One of my go to's for Banh Mi. They make the Ba Chi the best and is the only place I have seen that makes their Ba Chi like this. It is really tender and savory. I used to get Thit Nguoi all the time but after having Ba Chi here, it is my new go to. The service is quite fine. It is what you expect from a fast order and go sandwich shop. The interior is nice enough and there is some small seating. There is a Trung Nguyen Legends Coffee attached to it so you could get some coffee with your food. It is a separate company though so they do have to make the transaction separate, keep that in mind.

I wasn't happy about having to make 3 separate transactions for ALL MY ORDERS, they were separated and done in different transactions. A bit of an inconvenience...not the workers fault, so I hope the business owner fixes this. Sandwich is good, I would recommend getting veggies on the side because it made the bread soggy by the time I was able to eat it 4 hours later for lunch break. I like that they serve Trung Nguyen Legend coffees here, have been wanting to try it, I ordered the coffee with coconut cream ($9.50+tax), the price would throw off a lot of people and tbh, I was taken back as well because it's a regular (Starbucks grande cup size) size cup. Probably wouldn't spend this much on coffee again unless someone ask me if I want TNL coffees. Quiet location, good for study or gathering if this is your kind of vibe.

What the heck happened here? I came here a couple times before COVID and thought the banh mi was super yummy. I haven't came here in years and tried this place again recently. Let's just say that I'm super disappointed. This is EASILY the worst banh mi I've ever had. For the Viets who know, even your broke meal (cha lua with Maggi sauce in a baguette) tastes way better than this). Never coming back here again.

Great job remodeling this place! I love that there are many seats now, so you can enjoy your meal here. Every time we come here I order #1. Bbq Pork Banh Mi. Sweet and tender meat with veggies. It feels healthier than a burger from McDonald's or In N Out, but they probably both have an insane amount of calories. At least with the banh mi, it's high in protein. Plus, I read somewhere that it provides potassium, iron, and other nutrients to support overall health being. Cheers to that! I also like to get Vietnamese Egg Coffee from Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee. I guess I should write a review separately, but it's in the same building as Thien Huong. It's FRUSTRATING when they ask me to pay for the sandwich and drink separately. Why can't they ring up both items at the same time??? They're using the same cash register! Can't they divide it later when they add up all their money? It's kind of a turn-off when you're buying lunch for someone and then you have to pay for the drink. I'd be like, "Pay for your drink, dude. I don't want to have to swipe my card again." Whatever, I guess the Bahn Mi and the drinks are worth it to deal with it. The food is good, but the service has been lacking a few times. Like today, we waited so long for our Bahn Mi. There were a lot of people waiting in the lobby area. After about 20 minutes, my man finally got up and checked. He noticed it was just sitting on the counter. Geez! We wondered how long it was sitting there. They knew we were sitting in the dining area... or did they? I'm glad we got our drink right away!

There's been a renovation to the coffee/boba bar with the new collaboration (?) with Trung Nguyen Coffee. The store looks very updated and the seating area seems very comfortable and intimate. It's been a few months since I ordered banh mi from here. Today, I ordered my usual banh mi, Banh Mi Cha Lua with add on of Ba chi (Vietnamese style pork ham sandwich with add on of pork belly). The sandwich was stuffed with veggies and meat. The bread was crunchy with a hint of buttery flavor. And since they no longer make Chrysanthemum tea, the staff suggested the Tra Dao Cam Sua (Peach Orange Lemongrass Tea) and I asked for less sweet. The drink is garnished very pretty and is very refreshing. If you don't like lemon grass then you may not like this drink as the lemon grass is stronger than the citrus taste by just a tad bit but it can be an overhwelming flavor for someone who does not like lemon grass. It comes with basil seeds so no toppings is needed. However, the tea was still too sweet for me. After the ice melted, the tea tasted much better for me, personally.Service has always been good here from my experience. The staff are friendly and quick. However this place can be quite busy so best to call ahead for pick up.Note: My order was rung up separately with banh mi first then the tea. Quite an inconvenience.

