I came on President's day for brunch & was so surprised at how busy it was! The service here is amazing. The workers are so attentive & really went above and beyond. I had ordered a California soufflé omelette that I was sharing. They even split it for us on two plates already. The portions are huge and food was so delicious. It came with hash browns & also our choice of toast, pancakes or French toast. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, so the wait was minimal. The parking here is terrible. Very limited parking in front of the shop, & a few in the back. There's some residential street parking near by.

came here during a busy sunday morning for brunch with my dad. had joined the waitlist through yelp so that we wouldn't have to wait too long in person. when we got to 4th in line, we waited outside the restaurant. then suddenly, my name was removed from the waitlist even though i was still only 4th in line. talked to a hostess about the confusion although she was very short with me and seemed to be mad about the rush. she claimed that they had called my name and that i didn't show up. not sure how that happened as my dad and i were waiting by the door and never once heard my name being called. because of this, we had to wait 10 more minutes before finally being seated. in terms of food, it was your standard breakfast/brunch options. my dad and i both chose the classic breakfast with a waffle. everything was good but the best part of our meal were the hashbrowns. they were so crispy and crunchy and i feel like they give a larger portion compared to other breakfast spots. one thing i will say though, i asked for my eggs to be over medium and got over hard instead. overall, this restaurant is good for it's breakfast but service could be a little better. one more thing i do want to point out is that the table we were seated at was kind of broken. the table top was slanted and very small so i was scared if our food was going to slip off. you can't see in the photos but you can see how we didn't have a lot of space on the surface.

Just as good if not better than the spot in Campbell. The service was great, the food was delicious and the location is fantastic. There is a hidden away parking lot in back and the entrance can be a little tricky to find. But if you're persistent you will have an amazing meal. I highly recommend giving them a try.

It's not hard to see that uncle John's pancake house is the most loved breakfast spot in San Jose by the crowds it pulls. When I came in on a Sunday morning it was standing room only and so worth the wait! The ambiance is full of energy, natural light and cheer from all of the kind and positive employees. The menu is so extensive with breakfast and lunch items, both savory and sweet. I tried the California omelet with hash browns and it was amazing. The eggs were so fluffy and nicely complemented with the fresh vegetables. The hash browns were perfectly crispy and the side of French toast was a tasty sweet treat! My only suggestion is to provide different ketchup without corn syrup. Such amazing food requires amazing condiments. I can't wait to try more menu items.

Order as follows: 1. Chicken and waffles side of cream cheese frosting and coffee 2. Chocolate short battered pancakes with 2 eggs 2 turkey sausages and coffee First and foremost shout out to Monique she has PHENOMENAL managerial skills. She was very understanding that my husband's food was not hot and my pancakes had a yellowish piece of item/food baked inside of them. I'm giving this place a 5 star because even though we weren't pleased with the food Monique was beyond words of amazing. She handled our concerns with care and understanding. Not once did she get defensive or rude. She listened to us the customers and apologized for the restaurants error. She also offered other choices to remake food etc. I would like to say that she should be a manager because she has the ability to show empathy, leadership, and professionalism. Upstanding customer service. Maybe in the near future we wil return to try other plates. The ambiance reminds me of a cute modern diner. Location in the Alameda near restaurants and shops. Parking is available in front of the restaurant or the near of restaurant. 5/5 - PHENOMENAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

GOOD FOOD, GREAT SERVICE and a warm welcoming old-school diner vibe. You can't go wrong! Absolutely loved the light, fluffy, slightly crisp waffle! Linguica was delish! We enjoyed everything and the waitress recommendation to add the "chunky monkey" was fantastic!! Do not miss this spot! Oh and be prepared to wait- no reservations but soooo worth it!!

I mean... it's uncle John's. What is there to NOT love about this place. Everyone gets what they want, portions are big, and they try their best to get folks in and out. The service? First, they're great at teamwork. Need coffee? Ask ANYONE and BAM you have coffee. Again, what more do you need? It's always busy with a wait when I come in, so they're still doing something right! The ambiance is kind of like if waffle house and the breakfast club had a baby... if you know WH, you know. Certainly a great place to get a mimosa, catch up, have breakfast and prep for the week ahead.

I've been here twice and both times it was delicious and the service was great. My most recent visit was before Christmas. They had a fun holiday menu with delicious drinks too. I didn't know how much I NEEDED gingerbread and pumpkin pancakes in my life! I didn't add any syrup because they both tasted so good without it. I posted a pic of the Red Velvet pancakes, which I did not try but my daughter and my friend did and loved them. It was super crowded and we sat up the counter which was fine, we waited about 30 minutes on a Sunday morning and it was worth it!

In the mood for breakfast food after attending mass nearby at Mission Santa Clara de Asis, we found Uncle John's on Yelp and joined the waitlist before we all hopped into the car.Uncle John's is a casual diner located in a busy strip mall housing Starbucks and Five Guys, so parking is extremely limited both in the front and back lots. We parked about a block away, which truly wasn't a bother at all considering we were planning to stuff ourselves a walk through the Rose Garden area of San Jose is a truly one of a kind experience.Once we arrived, we immediately checked in with the hostess. I cannot stress the importance of this step enough (it also reminds you in the Yelp app). There are often several groups of people waiting at a time, and they rely on the waitlist feature to keep track of who was there first, etc. After a short 5 minute wait, we were seated inside and were able to place our order within 5-10 minutes of being seated. The food came out hot and freshly prepared about 15 minutes after ordering. I ordered the South of the Border omelette with carnitas AND chorizo, with hash browns and a stack of buttermilk pancakes. The portions were just right; enough to fill me up for the meal, some leftovers for later. Service was outstanding! I could not have asked for better servers. They were all very busy, but they worked the Sunday morning brunch crowd like a well-oiled machine.

A diner in the Bay Area!! So unheard of! There are 2 locations with the newer one on Alameda closer to downtown SJ. Great brunch options with the all major griddle dishes offered, crepes, French toast, waffles, or pancakes. What more can you want? Also with Latino breakfast options like Chilaquiles and breakfast burrito. The Alameda location had a fun Valentine's Day menu to my surprise. I got the link coco which was fun and delicious. (See photo.) The outdoor seating also had fun old school jams playing and great service. Recommend joining the waitlist on Yelp ahead of time to avoid the lines on weekend brunch mornings/afternokns. Don't be dismayed by the prices, the portions are more than you can handle!
