Downside: still cash only. Happy hour still exists from 2:30 pm-6:00 pm daily. Service is good if you can have casual conversations in Cantonese or Mandarin. Feels like 1-2 people running the place, so give them credit for such a small place. Menu variety is good. I am always able to spark up conversations with the lady cashier. Visited several times in the past 15 years, but not in recent pandemic years. Same old place. This tiny Hong Kong local cafe gets bad ratings, but note that it's still a very old/not updated place. Foods are still delicious and definitely cheap Hong Kong style. Yes, tiny spot next to a jewelry store. It's been here forever/same Koi Palace plaza. Expect old feeling. Ordered happy hour baked mini shredded chicken and cream corn with rice just under $11. Yummy. Perfect in taste. You can pick a beverage to pair with your happy hour meal set. My iced lemon tea was legit in flavor with lots of lemon slices in it. Nice. Note, if you ask for red bean iced beverage, it's usually unavailable even though it's on the menu. Quiet and empty inside during early happy hour/mid afternoon. Lady cashier has been here forever. I never asked if she was the boss or relative to the place, but she's good at what she does. It's just her at the counter serving you. Still, I had a good feeling sitting inside today. In addition, I ordered takeout foods: club sandwiches comes with french fries plus ketchup, and then added the chicken steak rice meal. Wow, look at all that generous amount of sauce on top for my chicken steak. Absolutely generous and good tasting. I'm always in the mood for Hong Kong style club sandwiches too/will enjoy it tomorrow. I used to buy takeout foods, the three entrees with soup/rice years ago from here. They still have it on the menu. I enjoy dining out for good flavor foods. This place is authentic. If you have never been to Hong Kong before, you'll probably dislike some of the items here or may feel a bit uncomfortable sitting inside this old tiny cafe. Overall, decent place. One person serving everyone is a lot of work, especially with phone calls and online orders at once. I'm a happy lemon coming here.

Made a DoorDash pickup order for Pork with Pork Blood Congee. When I picked up my food saw this note on my order. Why didn't they call me up tell me they were out of pork blood. Why didn't they tell me face to face that they changed my order. Our places would have call me to tell me they were out of pork blood. Did have the energy to argue them.

Haven't been here in ages. Right when we sat down, she pointed to the cash only sign and reminded us that's cash only. Since we haven't visited in a long time, I didn't see an afternoon tea menu so I asked if they still have one, then she went and grabbed us another menu with a better value- afternoon menu. This was a bit odd to me as we walked in right around 3pm ish so it's Hk tea time.We tried the pork cutlet with rice, hot lemons tea and the baked pork chop rice. Both were decent for the price of $12 including a drink. Our total came out to be $24 for 2 afternoon tea set. The lady was a bit rude as we haven't asked for the check but she put it down really close to my food that I had to move it out of the way. The cold milk tea was pretty authentic in a way that the black tea flavor was strong, however, it was a bit too sweet for me. Food came out quickly and parking was easy on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm.

Have not been here for ages, so a nostalgic visit but was totally surprised that it is still CSAH ONLY post pandemic! We were warned of cash only again before we sat down. The waitress has been there forever, still speaks the broken Cantonese. She's nice and does her job, I just don't like how every time she delivers something there's food spilled onto our tissues. We ordered the classic baked pork chop rice with tomato sauce, tried the Aberdeen seafood fried rice (they use the American style imitation crab meat, not good), and sweet and sour pork chop rice which is a plate with lots of white rice and the dish of sweet and sour pork chop itself. The complementary Russel soup is getting worse. It's spicy but I can't find a single trace of black pepper, so I'm guessing they just squeeze the spicy sauce in the soup to add in the color and the peppery flavor. A set meal with baked dish, free soup and a free drink is 18.50. The free drink has choices like milk tea, soda, red bean milkshake drink and ginger honey. If you are into HongKong style cafe, the Top Cafe in Cupertino at least let you use credit card.

I see why this place got three star rating. One major negative about my experience. Here is that they only accept cash or Venmo. Thank God they had Venmo at least... Who nowadays carry cash? It's obvious this restaurant is a "mom and Pop" business. There was only one person taking the order and serving the food. I expected nothing less than mediocre customer service. I guess it's a typical customer service at these restaurants in this area. The food is good and the price is reasonable but as previously stated, cash, only... In my book... Add a negative star rating to my review.Service: aQuality: aPrice: a.

I recently bought take out from Top Cafe in Milpitas. The lady in the store was very friendly and she recommended that I ordered the three items for $34.95. I picked their spicy salty fried pork chop, beef with Chinese broccoli, and tofu with assorted greens in a clay pot (no clay pot for take out). The deal also included soup. I also ordered a beef chow fun.The $34.95 menu is now available all day and is a really good value. The food tasted good, nothing spectacular but solid. The service was fast and efficient. For Cantonese cafe style comfort food, this is a very good option.

3.5 stars Atmosphere: car seat booths by the walls and 4 tops in the middle. Unrenovated probably since the 90s, but clean. Strangely there's American pop playing in the background, usually expect some Asian pop in HK cafes such as these. Menu: pretty straightforward, but lots of choices so it can be hard to choose. Prices are a bit on the higher side but portions are huge. Food: came in for Sunday lunch. Empty in person dining, there were a couple more pickup to-go orders instead. I liked how the Portuguese dish has a more roasted coconut flake flavor and it was saucy and creamy enough to mix with each bite. The garlic steak was humongous portion, enough to bring some home. Each dish came with HK cafe style borscht soup, but found that the paprika white pepper powder flavor to be overpowering.

I was a little concerned about the ratings before going here but I went anyway because I was craving baked pork chop rice and bolognese spaghetti. I read other reviews touting their baked seafood dish and I ended up adding that to my order. This is a no frills joint with efficient service and solid food. I ordered all of the above and it was just the comfort food that I needed. It is CASH ONLY which would be the only downside I see...not really sure who actually Carrie's around cash these days.

It's tradition to go here with my broski after we get haircuts nearby! It just doesn't hit the same without going here and ordering a baked seafood fried rice!I don't speak Chinese, but my friend has known the staff since his young Chinese school days! We always hit the place up when it's quiet and easy to get seated. We always make jokes about burning our mouth with the food, but don't do the same- it does actually incinerate the inside of your mouth, that's not a joke.I haven't tried anything else basically, but the complimentary borscht and the milk tea make wonderful and comforting additions to this place's meals.I always long for Top Cafe in the rainy days where my fingers are always cold, no matter how much I rub them together. I wish you were closer, like a family member that lives far away.
