Tao Tao Cafe

The chicken salad and wontons are my favorite. My son likes Tao Tao Beef. We decided to do something different and we got a family dinner with chicken salad, wonton soup, sesame chicken, snow peas & water chestnuts, Tao Tao beef, pressed almond duck and fried rice. It was different in a good way. Everyone has their own recipe for each dish. The chicken salad, wonton soup and Tao Tao beef were same as usual! The sesame chicken was a pounded out chicken breast, breaded, sauced with sesame seeds. Not bad. First time I've had it this way. Fried rice was fried rice. The pressed almond duck was interestingly good and different. It's hard to get excited about snow peas and water chestnut but it was okay. Service is quiet and efficient. It's a nice looking dining area with cloth table covers. We get good service. Food here is good. The chicken salad is great. They are known for their Tao Tao beef. Some other places have great Peking duck, bass and other dishes and we wouldn't order Tao Tao beef or chicken salad there. My family says they wouldn't mind ordering this again or maybe try other dishes so we will definitely be back.

I've read wonderful things about Tao Tao Cafe, especially their chicken salad, so I decided to give them a try for lunch. Unfortunately, the Tossed Shredded Chicken Salad was so spicy I could only eat two bites, plus the chicken looked unappetizing and tasted kind of icky. The chicken pieces seemed to be a combination of both white and dark meat, which I don't understand and definitely didn't like. Also had the potstickers, which were okay but weirdly sweet, and the won ton soup, which was very bland. Threw away most of my lunch. I don't think I will be back.

This is still my favorite restaurant in the world. I'm happy with the chicken salad and Tao Tao beef. Honestly, these dishes are all I need. Nothing comes close. Anywhere. I've tried to recreate the beef and have never been able to come close. They have a huge menu and everything is very good. Lunch specials are served quickly and they are very organized. Just be sure to order enough Tao Tao beef so you can have some to bring home. It's absolutely amazing!! They have some delicious vegan dishes so everyone can be happy. The Mai Tai's are famous but get one to share. They are very strong. If I have more than one sip, I fall asleep on my plate. Highly recommend.

Love this place! Spotless upscale interior, great service, and fabulous food. Got the Tao Tao Salad lunch combo. Comes with egg soup Fried wonton skins and an egg roll . Besides the Tao Tao Beef this is my other favorite dish. I get it without mustard in the dressing due to allergies. Never disappoints !

The food is always good. Love the Tao Tao beef with pork fried rice- can never go wrong with that combo!Usually love the chicken salad but they dressed it for the Togo order which meant it was soggy by the time we got home to eat. That is the one thing I would change. Service is always good, nice host and prompt. My favorite to go to when I am craving yummy Chinese.

My go to's are Tao Tao Beef, Honey walnut prawns and the Chinese chicken salad. The Mai Tai is a must. We usually eat in the bar area, bartenders are so nice and friendly.

The food and service at this restaurant is outstanding. Very hospitable. We can as a group of 6 and ordered a variety of dishes to share. I highly recommend Tao Tao beef. So delicious.

Overrated and not very good anymore. The only thing that is enjoyable about Tao Tao is the ambiance. The waiters are not friendly, the food is not high quality chinese, and the service is poor. Their servers are not very polite whatsoever.Their Chinese chicken salad is the gold standard but other than that, a lot of the dishes have no flavor. I know many people who have been coming here since maybe the 70s who don't bother anymore. The last time I came here, most of the dishes were terrible. The hot and sour soup was not edible at all. It was AWFUL. Tao Tao has been around for decades and it's just not the same anymore. Used to be good with great service. No more.

The best chicken salad bar none. The Mongolian beef is delightful. Things aren't overly spiced and are cooked to perfection.
