Was directed here from a Groupon and it turned out to be quite lovely! It looks to be a new establishment, so still some quirks they're ironing out but don't let that deter you from going! We did the flight of spirit tasting and MAN OH MAN DO THOSE LITTLE SHOTS PUT SOME HAIR ON YOUR CHEST. I'm a weakling to certain spirits raw, so I naturally I needed to chase some down with a little water. If you're bold, then you'll be fine. If you're like me, bring your own chase! There's a little market down the way if you're looking for some food/snacks (we were told cocktails are limited until they get a kitchen installed). We were given such great insight on the distillery and the differences of flavorings, we each took a bottle home! Those have since been emptied so definitely worth grabbing one or some to enjoy! It was fun once the music got going, each table was vibing with one another so it was amazing to meet new people. We were super lucky to grab this on a perfect day. It was overcast but also sunny, was an adorable little atmosphere. Parking was perfect, too.I'm almost certain this place is dog friendly, or at least were when we went but things might change once they add on! Anyway, you should definitely put a group together or plan a date here!

What a great discovery Treecraft Distillery was riding our bikes from Oakland on the Bay bridge bike trail to Treasure Island! Our bike party of four decided to make a pit stop here after lunch on our way back across the bridge. We were most interested in the whisky and the rum fermented with whisky yeast. Three of us decided to do a bit of tasting. - all very flavorful, smooth spirits which went down easy. I took home the chocolate bourbon, American whisky and rum. The prices for each bottle are so reasonable at $40- $45 each. There's also a casual seating area where people were congregating and enjoying their spirits. Unfortunately for us, this would not have been a great idea with all of us on bicycles.Treecraft is a destination worth visiting to try their local made vodka, gin, whiskies and rum when going to Treasure Island. I'm a fan of supporting local. I'd like to try their vodka and gin on my next visit. For now, I enjoy the American whisky over rocks though!

Like lots of other reviewers, I was found Treecraft through Groupon. The distillery itself is small and there is an area out front with tables for the tastings. It was a cute place and parking was easy. I liked that it was a little bit in the middle of nowhere and there weren't many people around until we were getting ready to go...it seemed like we went from being the only people there to the place being packed in a matter of 15 minutes so I suggest coming early if you want to avoid the crowds. We came on a hot July day with a group of 5 but one was a DD and we brought our small dog as always. The fact that it is dog friendly is one of the main reasons we came. The porta-potty they have near the tables for use was clean enough, but really hot on a warm day after a few drinks. The owner/maker did our tasting and for our drink at the end, I requested something "off menu" made with the spirit I most preferred. I was not disappointed. We ended up getting a bottle of our favorite to take home. Overall, it was a nice way to spend an hour or so together and we enjoyed being able to support a small business and learn a little along the way. If you love gin, as one person in our group did, then I highly recommend coming but even if you don't this is a nice little experience and a good way to sample new flavors and learn about local business.

Stopped by here for a spirits tasting back in November. Got to try three different kinds of gin, a vodka called Spirit of Oakland, their American Whisky, and their Chocolate Bourbon. Their chocolate bourbon was by far my favorite. They use cacao nibs from local chocolate shop Dandelion to infuse a chocolate flavor that is evident throughout. Ended up purchasing a bottle. While I'm not a fan of gin, I appreciated that the staff members took the time to explain how gin was made and even took out a whole array of spices and botanicals to showcase all the different flavor profiles of the gin they have to offer (lavender hibiscus, London Dry, Earl Grey). If you're not in the mood for spirits, they also serve cocktail drinks. Overall, I found it a very enlightening experience and the service was very attentive, informative, and welcoming. Definitely stop by if you're on Treasure Island!

