I was really craving' a steak & shrimp burrito, they made it happen at a little extra cost well worth it, the service is great as always, the ambiance is laid back and peaceful , I like highly recommend this place but you already know, they are the best in Oakland hands down

So I came here twice the first time the taquito (flauntas) were fine. Little crispy but ok .. my partner enjoyed his burrito I came here. Second time and ordered enchilada tacos and burrito for a few people.. and this experience was not as swell.. the flavor of the enchilada were very basic and the tacos toppings were served separately the steak was very fatty .. the chicken was fresh There was a spoiled smell inside which should have been telling .. I would probably only order the flauntas in the future

I can't tell you how many times I've driven by this place and not given it a second look. It is the definition of tucked. The signage on the place is super minimal. For years, I've heard of my uncle and other extended family members talking about eating here. After a very disappointing day trying to catch a glimpse of the Blue Angels, we trudged back to Oakland in search of some grub. The typical question: where should we go eat? Seafood is always a win in my book, so we made our way to Tijuana's because it was relatively close to Jack London in comparison to other seafood places we like. We parked in a private lot between the restaurant and the tire shop on the opposite corner. The hostess seated us in the main seating area, bending the corner to the right beyond the main entry. The front seemed like it was a prep/to-go area with only a few chairs to sit in while you wait. Anywho, we sat down in a table of four for our group of three. My son had a burger with fries and my dining partner and I split the large "mariscada" aka mixed seafood platter. I also ordered two sopes a la carte. The sopes tastes just like my moms! Thin and crispy, not doughy and undercooked, just how I like them. The steak was well seasoned and thoroughly cooked, no pink for me! The salsa was definitely homemade tasting, none of that canned stuff. Now, the mariscada I ordered was flavored "Al ajillo" which means with garlic and boy did it have garlic! Lots of sliced garlic cloves with a dash of lime to contrast the bite of the garlic. I really enjoyed the large segments in comparison to the "mojo de ajo" which is more like a scampi sauce. The seafood was amazing with all components perfectly cooked and seasoned. To my surprise they used the large scallops instead of the small one. I would have like to see a little more shrimp but overall a good mix of octopus, clams, shrimp, scallops, mussels and a few crab claws. We also ordered two aguas frescas, horchata and hibiscus/jamaica. I had a michelada which was pretty good. It would have been a tad better if it didn't have the lemon concentrate but it wasn't overly bitter like at other places. I would definitely come back here. Just make sure to sign the receipt (even though it says signature not necessary) if you leave a tip or a else the servers won't get it per the restaurant policy. Our server had to chase us to our car to make sure we signed and I felt awful but she was super sweet about explaining why. Come by and check it out!!

I eat here with my mother all the time and they serve amazing food but I should have checked my TOGO before I left. I never had to do this before cause this never happened once. I PAID 16$ for this?!?! I don't think so. Good to know how they treat loyal customer. La cagada!

Caldo de Chile Relleno! Yes! You heard me...Chile Relleno Soup is served at this Mexican restaurant. My mom used to make it this way. It was good. The broth was taste and served with Homemade Corn tortillas (super soft) The place is not upscale at Allan's the outside curb appeal is not nice at all but the Caldos are popular here. I'd come back again for the Caldo de Chile a Relleno Soup.

Incredible enchiladas. The verde sauce is my favorite. The rice isn't vegetarian but the refried beans are! They will give you a nice side salad instead of rice.

The worst restaurant I've been too in my life. We were in the bay after 20 years. I remember my mom would take us for the mariscada. The prices are way over exaggerated, I understand things have go up but 35 for an Aguachile. That is ridiculous. Most places is at $20-25. The place is old and nasty and hasn't been re touched at all in 20 years. Very dissapointed. The server was great but definitely will never go back.

Good service, BUT, I don't know if it's a new cook or they switched food vendors but the fryed fish was not good and they changed the shrimp in their ceviche , they need to go back to their old ways of cooking, I don't mind paying extra but I want them to cook like it was before
