an elegance to the party. He provided a spicy sauce to go with each sauce, in case people wanted more spice. We started the menu selection by saying we wanted everything, and then we discovered we could not afford "everything." They made the suggestions about what to cut. Nobody could have told there was anything missing. Like a whole salmon, for example.I could not be happier with Uncle Ray: he's professional, warm, interested in what you want, and can make great suggestions about people's eating habits. I'm sorry I'm not going to see him with the regularity of the last couple of weeks. Have no fear about Uncle Ray's.

We get take out from here once or twice a month since it is so close to our house and the food is really good. The rice is always fluffy and flavorful, and the chicken and ground beef koobideh are always our favorites. I usually get lamb as well but it is often a bit dry - I will mention this to them next time and hopefully they can improve.We also really like their sauce that they include - similar to a 1000 Island dressing, it is very good mixed with some spicy chili sauce and mixed up with rice or for dipping the meat in.They are also doing business as Real Kabob.

Let me explain My dear sister in law lost her battle with cancer. My brother tasked me with catering on a limited budget. Also we had less than a week till the celebration of life.The Same day that I contacted Uncle Rays catering, Ray personally met with me & visually demonstrated his culinary excellence, showing me past catering events all over the Bay Area. We discussed a number of options & details Therein, what to serve & how. Ray came up with great options & because I could visually picture them it helped me understand the beauty & detail & volume of what & how it was to be presented. Additionally, there was no commercial kitchen or filtered water, at the venue. He asked detailed questions about timing access & necessity regardless of budget. Ray understood what we needed & that Sunday he faithfully delivered excellence. Tables were full of fruit trays & veggie trays & shrimp cocktails & sandwich wraps of all kinds, heated trays of delicious meats & desserts of many kinds. Several beverages were also available for the church goers in attendance.Ray went above & beyond, taking our burden as his own and truly delivering culinary excellence in our/ my time of need.He takes pride in what his team does & he took a huge burden off me & his team performed on time & beautifully.I will use him again and I will personally talk to you about the event & how it went. He literally said it was a pleasure to serve my family in a time of need, wow it was powerful.

Got lured to this place through Groupon. Was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their kabobs, kufta, lamb chops. Top notch, one of the best in the area. Friendly service. I would go there again even if i dont have groupon.Dont get confused - seems like they also go by name Real Kabob:)