Thien Huong has always been on my to try list in San Jose for banh mis, but given the location and access to the parking lot, I never wanted to stop by. But one day, I finally caved and stopped by since I saw that there was a poster outside for Vietnamese coffee. Surprisingly, the day that I decided to go try their banh mi, they were under renovation and construction for the addition of Trung Nguyen Legend. They were only serving 6 sandwiches at that time with their most popular six is my assumption. Literally the next day I came back, all the work was complete and the space was transformed on the inside! They now serve Vietnamese coffee, egg coffee, salted versions, energy version - I mean there is a massive menu here for that. The quality of the coffee is robust and smooth, you can't go wrong. However the prices are on the steep side. Make this a sit down opportunity for yourself when you stop by for the coffee experience because they really furnished the place well and it is very relaxing. You wouldn't even be able to tell that on the outside are the unhoused and smells like hot garbage. Back to the actual reason that I came by. I had the opportunity to try the #1 WHICH ISN'T YOUR CLASSIC COMBO. Imagine my shock and pleasant surprise, it was their grilled pork baguette (7.5) I also ordered the #4 pork sausage baguette (7.5). All the sandwiches run 7.5 and there are 11 options includes sardines and shredded pork/pork skin. What they don't have is your classic combo with pork sausage, but their #4 is straight up all sausages. I do love that their sandwiches come out warm and the filling they do not skimp. There is enough grilled pork for an entire vermicelli bowl if you deconstructed it and then some leftover. The pickled veggies are light and I found that refreshing. They do huge slices of cucumbers packed with cilantro! The sandwiches ordered here typically have the veggies on the side packed for to go, so you can tell them that you want it on the inside if you plan eating it right away. I do wish that they added more pate and mayo to the bread as I found it a bit dry. Overall not bad and I say based on price and portion - they are giving a lot more than Duc Huong and are not as greasy. They take care and card here and there is always parking. Insane that I never knew they opened at 5am, so if I caught myself have a banh mi craving, I'll definitely stop by. Oh and if you order coffee, it has to be a separate order. They can't do it in the same transaction as your sandwich order, but hopefully that changes with time.

This is my go to spot for a quick pick up during my lunch break. Their ban mihs are very big for a great price. I always get the combination sandwich and it tastes amazing. When you buy a drink, you get free bread with pate on it. I tried the vietnamese coffee here and it was delicious. Overall, Ambience is really modern and new. Workers are friendly and sweet. However, usually during lunch rush, it takes quite some time to get your sandwich. Make sure to place an order ahead of time. Otherwise you will be waiting for a while. Today, they made my sandwich in 5 minutes though so maybe they are getting more efficient

My co worker came in with a sandwich from here and it looked scrumptious so I needed to get a taste for myself. I was looking for the sign to the place and kept seeing tea and finally went around the corner and saw the sandwich sign. There was a bunch of people scattered along the wall so I didn't know where the line was but the lady at the register waved me down and I approached her. Very kind and took my order #1 and was patient while I quickly browsed the tea menu. I got a strawberry lychee green tea. I gave her cash thinking it was a cash only spot but they accept card (fee for use ? No idea) My tea was made quickly and I waited for my sandwich to come out. When I sat down they were at number 198 (I was 209). Their phone was ringing off the chain (better to order ahead via phone). 30+ minutes later my order was ready and I was on my way. My sandwich was delicious and the meat had a good flavor and texture. The meat portion could have been more but for the price it works. Plenty of the veggies and they were all fresh. The bun had a nice crunch and soft inside. Not the best bun I've ever had but it met the mark. It was a good clean sandwich and I got full. Also the price is unbeatable for this area. The strawberry lychee drink was sweet but overall good. Will decrease sweetness next time. Parking is crazy during lunch rush. So many customers in an out the entire time I was there. The lady who took my order was friendly and efficient. They accept card which is a plus. Definitely will call ahead to skip the 30+ minute wait.

When coming into the store, it seemed a bit run down, but I think they are just going through a remodeling process. Ordering was quick/easy and I got my banh mi relatively fast. This place accepts cash AND card, which is a plus since I know many other banh mi places only accepts cash.I got the 3. Combination Baguette and it was really good. The bread had the perfect crunch and the meat inside paired very well with the fresh ingredients. I love the butter mayonnaise they use here as it makes the banh mi explode with flavor. Definitely a great banh mi option.

Favorite banh mis in the South Bay. It's near my house and very convenient. Their bread is tasty and can hold everything in. Very filling and no skimping on the meat, definitely shareable or save the other half for another time. I'm a simple gal and just like the cha lua aka pork sausage/pork deli meat. Their grilled pork is flavorful and also their pork belly. I like how they give lots of the pickled vegetables and have the option to put vegetables on the side. They also have a really simple, yet delicious vietnamese coffee to start your day or for those lacking sleep. They also have other traditional vietnamese drinks if you're in the mood for one of those nice refreshing dessert drinks. They now have a kiosk so it's real easy to order. Wait is hit or miss depending on the time of day, but nothing longer than 15 minutes.
