There are so many things to like about The Table, including The Only Burger That Belongs on the Table. Perfectly cooked (the Impossible is great, too) and served with the usual fixings. Brunch is awesome, too. One of the best spots in WG!

We're new to the area and had never been to Willow Creek before, but it's a really charming town with a Main Street that gives off strong WASP-y vibes--think candle-making shops, farmers markets with local honey, and plenty of moms in yoga pants. We wanted a late brunch with our puppy on Saturday and came across The Table, so we decided to give it a try.Parking was easy to find in a lot along Main Street. We had a reservation and were seated on their patio, which was aesthetically very cute, with a fun, large vintage sign out front. Our server was attentive at first but dropped off toward the end of the meal, with our check taking over 20 minutes to arrive. As for the food, while we enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu selections, the execution was hit or miss. My poached egg was fully cooked through--either prepared incorrectly or left sitting in the window too long. We had ordered four dishes and said they could come out as they were ready. I was most excited about the Ortiz sardine tartine since I've been on a sardine kick lately, but the dish didn't quite come together. The flavors felt disjointed, with pickled onions overpowering everything and random cucumber disks and a halved tomato that didn't add much. The dish I was most looking forward to--the duck liver mousse--was unfortunately a disappointment. I love duck liver mousse, but here it was paired with an overly sweet compote and sauce, both plated right in the center, making it impossible to avoid. On the bright side, my husband's ceviche was excellent and looked great when it came out.Drinks were a highlight. I had the milk punch and liked it so much I ordered another. My husband's cocktails were also well-executed, and we appreciated the selection of dessert wines. The menu reads really well, and it's clear they put thought into their beverage program. We finished with coffees, which were good, and our puppy had a grilled chicken breast--easily the biggest portion of chicken I've ever seen served as a dog-friendly option. The staff was really accommodating about having him there, which we appreciated.Overall, we'd come back to try other items. The setting is lovely, the prices are reasonable, and the drinks are fantastic. We'll just stick to more straightforward dishes next time.

Came here on a saturday for bunch with no reservations around 11 and got seated right away on the patio. Was worried we wouldn't get seated bc it's brunch on the weekend but so happy we did. Service is ok, took a bit to get our order in and for refills since we couldn't find our server half the time. Food is yummy tho! Is it worth the wait mmm yes and no, if you have friends to talk and yap it up it's totally fine but I was hungry and it felt like a bit before getting our food even with being able to chat with friends. Got the corn beef hash and it was yummy but comes with so many potatoes. Wish there was more meat too. It's a fun spot to go for brunch and def get a reservation for a bigger party. parking is tough but found spots in the back parking lot!

We were excited to check out The Table as we have tried several restaurants in downtown Willow Glen but not The Table. It's always so busy and have friends who rave about it. We decided to make a reservation for Christmas Eve so that we could do our annual Willow Glen Holiday Lights. When we arrived at 5, we got seated at a table right by the door and right by the hostess stand. The dining room was almost empty. The couple before us did not have a reservation but somehow were able to get the best table in the room. 4 person table right in a private corner. We, who had made reservations a week in advance, were seated in a two person shitty spot that had everyone either walking past our table or standing by us. Our waiter was great. We had no problems with service. And the ambiance was nice. The pacing of our food was perfect. The bread with the whipped ricotta was very good. Why don't we always have whipped ricotta instead of butter? The ricotta needed some salt though. The carrot salad was kind of underwhelming to me. If you got everything on one bite, it was tasty. But I was disappointed.I was going to get the bolognese as my friend recommended but they mentioned salmon as a special and I can't say no to salmon. When it arrived, I first thought the salmon was cooked well. I noticed the skin wasn't really crispy but I started eating it. It had no flavor but the texture was okay. The soubise was odd--very sweet. As I ate the salmon, I started realizing it wasn't cooked--basically raw. But at that point, I had eaten more than half of the salmon so I didn't want to complain. I was hoping the waiter would notice when he picked up my plate but I guess not. Overall, I was unimpressed with The Table. I found all of the food to be very bland. I eat a lot of salmon at restaurants and I've never had one that was so undercooked that I couldn't finish it.Will we return to try their brunch menu? I doubt it.

