Taqueria Mar Y Tierra

Mar Y Tierra is the closest to Mexican comfort food I have found in The Bay. When you step inside, you're greeted with friendly faces, amazing smells, and futbol on T.V. Good sign. I usually judge a spot on what they promote. If a spot is called Mar Y Tierra, I'm gunning for the Menudo and Camaron. It did not disappoint. The menudo tasted like Summer Vacation Sunday mornings after a sleepover at my best friend's house. I'm Filipino. Him and his family were from Guadalajara. Every Sunday they'd make Menudo Rojo and this is the closest to that recipe I've ever had.The Camaron tostada and beer brought me back to Mazatlan. Freshly made, perfectly balanced. FUN. I can't say enough good things about Taqueria Mar Y Tierra. I'll be sure to go back.

Came here for lunch. Big, beat up parking lot. I had the Carnitas regular burrito and it was fine. Pretty routine Mexican restaurant. Service was fine.I would eat here again.

I have had the flu and haven't been able to enjoy much food for the last 4 days. Feeling better I decided I wanted Mojarra Frita and Caldo. I have my go to places around Hayward for specific things but I haven't found one for Caldo. I walked in 20 minutes before closing and ordered the Mojarra and Fish soup. A gentleman was cleaning but kindly took a break to greet me and assist. He was so kind and friendly, especially since I walked in late. My food had taken the proper amount of time and was still cooked with care although I was the last guest. The mojarra was good and the soup was delicious! I have a new go to and will definitely return with friends! Thank you for your hospitality!

We came here on a weekend night and there were a lot of people trickling in during our time there.The only booth we wanted to sit at still needed to be wiped down. The staff member saw that we were eyeing that table and offered to wipe it down for us. However, the smell of the old rag and bleach did not sit well in our stomachs and we felt a little sick after she wiped down the table.We ordered a plate of enchiladas and a plate of beef flank called bistek Mexicans. The enchiladas had very little flavor (both the meat and sauce were not cutting it) while the bistek was far too spicy that my partner couldn't finish his dish. We aren't sure if we would be in a rush to come back. But the customer service here was great.

Last night my fam and I went here for our burrito fix and I tried the asada burrito for the first time and omg it was SO GOOD!!! I think I found my go-to burrito spot tbh! The ambiance was so nice! They had music playing, the service was great too! It was too good I forgot to take a picture but I got y'all next time

Small place but very welcoming staff, they have you sit wherever you want, right away gave us complimentary chips and salsa and also got our drink and entree order. We ordered steak fries with no pico, shrimp cocktail and a asada wet burrito. To-go with also got green enchiladas, garlic shrimp and a super burrito. Everything was good I really have no compliments, very flavorful and big plate, the only sad part is that they don't carry hard alcohol only beer. Loved it here. They have themselves a new regular right here.

Food was good and the portions were large. This place is sitting.d9wn table service and pay on the way out at the register. We had never been here before so we ordered at the counter and sat down. This might have upset the server a little bit, but I don't think it matters in the end. The thing that knocked off a star was how dirty the bathroom was. Once I saw how poorly kept the bathroom was I started to look around at other areas. I found that the restaurant was really dirty.

Good food and great service! Just happened to be hungry and gave it a try, well worth it!

Great authentic food. Fast and accurate to-go orders. Fresh salsa. Mostly locals and seems to be family run. Always kind and conscientious
