TOP POT

Went here for lunch with a friend. I love how there are so many meat choices and the service was great. It helped that we went during lunch where it was not crazy busy like dinner normally is.Food was delicious. We went with the Tom Yum Broth and the Pork Bone Broth. Their Tom Yum had that perfect sour spicy flavor, nothing to overpowering like other places. We did have to add some of our dipping sauce in the Pork broth because it was lacking a little flavor, but it was good, we just needed to add that extra to our liking. Their brisket was nice and tender and really soaked up the broth that added that extra juicyness. They also had other things at their sauce bar like Honey Walnut Shrimp, which was really delicious. The beef angus was also good and cooked very quick like the brisket. They had a nice selection of veggies and other sides for our soup.Once they saw that we were low, they came to our table and asked if we wanted more meats. They did that for all the tables. It can be very overwhelming if workers keep coming to your table asking if you want something, it takes time away from you enjoying your food. They really paid attention to their guest and knew the ques when it looked like we all needed help. Water was always refilled. We did have to hunt down our waiter to get more broth, but other then that, they did their best making sure we were all happy. When we asked for our second round, we mentioned that they missed our first order of corn and they gave us extra corn and when we asked for double the order of quail eggs (I love quail eggs in my hot pot) they really did give us a good double amount of quail eggs. Thank you so much. If you are in the Dublin/Livermore area, do try this place out if you are looking for a good hot pot place. Price is also not bad.

The service I had here was exceptional; however, I was really let down by the food quality, especially with how many great reviews this restaurant has. Maybe it's because I went on a weekday but in my opinion, food quality should always be consistent no matter the hour. The first thing that caught my eye was the strand of hair on the soggy rice. hen, I found a piece of hair in the lamb skewer I got. So I thought hmm, that was a bad start but it can't get any worse than this (it did). Once the miso and spicy broth heated up and I took my first sip of the spicy broth, it was shockingly salty. So I thought maybe I'll just stick to the miso broth? The miso broth was even saltier. The salt was so overwhelming that even just dipping the meat in the broth for a few seconds left it tasting like pure salt. During the time I was there, I couldn't even ask other customers about their experience since no one else was dining in. I think one of the worst feelings is spending money on food that doesn't live up to expectations so if I could give this place zero stars, I would.

Reading the positive reviews here, I went in with good expectations. However, it ended up being the opposite.We were a party of 5 and went during dinner time. We were seated at a round table, an older lady came by with a menu and quickly left. The whole time we were there we had to constantly hunt down someone who can take our order or answer any questions we had. I get being busy, but the service was ridiculous. Between our first round and the second round, they had to refill our broth base TWICE because nobody came back to take our order and we had to find someone. By that time, we quickly lost our appetite in between. The food is okay, nothing note worthy. The hot food bar was limited to the basics: chowmein, fried rice, walnut shrimp, etc. The chowmein noodles were cold. We got miso as our base and it was decent. The cut meat was okay as well.To top it off, they add an automatic tip that you can't choose. They charged us the weekend price even though we went on a weekday. The place is too expensive for the poor service and food you get. Don't let these reviews fool you, do not recommend at all. Will never come back.

This is the 1st time I'm giving a 5 star to a restaurant because of the outstanding and friendly service by Freya and Eric. It was our first time going to the restaurant and Freya patiently explained the menu and different part of the restaurant to get cold and hot already made food. And explained how to order the hot pot items as well. Beef and lamb skewers and duck wrap also included in the all you can eat price. The restaurant was pretty empty in a Tuesday for lunch. It was clean and the bathroom as well.

Love the service there: for AYCE, the servers always come check on me. Which is a huge perk.I lieve their lamb skewers and the duck wraps.Ambiance is nice, comfy seats and not smelly of hot pot smell. Food wwas delicious, would come again.

First time trying the AYCE hot pot that includes Peking duck and skewers on the menu at Top Pot in Dublin, in the same plaza as Ranch 99. No wait on the weekend, and they charge $35.99 with the sauce bar included. They also offer a variety of cold dishes next to the sauce bar. Ambiance is causal. You start by choosing the broth for your hot pot, with an additional $5 charge if you want a second broth. I chose bone broth and spicy broth. The service is quick and courteous, and the meat quality is excellent. Drinks aren't included in the price. Loved everything, especially the sweet watermelon slices. I wish we could have eaten more!

Winter is here and hotpots are the best option for cold weather dining. Pacific Pearl has been a favorite spot for asian cuisine and Top Pot is one place we haven't tried. Place was busy, always a good sign. It is an Eat all you can establishment so bring your appetite. Get a seat, get your sauces at the sauce bar and they will take your meat and veggie orders and soup base of choice. Worth the price if you eat a lot (as much as any buffet) all in all a great experience. Service was great as well.

Absolutely my favorite Top Pot in this part of town. The wait times are low or non-existent during the times we like to eat. Substantial portions of any of the foods that you order, and they are fresh. The size of the pots are large and can accommodate a lot of food. They can fit small and large groups easily, too. We once had a group of 14 and we were able to sit together! Yay!Minus one star for two specific reasons: They're the most expensive hot pot in this part of town, and I wish they would always turn on the vents on top of any active table.

Initially we put our name in for Mumu hotpot but the wait was 1 hour so we decided to try Top Pot. You can only get AYCE here and the cost is $35.99/person on Friday/Sat/Sun. They advertise the Peking duck as well which was what caught my eye. Realistically it's not AYCE because they are short staffed. The food took really long to come out and we had to flag ltrly 4 different waiters MULTIPLE times throughout the night and even get up ourselves MULTIPLE times to tell them we did not receive the various items that we ordered. It took so long that we gave up and did not get our moneys worth. We asked for specifically the shrimp and Peking duck many many times. We each got one serving (so again, not AYCE) and it didn't come until we were practically done with our meal. We would've definitely have been done with our meal if we weren't waiting on the shrimp. At least you have to cook and prepare the Peking duck, the shrimps came FROZEN like a rock. Still had ice all over them. So what took so long? & They forgot some items that we ordered like the pork kidney, quail eggs, etc. and we didn't want to wait anymore. The food and the broth weren't even particularly good or any different so I likely won't be returning. The staff is very busy though and rushing around constantly. The owner needs to hire more people.

We love coming to this place the food is fantastic and the service is on point....but after seeing this I'm not 100% how clean this establishment is. My husband and I are waiting for this place to open and we see a couple men cleaning the restaurant which is totally normal! Then we saw one man with glasses walking that dog while smoking a cigarette walk into the restaurant with the dog and the dog was just going in and out of the restaurant.I know for a fact if your dog is not a service dog you cannot have animal in a food establishment. Now I'm thinking how clean is this place and how clean is the food. We went somewhere else to eat
