I really wanted to get away for lunch at a quiet restaurant with a view. I found this place on Yelp. The weather was beautiful and so was the view on their patio. This place is located on an older golf course in the hills of Castro Valley. I noticed walking trails outside the perimeter of the parking lot. Must explore that next time. We had to drive around the back for parking and then enter the building that way. The bar and grill is right across from the driving range. Once inside, the bar/server gal was very friendly. You place your order with her and then she brings it out to you on the patio. Our sandwiches included a choice of either chips, fries or salad. We both chose a salad. It was $16 but all was prepared with fresh bread and ingredients. They also serve mixed drinks and beer inside. We really enjoyed sitting outside at the shaded, umbrella tables. I wish the metal chairs had cushions on them since after a short time, we were uncomfortable. A small price to pay for the beautiful views here looking out at the golf course while eating a delicious lunch! We'll be back.

Very limited and different menu than pictured. Just a collection of wings, fried stuff and standard sandwiches (some of which they were "out of") you'll forget about compared to your best drive or the decent drinks selection. For now I hope to come back later and see the cool collections of flavors other reviewers mentioned. No website, old link not secure, nobody answers the phone... Thankfully it wasn't far out of my way.

Lovely spot for lunch: the patio is peaceful with views of the golf course and Chabot park. You can watch people taking golf lessons while eating. I think some hiking trails start nearby. The food is simple but executed well. I had the brie & apple flatbread: can't go wrong with the ingredients but they took it over the top with a flavorful and crunchy bread, extra layer of cheese (in addition to the brie), fresh herbs, and a cinnamon dusting on the apples. It looked small but I was full when I finished. My boyfriend had the French dip sandwich with fries which came with the most amazing meaty dip (jus). The prices were slightly higher (around $12 for lunch) but I felt it was justified. They had six beers on tap--I remember seeing Stella Artois and Lagunitas IPA. They also seem to have a full bar. This also seems to be a nice spot for weddings--they were apparently set up for one when we were there, using the large dining area and nearby grove.

Post hike mimosas after our hike. The renovations totally updated this area. Sit outside and have a mimosa. So nice. Will be back.

Came here yesterday with my daughter and girlfriend for gf's birthday. We came mid-afternoon for late lunch/early dinner. The Meadows was perfect, and we loved it. Why? Gorgeous views of golf course from outdoor patio and delicious food. I had the Apple Cider salad; the other two had the Cali sandwich. Salad was lovely with grilled chicken and very fresh romaine, pecans, apples, and bleu cheese. Yum. The Cali was grilled chicken, melty cheese, avocado, and more. Sandwiches come w chips, fries, or salad. We also had some very nice cabernet! It was a perfect ladies' afternoon out. But guys would also appreciate the burgers and beer on tap. You order at the counter here, and the menu is somewhat limited (no dessert menu), but the server/manager was so nice, and food was quickly prepared. Be aware that they close at 4, but do open early for breakfast. Looking for a relaxing lunch venue in CV? Whether golfer or not, look no further!

Cool spot to have a bite to eat. The food was good. We will definitely go back. We were allowed to sit out on the patio with our dog while we enjoyed the jerk chicken flat bread and the loaded quesadilla. The bar offered some good beers on tap as well as so brews from local companies like Drakes. The atmosphere was comfortable, quiet(just the sound of people hitting golf balls at the driving range) and clean.

Stephanie (bartender) is warm, friendly and pours well! Food is delicious, but the best part is just the casual, welcoming atmosphere! Prices are quite reasonable too ... check it out!
