I am quite sad to see a lot of low reviews for this location. I tried Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee at the Vietnam Town location first. I would say here the quality is the same except you do not have to wait in an extremely long line for it. It is consistent enough compared to the Vietnam Town location so if you really like Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee and you don't mind the extra drive, you should come here. I have tried both the Legend version and the regular Vietnamese coffee. They are both really good and you can taste the difference in the Legend version. It justifies the price increase but it is not something I would get all the time. The area is really small and there is some seating. Although I do not think it is a place to sit down at for long. It is more of a grab and go kind of vibe.I really like the coffee and I do taste the premium beans they use. I understand why the price is quite high compared to other coffee. I do wish they had a cheaper option. $11 for Viet coffee is way too much. I do come here and there as a treat or when I am getting Banh Mi in the same integrated store.

Went in on a Friday at 7:40pm. Was not aware they closed at 7:45 pm because the hours sign was blocked when the front doors and fully opened. There is a paper 'happy hours' sign that says from 3 pm - 8 pm so I assume they opened until 8 pm. Got in and ambience is nice and went to the register to look at the menu. Since it was my first time, I took some time to look at the menu. Does anyone know what is the difference between all the ENERGY coffees??? I don't see any description so when I asked the lady at the register, she semi-slammed her hands on the table and said they were closed. She said they closed at 7:45 pm. I checked the time and it was 7:44 pm. Not realizing the time and seeing people ordering pre-made cakes? In front of me, I thought they were still open. It was a tad embarrassing because there were other patrons inside already and all had their drinks for awhile and they were just staring at me.So not only did I get my question answered, I didn't get a coffee. I'm generally fine if they say, oh sorry we are closed but the difference between the coffees are..... Anyways, not be trying this place at all. Will just go to the other 10 coffee shops in this plaza instead. Please feel free to verify this interaction on your cameras if you have any. It was Friday feb 28 2025 at around 7:40 pm. You will see me take a menu and move over to the side to see what is on the menu. Few pointers for management:- Take down your happy hour sign when you don't even open until 8 pm.- make your business hour signs visible when doors are open/ closed- train the front house employees better in regards to customer service. - your current deal of Roman ground coffee from $42 to $10 sounds like a deal but makes me think the coffee grounds and about to expire. I wouldn't put that steep of a discount.

Trung Nguyen Legend 7/10I got to stop by here with my parents this past Friday around 3 pm. I think because of the rain, it wasn't too crowded! And unexpectedly, it was also during the hours of their happy hour. Taking advantage of their happy hour, I grabbed one hot and one cold of their The Breakthrough Energy and a Vietnamese Coffee with Sea Salt Cream, and a pandan waffle! Pro-tip: pay in cash for 4% off!The setup of the traditional Vietnamese coffee was pretty neat. I like that it's clearly the shop's pride and joy to provide an authentic experience. Despite this, I would argue that it was fairly pricey for how little actual drink you get. Though, it was STRONG. If you're not looking for any frills, the other side of the menu (like the Vietnamese coffee with sea salt cream) had almost twice the volume of drink. I was also a bit disappointed with how small the Pandan waffle was. For only $3, I inhaled the thing in under a minute. Maybe I should've taken advantage of their deal of buy 3 get one free...Overall, I have no regrets of coming here. It was a fun experience. Would I come back? Perhaps on another random day during happy hour, but I don't think I would go out of my way to try again. Service: 3/5Food: 4/5Price: 3/5Atmosphere: 4/5

So good! I heard this spot is really popular in Vietnam, and they just opened a new location here in SJ, so we had to check it out. I can't drink coffee so I got their bạc xỉu. A must-try for sure but it's a little expensive. Honestly will have to come every week because I'm addicted now. Service was great! Nothing to really talk about

Experiencing a bac xiu coffee at Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee was a delight, especially in an American-style coffee shop. The coffee is slightly pricier but comparable to Starbucks, with a far superior flavor and a stronger kick. The unique blend and rich taste made it worth every penny, providing a distinct and satisfying coffee experience. For anyone seeking a coffee that's a cut above the rest, Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee is a must-visit. Highly recommended!#TrungNguyenLegend #CoffeeExperience #BacXiuDelight #BetterThanStarbucks

It's on the sweet side so I had a huge cup of water to go with the coffee. It tastes good tho, and the presentation was awesome, they even gave you bread to go with it. Bread is again super sweet. There were a lot of people and of course the inside is very noisy so it's not a place to quietly work. Love the interior design.

The legend. Highly anticipate by many here in San Jose. There are a variety of drinks available, but I was getting them togo so I did not have time to get the famous ca phe sua da there. Opted for a bac xi for the bf and I got myself the almond coffee. It took forever to get the order, but good things take time is what they say!? The coffee is good, but the price tag was not. It was nice to try but it is not my go to coffee shop! Lots of new places serve a lot of ice as well. If you see my pictures, it's like 1/3 coffee and the rest milk, so the coffee flavor is not very prominent. I'll have to try this when I go to Vietnam to see the hype!

This place is amazing but the coffee is way too expensive ($8) for ALL ICE. look at my pics. Please shake your coffee with ice so you don't need to put as much. My drink was gone in four sips and I feel robbed lol

Came here in the afternoon on a weekday around 1 PM for a coffee. The line often goes out the door since there is little space between the cashier and the rest of the store. another location of this opened in Vietnam Town, but this one seems to have merged with the pre-existing banh mi restaurant. The menu is overpriced. Imagine paying nearly $10 for a cup of coffee. I got the iced almond coffee. it was huge, overly sweet, milky, and felt more like a dessert than a drink. it took 10 minutes to come out. I shared it with my mom and drink it over the course of two days. The service was terrible. I cannot imagine a worse experience. The cashier had attitude and was rude. She tossed me a stiff piece of bread covered in sugar after getting my order. I asked if this came with my drink, and she gave me the stink eye. The former banh mi restaurant had better boba drinks than this spot. 1.5/5 stars

This is a great coffee stop on your way to target. I came here with friends after having brunch at Pho Papa and had egg coffee. We lucked out to have no line but this place does get crowded. There are plenty of seats while you wait for coffee though if you do end up with a line. The egg coffee is good with a nice amount of sweetness. My friends had the Legend coffee and the Peach tea. The Legend coffee tasted good with a slightly sweeter taste than Vietnam authentic ca phê. The peach tea wasn't too sweet and refreshing. My recommendation is to stick to the popular drinks instead of the signatures.