We had a lovely time doing the six flight tasting at Treecraft Distillery earlier this month. Gordon was a wonderful host, the house-made cocktails were delicious, and we all walked away happy and buzzed to various degrees.RESERVATIONS //We had a large group of 11 and made a reservation beforehand via their website's contact form. (No reservations necessary for parties under 6 people.) Note: they currently have a Groupon deal that's an incredible steal! Groupons are only allowed for parties of 6 max.THE TASTING EXPERIENCE //When we arrived, one of the large tables had already been set up for us, and we all settled in with some water and snacks. We were big fans of nomming on the the peanuts and mini pretzels during the tasting.Gordon described each of the six spirits and the techniques and ingredients that went into giving them their unique flavors, and we each got little plastic cups to sample them.I don't drink alcohol often (and never straight, until today) - but I thought all of the spirits were quite smooth and easy to drink (all things considered). The vodka was the easiest for me to sip, and my whiskey-loving friends particularly enjoyed the chocolate bourbon whisky.THE COCKTAILS //For the house-made cocktails, my favorites were:+ Moscow Mule (Treecraft vodka, ginger beer, freshly squeezed lime juice, bitters): super refreshing. I could see myself consuming this way too quickly.+ Ginger Whiskey Smash (Treecraft whiskey, ginger, honey, freshly squeezed lemon juice): I really enjoyed stealing sips of this from my friends' glasses. The flavors worked together really well. There was a thick bubbly foam on top (from the honey?) and the drink overall had a more viscous texture. I also tried the Trees Knees, which had strong notes of lavender from the lavender hibiscus gin, and the French 75 cocktail (earl grey tea flavored gin, fresh squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, Prosecco), which was not bad but I'm not as big of a fan of the strong juniper taste.THE VIBE //The tasting was all outdoors, which allowed us to enjoy the sunny weather on Treasure Island and felt safer during COVID. The outdoors space was set up nicely and on a mostly quiet street on Treasure Island. There's also a port-a-potty which you might need after all that liquid. (Hydration is key! Drink lots of water too.)I appreciated Gordon's great customer service. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the bartender who was mixing our cocktails, but I want to give him a shout-out too for the aforementioned cocktails. TAKEAWAY // We had a lot of fun trying Treecraft's spirits. We ended up buying a few bottles of the vodka and chocolate bourbon to bring home. I could see myself coming back here for the delicious house-made cocktails and to enjoy the peaceful outdoors environment on Treasure Island. I hope more people get to check out their craft in-person!

A hidden gem on Treasure Island!I found Treecraft Distillery on Groupon and couldn't pass up such a good deal. My husband and I love wine tasting (but are newbies when it comes to spirit tasting), and were excited to try something new.We arrived at 3:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon and were seated in about 10 minutes. The location is small and reservations are only required for parties of 6 or more. Only street parking is available, but it wasn't difficult to find. The only downside of the location is that if you need to use the bathroom, they only have a porta potty. Out of the 6 liquors we tasted (including gin, vodka, and whisky), my favorite was the lavender gin and we purchased a bottle to-go. The cocktails were also a steal at only $10 each (in SF)! I'd recommend both the tree's knees and ginger whisky smash. The highlight of our visit was definitely how accommodating and knowledgeable the staff was! I'm bumping up my rating to 5 stars because of their customer service. Would definitely visit again!

TIPS:- get lunch at Mersea, short drive over to Treecraft for tasting- walk-ins are welcome but call ahead of time if you're in a big party- snacks are welcome- bring sunglasses and hat if it's sunny, no shade and it's all outdoors- bring a jacket or leave it in the car in case the bay breeze comes through- check on Groupon for deals!- this was really enjoyable, will be back!LOCATION:Treasure Island, SF with plenty of street parking. It's quiet and relaxing, away from the hustling streets in the city.EXPERIENCE:Great! My group made a reservation ahead of time for 13 people (highly recommend for large groups!). They were highly responsive and helpful to answer all of our questions. On the day of the event, they were patient and friendly with our party and we all had a fun time enjoying the sunny weather and delicious spirits and cocktails. Our reservations were for six spirit tastings (3 Gins, 1 Rum, 1 Whiskey and 1 Chocolate Bourbon) and 1 cocktail of our choice.

I spotted Treecraft Distillery on the map when looking around for something to do after a nice brunch on Treasure Island, and was curious but a bit hesitant given the low number of reviews. But I'm so glad I gave it a chance because Treecraft has become one of my favorite places to grab a drink now! No need to travel all the way to Napa to get a quality tasting experience of fine vodka, gin, and bourbon. The patio is a bit small and doesn't have any shade, so beware if going around peak suntime. There also isn't much scenery around since it's in an undeveloped and suburban area of the island, but the taste of their cocktails and attentive staff will make you forget about these shortcomings. So creative: gin infused with lavender and earl grey, and bourbon made with cacao nibs from Dandelion Chocolate are just examples. They even give you a tasty snack mix to chomp on with drinks for free!

Got the groupon, and it was super worth it! The owner was really knowledgeable and attentive and we enjoyed the tasting and the cocktail after. The space itself isn't the cutest but it's inviting and open-- good for groups of 4-6.

I got a Groupon (~$25) here for my friend and I to try. I couldn't survive the tasting, it's too strong for me, but it's a cool experience, as I've never even ventured to treasure island before and I grew up here. The Groupon comes with a tasting for two & two cocktails, one per person. Pretty cheap, but I wouldn't really drive back to treasure island tbh, it is just out of the way.
