I grew up eating clay pot rice in Hong Kong so I know how it's supposed to taste like. I ordered a pork ribs clay pot rice and the pork ribs were nasty, it was just some stale mushy ribs with unflavorful bland black beans marinates. So random they also put some broccoli in it.The only saving grace was the chicken soup, it was delicious.

A counter-service restaurant serving claypot-style rice in paper bowls (weird)We had a half-and-half rice bowl with roasted duck and Chinese sausage. We also ordered the mushroom chicken. Overall the meats were delicious but it's too much rice compared to the meats. Also there's no wok hei due to not serving it in clay pot.The packet sauce and their house chilies were good.

Go here for claypot rice! I recommend getting the half and half preserved meat and pork ribs. The rice is toasted and has a nice crunch, and the soy sauce and spicy sauce is delicious.

This is a counter service restuarant that serves claypot styled rice bowls in plastic bowls whether you eat in store or not. I would recommend ordering online beforehand.I got a half and half rice with chicken and pork ribs. Their meats had good flavor but the meat to rice ratio is like 85% rice so I had about half of the rice left over when I was done. Although it's claypot rice, I'm not sure if this bowl of mostly plain white rice is worth the $18.50 price personally. They have plenty of tables for seating but it seems like most people just order online to go and those to do dine in store are mostly parties of 1. Overall, this could be a decent option for a group looking for a casual meal. There's also some outdoor seating in the plaza.

The rice house is a claypot rice restaurant but they don't actually give u a clay pit they only cook it and serve it in plastic to go bowls.Lots of ppl just order online and get delivery as not many ppl typically dine in.But if you do dine in, there's plenty of seating and lots of room with DIY water and stuff. Order and pay first st the register Overall food was okay, definitely needed to eat it with their sauce packet. Would recommend their half and half to try different things out.

DoorDash order, so only comment on the food this time. The soup is delicious and good portion. Totally the traditional canton style soup. The rice dish is the issue. Both the spare ribs and chicken clay pot rice have broken bones. Be careful when you chew on the food.

Tried this restaurant because of the good reviews, but was not impressed. Ordered spareribs and rice bowl to go, minimal amount of spareribs and really lacks flavor and mostly bones, the sauce packet they give you over the rice was the best part. Definitely not worth the price, maybe if they give more spareribs it might be worth it. Probably won't return, great idea, but terrible presentation.

!!!CASH ONLY OR VENMO ONLY!!!It quite embarrassed us to download Venmo and pay the bills. And finally we have to Zelle the restaurant.Arrived around 7 PM and it takes a solid half hour before we got the food served. I think they're quite busy with takeout orders. There are roughly 10 tables inside and almost nothing is served. Indeed, I don't think they charged with tips. And it's quite noisy as it's closed to the kitchen.Food is actually tasty and very authentic flavor either the clay pot rice or the chicken with dried mushrooms. Chicken is very good and tender. Many customers are Cantonese speakers 街坊 so you can trust their food quality.I will deduct one star on the service: I think the waitress speaks Cantonese and talk to other customers in Cantonese. Obviously I can understand. But, when we order using Mandarin, she immediately switched to English and left us feeling awkward.

When they bought out the rice in paper bowl in 15 minutes, I was suspicious if there would be any crispy rice at the bottom. Surprisingly, it's like a real clay pot rice cooked for 30 minutes - all the rice are the bottom are crispy. I don't know how they did that. And for 15 dollars, the price is good. And the rice (both soft crispy) and the meat tasted very good. Another good thing is that they don't ask for tip. So 15 plus tax is all I have to pay. Now a day it's hard to find to place for lunch for less than 20 dollars.
