Price is what you pay, value is what you getListen, I'm not saying the food is out of this world. But it is mighty tasty and the portions are hefty. We tried the katsu curry and the hamburger steak. Both were delicious with generous portion of meat and plenty of saucy goodness. Compare to the expensive SGD tofu town next door, this place is value city. Give it a try

Food is good, large portions and also came with a side salad. Not my go to place for katsu curry but satisfies the craving. Plenty of seating area as it's inside the Hmart food court.

Inside H Mart's dining hall, this place is a hole in the wall look which is hard to be matching its name "fusion". But their food is pretty good value and taste. The hambak combo comes with rice, salad, a thick piece of hamburger steak and an egg on top with sprinkled cheese, and a cup of curry. There's not much inside the curry, just a few small pieces of soft veggie, but the flavor is ok. The hamburger steak is thick! I don't like the stinky cheese on top of the egg, otherwise it's a good comfort meat.The fish udon comes in a big bowl and aroma of the dashi soup. Though it's not the healthiest ingredients it came with a variety kinds of fish balls. The cold summer only soba is great. It literally has ice cubes in the bowl and the soba is bouncy and sweet. the combo also comes with a plate of katsu. Overall a good meal with good variety and portions.

Lucky to find out this place! Now it is my go to place for the authentic Korean style Hambak steak bento! Excellent service for the quality food at a very reasonable price. Yum!

Been curious about trying the hambak. We have tried the katsu curry and it's very good. This time I ordered the Hambak. It is served on a sizzling plate so it's super hot. Yes I burned my tongue because I was too impatient. The sauce is on the sweet side. Loved the melted cheese but didn't love the flavorless beef. Happy that I finally got to try it so that I don't have to wonder about it anymore. I will probably stick with the curry going forward.

The quality of the curry isn't always consistent, but it's a good on-the-go meal after a day's worth of grocery shopping as this is located in H Mart.

Food stall in H-mart. We went because of the good reviews but honestly was disappointed. The curry was a little too thin for me and too sweet. Generous on the chicken and the rice so it was very filling.

3.5 stars but rounding up for their delicious mushroom sauce. Located in the food court of H Mart, you'll have to go inside the grocery store and go to the left hand side to find The Hambak. I placed my order at 4:45pm on a Thursday, and it was ready in about 15 minutes. They were already out of their regular California rolls by that time, but the tobiko version (slightly more expensive) were still available. It was super flavorful, but on the rich/creamy side, so avoid if you're looking for healthy food. The hamburger steak itself was a little dry, probably slightly overcooked, but it was solid with the sauce, egg, and rice. The tonkatsu was really flavorful on its own, and I liked the subtle sweetness. It was very slightly dry/overfried, but still really good. They didn't serve this with a side of tonkatsu sauce- not sure if it was missed for my order, but worth checking. I used some of the mushroom sauce from hamburger plate and also ate some pieces on its own. I like my crab salad to be mixed in with a good amount of Kewpie, and this version was pretty dry. I would only recommend ordering this if you're really craving a California roll.This was a solid experience overall- I will be back for more of their mushroom sauce, and also to try their other dishes. Their staff were still wearing masks despite the mandate being lifted, and they had hand sanitizer. Indoor seating was available in the H Mart food court, but I did not see outdoor seating. There was parking in this lot, but it can get busy/crowded.

Craving of the day: katsu curry, Japanese style! My friend and I were on the hunt for a lunch spot that would serve this dish. Many other places were closed due to lunch break hours. After searching, we re-discovered this place through Yelp. We hadn't visited here for the past few years. Rushed over on a weekday right before they closed for lunch at 2:30. I ordered the original hamburg steak with the classic (demi-glaze) sauce, and it also came with a side of curry sauce. My friend got the katsu curry. Both came with a small side salad. The portions were quite large and very filling. Food was pretty good. I would like to try the mushroom cream sauce hamburg steak next time. Highly recommend, as there are not many places that offer hamburg steak in the area. I will definitely be returning.

Huge portions here, could have definitely shared. My seafood udon came with a verity of fish cakes, muscles, and clams. Udon noodles it self was perfectly cook, nice and bouncy. Was on the bland side so had to ask for soy sauce and hot sauce. A lot of small broken mussel shells that I had to pick out so that wasn't very fun. Curry was great tho! Much sweeter then your typical Japanese curry but the star of the curry was the chicken. It had an unexpected sweet soy glaze that was great!
