We came to Tapsilog Bistro for brunch on a Sunday morning, and they had just opened up so there were plenty of tables to choose from. We all ordered a meat combo, and I loved their serving size and the ability to customize! I wanted longanisa and lumpia, but also wanted tortang talong (eggplant), and they were able to honor my request. I ordered the lychee sangria, and it was made to perfection. The service was wonderful! We stayed for close to 2 hours, and they continuously checked up on us even as the restaurant started to fill up. At one point, a man who I believe is the owner came around and greeted everyone. He really came in there and rolled up his sleeves to help his staff on a busy day, as all business owners should! Overall, we loved the variety and the taste of the food! I'll for sure be coming back.

Good variety of meats to build a bilao but unfortunately all of them came lukewarm. Griddled pork belly wasn't particularly tender, chicken adobo was good but fairly mild in taste (other than decently salty), and the milkfish as well as the eggplant omelette with beef were pretty average. The garlic rice was chewy and relatively well-flavored and the sunny side up egg on top came runny. The vegetarian pancit with tofu and noodles comes as an enormous portion - probably enough for 2-3 people if it was the only dish ordered. This was flavored well even without the lemon squeezed over it. But my mom noted that some portions of the noodles make contact with the (probably unwashed) basket, which was off-putting.We also asked for a soup recommendation. Unfortunately I wasn't listening when he recommended one of the soups, which was the tamarind one that neither of my parents had tried nor heard of before. They didn't like it due to the sourness (and we've had Chinese hot and sour soup before). But I think it's a little less sour than hot and sour soup and a little more savory from the broth (possibly meat broth). Nothing wrong with it for those who like tamarind. We had the meat replaced with beef (the menu options are pork or seafood) and the soup came with about 8 huge and tender beef chunks! The soup also contained some okra, spinach, green beans, onions, and tomatoes. The total was ~$70 for 3 people and we took home 3 pyrex dishes worth of leftovers. I didn't notice before, but I don't really know why we were only given 1 egg (even specified that on the receipt) for the 4-meat Bilao (which says 2 eggs on the menu) because we definitely weren't asked anything about that.

Tapsilog is one of my favorite Filipino restaurants in the area. I always come here when I'm craving something hearty and comforting. I usually order the Hearty Silog plate, which includes a mound of garlic rice, a fried egg, and your choice of meat--my go-to is the sweet sausage. Occasionally, I'll add a side of lechon for extra indulgence.Their sisig is another highlight, served sizzling on a hot plate that brings out the meat's flavor and aroma - it's perfect with rice. The service is consistently quick and friendly, and I appreciate that each plate is made to order, ensuring freshness. The restaurant has a casual vibe, decorated with medals and embellishments, making it a local favorite.

Not very experienced with Filipino food but I dare to say that lumpia is perfectly made and it's gonna be hard to find a better one. The pork filling is well seasoned and so juicy. Eat it while it's hot and there's still soup inside. The wrapper is very crunchy. This lumpia is addicting and worth a trip for it alone.Tried a couple other dishes. They are good but just not impressive to me. I do like the pancit, simple taste but really good. Will come back to try their rice plates.

Still remains one of my favorite restaurants in the area. And it's Filipino food too. They are always very fast to take your order and serve. So I love coming when I'm hungry. It's got a cool neighborhood, chill vibing decor, complete with selling Filipino merch and beer taps and running race medals all over the walls. The food is seriously Yum! I finally left my comfort zone and had something other than longineesa and Shanghai lumpia. The BAGNET BAGOONG is sick good. If you like pork belly. Someday I want a kamayan feast from here.

Such a cute little filipino spot with really yummy food! We enjoyed everything that we ordered but i feel like its a bit pricy for the portions (~$20/plate). The service was very friendly and fast, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Despite the price, I would definitely still come back to try more silogs when I'm too lazy to cook my own filipino food!!

Forever one of my favorite places to get some DELICIOUS Filipino food. The pork sisig is always my favorite. When you order it as an entree it comes on a sizzling plate which makes it perfectly crunchy. The lechon is always nice and crispy. And can't forget the longganisa. Staff is so friendly and attentive! The inside aesthetic is very comfy and home like.

The food was good but would have preferred the tocino to be more fried as it tasted more like boiled meat. It was great that they had fried eggplant and I really enjoyed the chicken pancit and lumpia Shanghai. The ambience in how the food in served in banana leaves gave it a nice feeling of the Filipino culture.
