Town Steakhouse in San Carlos is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The steaks are cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. I highly recommend the ribeye or filet mignon, both of which were incredible. The sides are just as impressive the truffle fries and mac & cheese were the perfect complements to our meal. The cocktails are expertly crafted, and their wine selection is solid.Service was outstanding attentive, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, making it perfect for a date night or special occasion. If you're in San Carlos and looking for a top-tier steakhouse, Town is the place to go. Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful food and service. Parking is a bit tough during peak dinner times. Can't go wrong with the surf and turf! There is outdoor seating with heaters and a private room upstairs for large groups/events

We came here for a double date to celebrate a late Valentine's dinner, and the experience did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is mid-sized with plenty of seating, giving off that classic upscale vibe you'd see in old-school movies. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent--starting with the hostess and our amazing server (whose name I, unfortunately, didn't catch). She had a great sense of humor and kept us laughing the entire time while also giving spot-on recommendations. One thing I have to mention--the garlic bread with crab on top is an absolute must. Our server recommended it as a popular dish, and now I completely understand why. We were so sad that we forgot to order some to go.Everyone enjoyed their meals, though I personally found my steak a little under-seasoned. That said, the overall experience was fantastic, and I can't wait to come back--especially for that incredible garlic bread.

After unfortunate experience at the restaurant next-door three of us had a pleasant experience at this charming spot in downtown San Carlos! The interior is cozy (slightly outdated), with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The heated patio is impressive - spacious, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for enjoying the fresh air while staying comfortable on the rainy, winter evening. The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The appetizers were beautifully done, with great flavors and presentation. Shout out to beef tacos (mmmm), and brussels sprouts. I also loved the interesting cocktail selection - unique and flavorful. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed, enjoyable dining experience!

Town is a nice steakhouse restaurant in the middle of downtown San Carlos. The place is clean but slightly disorganized. The service is excellent and friendly. We were welcomed and seated within about 10 minutes. The food is actually really good. I really liked the ribeye with baked blue cheese. Even people that hate blue cheese enjoyed it. The prime rib was also really good.

tl;dr No reservations. Solid food reminiscent of Los Altos Grill. Reasonably priced with a great patio.Parking: Easy free street parking with a nearby covered parking garage. No reservations so would recommend avoiding busy times if you don't want to wait. They have solid lunch specials for $24, but their normal menu is also reasonably priced.Brussel sprouts (4/5): Well seasoned and the crispy croutons added a nice texture. Town Burger (4-5/5): Added blue cheese and cooked perfectly medium rare. Very satisfying burger and fries were also crispy. Would definitely get again.Prime rib sandwich (3-4/5$): Ordered medium rare, but closer to medium. It was fine, but nothing special. Would skip next time.Great patio seating perfect for people watching as it's on a car-free section.

Usually I am giving this restaurant a great review, but I have been beee the last 2 times and it has not been very good food. My friend and I shared the 70 dollar ribeye and it wasn't very good. Not a great flavor and the texture was not good. I had four bites and she took the rest of the ribeye home to her husband. We also had the Brussels sprouts. I thought they would be crispy, and instead they were such soiled with a sweet sauce and had 2 of them. Terrible. My friend ordered the black rice.. absolutely tasteless. The only thing that was good was the warm cabbage salad. And that was overly saturated with dressing. Not going back anytime soon. The Greek restaurant across the street from town is absolutely great and their meat is tender and has taste. Town used to be pretty good food.. it's going down hill.

Town used to be my favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, the food has not been that great the last two times I've been there. I ordered the meatloaf recently, and it was dry. The clam chowder barely had clams. Their bread pudding dessert is fantastic when it comes out fresh. Sometimes, it's hot and soft, but other times, it comes out dry and crumbly. The consistent dishes that I recommend are the creamy garlic bread and the teriyaki skirt steak. The garlic bread is the best garlic bread I've ever had. The garlic bread is creamy like it has cream cheese. It's so addicting! The teriyaki skirt steak is super flavorful, and the meat is tender. If you're undecided about what to order, the teriyaki skirt steak is always a hit when I recommend it to friends. The restaurant used to take reservations, but they no longer do that. Parking is difficult to find, but it's easier to find parking in the lot or garage behind the restaurant.

Since when this classy restaurant became a sports bar ?!?!?! *sign...... you can feel my disappointment. I guess a lot of things could happen over 10+ years since I last visited this place. This time we came for happy hour and we weren't too happy unfortunately. The overall food quality was just ok. The veggie tempura was a DISASTER!!!!!!! It's so bad we told our waiter. He said it's a new dish to them and they were trying it. The reality is that they need to try harder. He took it off the bill which was nice. The sea bass cubes (tostada) was dry.The only good dish was the sliders. Piping hot and fresh. I don't think I'm coming back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Town in San Carlos, CA, for a birthday celebration with a group of nine. From start to finish, our experience was exceptional. The restaurant stood out for its fantastic service--attentive, friendly, and professional staff who went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was seamless. As for the food, every dish we ordered was delicious, but the ribeye truly stole the show. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, flavorful, and juicy--definitely a highlight of the evening. The Town do not take reservation and despite what they tell you, it can get busy even if you try to get there early so plan accordingly. Due to our party size, we had to be seated outside which was fine as they had heaters.Overall, Town exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience in the area.
