Tommy Thai restaurant has been around for ages, and in a time when so many places start out strong but fizzle out, it's nice to have a few trusted spots to rely on. I think we've only dined in once or twice, but we've ordered takeout countless times over the years.We recently ordered via DoorDash and enjoyed the food for a couple of days - yes, the portions are that generous - so I figured it was time to give them the recognition they deserve. This place is always in our top five when we're not feeling adventurous and just want something we know will hit the spot.Their Pad Kee Mow, Pad Thai, Rad Na, fried rice, and soups are all excellent. But the one dish we never skip? The Butter Garlic Noodles. Soft noodles with just the right amount of sauce - this was a staple for us years ago, and now my kid loves it too. They also have some great Cambodian options.If you're in the Mountain View area and craving Thai food that won't disappoint, this is a solid choice.

A good casual spot in South Bay! I've only really gotten takeout from this place simply because they're so fast. The employees are efficient with getting your orders out, but occasionally someone won't be at the pick up window and you have to wait for your food. The parking lot is a bit small, so sometimes I need to street park but that's never too difficult to find.I got their Papaya Salad with medium spice, and it hit the spot! So crunchy and flavorful. The heat isn't too much that it takes away from the dish but is enough to spice up the meal. I love the big chunks of tomato that bring a burst of acidity to the meal. Would definitely recommend!

I came here late night and chose this place primarily because it was still open. The parking lot is small, but there weren't too many people inside, so it was no issue. They had a window outside for those who called in their order to pick up, but I had to go inside to see a menu. I browsed it quickly and ordered. I used their restroom while I waited, which was outside and around the corner. It wasn't the cleanest.I did not have to pay until I got my order, which I picked up from the window after a bout 10 minutes. I had no idea when my order would be ready since they didn't take my name and weren't calling out names. I took the meal back to eat in my hotel and it was still hot. There was a good amount of shrimp in my pad thai, but the shrimp tempura was a bit soggy. The spice level of 3 (out of 5) I requested on my noodles was perfect and these were good cold the next day.

Came here on a Saturday evening, got seated right away. Friendly and attentive staff. Love the ambience, clean and spacious. Food was delicious and large portions! Will def be back!

Another fanTHAIstic food experience today. Delicious Thai Plates at reasonable prices. The Pad Thai is saucy and rich. They are generous with the meat toppings too. The Fried Tofu is a good portion for sharing. It has plain taste and will need the sauce on the side for flavor. We ordered the Tom Kha, but I feel we got Tom Yum. It was good and loaded with seafood so we didn't bother to check. But we have to verify next time when we're not in a rush. The place is set up felt old school, but decent. I like that they have booth seating, more comfortable. The service is fast and food is out at the right time. Will totally come back to try the other plates.

I thought the food here was absolutely amazing! Each dish was so tasty and so flavorful! The service here was also pretty good, they greeted us right away and also took our order and our food came pretty fast. The environment is very cozy, feels like a relatively smaller restaurant, I was able to get seating here on a Saturday without having to wait! There was also a very long line of delivery drivers waiting to pick up orders so it definitely means that this place is very delicious!!

I had their delivery from Uber. They cheated me out of a side order and served a disgusting curry. I shall never taste their food again.

Very yummy food green curry not spicy.I love it.and shop very clean has some music.parking behind.we will be back

Surprisingly not good. Pineapple fried rice looked like Spanish rice and did not have the texture, taste, and quality you expect at a restaurant. Pad kee mow was just sad. Too greasy and weird flavor. I'm used to smoky, hard-hitting garlic flavors for this dish and it was definitely lacking. At least it isn't TOO expensive and the food is edible, but I didn't even keep the leftovers.
