So I'm the annoying customer that comes in last minute because the menu looked so good and technically there was a few minutes left. Each time the sandwich is amazing. From the board or building my own and its so fun to be inside, it's quick, it's honest. There's a table that is like a pac man machine and you can tell it's specific to Oakland. I enjoy the Focaccia the most! I would try it again and again and again.

Bomb.com Got The Saint and... all I can say is it hit spots I didn't even know I had. The vibes inside are chill too with great tunes. Would definitely recommend anyone getting a sandwich stop in and eat. And the guys behind the counter were extremely helpful!

Really big sandwiches! Worth it if you are craving a sandwich and too lazy to make one. The saint was delicious and the workers move fast! Small place, seating is kind of cramped. Street parking is doable and not too difficult.

Go eat these amazing sandwiches! They're huge and absolutely delicious. I just finished half of their Chipotle Cubano special and decided the very next thing I needed to do was give these guys 5 stars. Great local business that makes incredible food. Happy to support The Saint!

Just tried this place for the first time for lunch this afternoon. I love how unique their sandwiches are so when I was looking through their menu, the curry chicken sandwich immediately caught my eye. I ordered it to go and I have to say, it's everything I thought it would be. I wish the sandwich bread they used was a roll so it would be easier to eat but other than that little gripe, I would happily eat here again. They also have unique chips to choose from to pair with your sandwich! I was in and out with my order in less than 10 minutes. Definitely give this place a try if you're craving sandwiches!

Came for lunch and ordered their special and Saint Francis. The portions are huge and I could've just shared with the hubby. We also grabbed a chipotle pasta side it had a good kick. Will definitely come back to try other sandwiches. I'd recommend if you can eat it there or shortly after getting it because they do get soggy but still yummy sandwiches

Nut allergy friendly - I put a note on GrubHub and everything turned out fine. Review is for take-out via GrubHub, which estimated a 30 minute wait on a Sunday afternoon. It seemed accurate and my order was ready when I arrived.I ordered "The Bay" as it was highlighted as a popular option. It is exactly as described with turkey, roast beef, yellow cheddar, and vegetables in a sesame roll. The meat was sliced thin and it was a pretty hefty sandwich. I'd say it's more expensive than I would normally pay for a sandwich and as a deli the portions are interestingly right between "not enough" and "too much." I split the sandwich with a friend for lunch and I could've eaten more afterwards, but I don't think I could've finished another half of a sandwich. Maybe with some chips or a drink it would have been perfect. Anyway, don't be afraid of the price tag as the sandwich could easily be two portions!

I discovered this amazing place via Door Dash. I ordered the Saint and was absolutely blown away! Everything about it was perfection. Super fresh bread and meat sliced paper thin, with picked red onions and the best sauce. Literally one of the best sandwiches I've ever had

Absolutely delicious sandwiches. We had the bird (Turkey bacon sandwich.. so good). You can create your own sandwich or order from their set menu. Excellent staff and cute small shop with indoor and outdoor seating.

We decided to try two sandwiches from this spot for delivery: The Saint and The Bird. Overall, the sandwiches were pretty good, but there's definitely room for improvement. First, the positives: the bread on both sandwiches was fresh and delicious, which is always a win in my book. There's nothing worse than biting into a sandwich with stale bread, so I was happy with that. The veggies and meat also tasted fresh and high-quality. That said, both sandwiches felt like they were missing something--specifically, salt and pepper. A little seasoning could have elevated the flavors significantly. Now, onto the specifics: The Saint had a mysterious liquid (possibly vinaigrette) that made the sandwich overly wet. I'm not sure what it was, but it kind of took away from the texture. I'd recommend removing it. Also, the pickled red onions didn't add much flavor, which was a bit disappointing. If substitutions are allowed, I'd swap them out for raw red onions to give the sandwich that sharp, oniony kick it needed.