Table-bodiedBrainchild of local restaurateur Jim Stumps (AP Stumps, Los Gatos Brewing Company, Forthright Oyster Bar, Lamela Tavern, and The Vesper to name a few), The Table has been in operation since 2012 and serves up elevated American fare that features a seasonal farm-to-table menu. Easily one of the most vaunted and recognized restaurants in the South Bay, both for their popularity with local foodies and that eye-catching sign on the southwest corner of DT Willow Glen's Lincoln Ave & Willow St.The Good:*Reservations available thru OpenTable and are highly recommended.*Seasonal menu *Service *Nice selection of beers on-tap and in cans, as well as a full bar with signature cocktails. They also have a massive fermented grapes collection, if that's your thing. *Were named in the 2024 Top 15 places to eat Brunch at in the South Bay by SF Eater (https://sf.eater.com/maps/best-brunch-san-jose-south-bay). *Happy Hour (Wed - Sun until 530 p.m.) w/ HH bites, as well as cocktails. *Patio dining*Great ambiance and vibe *Complimentary baguette ends was classy and delicious way to start the meal. I'm gonna start dipping my sourdough in ricotta & EVOO from now on. *We visited them on Christmas Eve and their seasonal menu featured a Prime Rib that was really delicious, as well as a fantastic cranes spinach that was superb. Was it $60 good, tho? Debatable, but at least it was tasty. *Roasted Carrot Salad was tasty and when you ate all the elements together it made for a delicious bite. My only qualm was it was a bit underdressed for my liking, but that might be a personal preference. The Meh:*Winter Citrus Cake dessert was a little underwhelming. Sure it was a pretty good poundcake, but I'm not paying $12 for a slice of "pretty good poundcake"--I want those extra calories to be #worthit*I definitely ordered my draft beer well-before the 530 HH deadline and didn't get the discounted rate. Now I could give two fucks about the $1, but it's more the principle of the situation. *Small private lot on Willow St, but you'll most likely have to find (free) street parking or park in the (also free) garage. The Ugly:*Carissa's Salmon entrée was seriously undercooked in the middle--and we're both more than OK with med-rare salmon, but this was btwn raw and just barely cooked which is pretty much no man's land tbh. We would've said something but she started at the thin end and by the time she got to the severely undercooked part she had already eaten about half, and it felt weird to ask at that point. Ww were hoping the waiter would notice when he retrieved the plate, but nope. Looking back now at the photos you could see the opaqueness of meat in the thick part, and any chef worth their salt should've noticed it before sending it out. Conclusion: Overall, the food was passable, but when one factors in the pricing it's not making a compelling case for anything above 3-stars.

We visited on a surprisingly sunny winter morning and chose to sit on the patio. Despite how busy it usually is, we were seated right away and had a fantastic brunch experience. My husband ordered the burger, which absolutely lived up to the hype and its name --it's truly the only burger worthy of being on or at The Table. My son's palate has expanded and he enjoyed the crab avocado toast, and I went for the seasonal crab Benedict special. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. This crab cake benny, with its unique kimchi hollandaise, was the undeniable star of the meal. Who knew something so unexpected could be so delicious?Everything was excellent, and we'll absolutely be back. It's no surprise this spot always has a wait--totally worth it!

When I think of brunch, I immediately think of an eggs benedict with some smoked salmon. However after looking at the menu, I was intrigued by the many options available! What we ordered:Fried Chicken Steak: (Rating: 4/5)The panko crust was absolutely crispy on the outside and the chicken was very juicy. The sauce was delicious and it tasted similar to a baked potato soup! The dish itself was stunning, however, I'd prefer the sauce on the side in the future to prevent a soggy crust.Corned Beef Hash: (Rating: 4/5)The corned beef was tender and well seasoned. The potatoes were fork tender as well which was delightful paired together with the runny egg!Tuna Sandwich: (Rating: 4/5)You could never go wrong with a classic tuna sandwich. The tuna salad itself was packed with flavor and veggies which I love. It wasn't overly creamy nor dry which is a plus!Overall, this is a wonderful spot for brunch and I would definitely dine here again!

"The Table" restaurant in San Jose is nestled in a prime location, making it a great spot for a relaxing meal. For brunch, I opted for the seasonal vegetable egg white frittata, paired with a feta cheese and arugula salad topped with a refreshing lime vinaigrette. As someone who is particularly particular about eggs, I appreciate a perfectly cooked egg with no brown marks, and I must say, The Table truly knows how to handle eggs. The frittata was not only delicious but also left me feeling healthy and satisfied.Despite visiting on a weekday, the restaurant was quite busy, so I would recommend making a reservation in advance. Our server was a delight; she took the time to thoroughly explain the menu and the specials, ensuring we had a great dining experience. My only concern was the spacing between tables--it felt a bit cramped, as though there were too many chairs in a small area. While the atmosphere was lively, it did make the space feel a bit less comfortable.Overall, I had a wonderful brunch!
