After a great time at the White Elephant Sale, we popped in for lunch. Other yelpers pictures and posts looked really good. I went with the Cali bowl and loved how fresh everything was. Nice crispy lettuce & veggies and the hummus was super creamy. I did add some hot sauce since I like spice. Orders came up quickly and counter server was kind and patient. My friend had the Chicken Shwrama and really enjoyed it too. Parking is tight, especially on a rainy Saturday. We sat at the bar which was fine, it was clean.

One of my fave food joints in Alameda for sure! Everything is fresh and delicious. The sauces are great, and their pita bread is so good... generous portions and lots of meat. Workers are very kind as well.

This place gets busy during lunch, and I can see why. It's located on Park Street, so parking can be a pain. Tahina is located inside Alameda Marketplace, but they are located next to one of the entrances, so it's easy to find. I ordered a chicken Tahina bowl, which comes with saffron rice, hummus, spring mix, cucumber, tomato salad, sumac onion, pickled turnips, herbs, and Tahina sauce. Everything in my bowl tasted fresh and delicious. The chicken was flavorful and not dry. The only thing I didn't like was the saffron rice. I've had saffron rice before, but this tasted artificial. I can't describe it; it's almost metallic-like. I'll have to try again next time to see if it was a bad batch that day.

Came here on a weekday afternoon and it was a little busy, but I got my Cali Bowl quickly. I also added falafel to my bowl for an extra $3.50 and it came with three of them. I thought the portion size was good, the veggies were super fresh, and I liked how much hummus and sauces they had. It was a very well-dressed salad, not to mention both pretty and vibrant, with lots of different flavors from the tangy pickled veggies, the savory and earthy sauces, and the crispy veggies! There is some seating inside shared by the rest of the Alameda Marketplace. Tahina also sells some pre-packaged hummus, baba ganoush, etc., which I look forward to taking home with me in the future. Looking forward to my next meal here!

This place is not super busy on a Saturday afternoon! My boyfriend and I were able to lap around the building and we were able to get her food pretty quickly after that. There is seating outside, but since it's getting colder, keep in mind that you might want to bring a jacket. The dolma was absolutely phenomenal, it's probably the best I've ever had in a very long time. They were juicy, but not in a soggy way. My Tio was so colorful and flavorful, I couldn't get enough of the rice, and I honestly wish there was more in it. They are very generous with the hummus and amount of lettuce. The falafel was also amazing, I truly wish they gave you at least 4 to 5 pieces instead of three. As for the chicken wrap, boyfriend said "for my Mexican compadres, the chicken Shawarma tasted like Al pastor with lettuce and tomatoes, not a bad combination". Give it a try!

Wow, such amazing service and the food is so fresh and absolutely delicious. Popped in to the market and I stumbled across this underrated gem. I assumed it'd be just another chain style mediterranean restaurant, but I was wrong. Sabrina, the young lady who was at the cashier register when I walked up it's so nice such a sweet young girlI ordered two bowlsTahina Bowl$11.00Saffron rice, hummus, organic spring mix, cucumber & tomato salad, sumac onions, assorted pickles, fresh herbs, tahina sauce. and for my protein, the beef/lamb comboCali Bowl$11.00Quinoa tabouli, avocado, hummus, organic spring mix, cucumber & tomato salad, pita croutons, sumac onions, pickled turnips, fresh herbs, cilantro tahina sauce. With falafel Everything and I mean everything was flavorful and definitely DIDN'T have that restaurant supply store frozen food flavor. The owner Rumi explain to me a little about the restaurant and how they go beyond to source high quality meats and produce. The restaurant is definitely a little gym and an amazing Mediterranean restaurant if you're ever looking for one and yes, they have the Dubai pistachio cream chocolate bar. They make their own using high-quality ingredients and yeah, I had to buy one. It's delicious. Look forward to coming back and trying other menu items and getting some of their baklava.I was very happy to have come today

Great spot for mediterranean food in Alameda! Tahina's located inside a Marketplace with a couple other vendors and a grocery store. Parking is also easy since they have a parking lot. They have bowls and wraps but I usually get their plates. The plate comes with pita bread and 2 sides - I would recommend trying their fries, eggplant dip, or cilantro hummus but you can't go wrong with any of them!

Despite my grudge with this place forgetting items multiple times, my wife & kids like it, so I've relented and we've recently re-incorporated it back into our rotation of dinner takeout spots. After my last review, they even reached out to apologize.Lo and behold, after a couple orders, once again they forget an item in my order--my baklava. As a wise man once said, "my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined."Yes, first world problems, I know, but immense outrage over botched takeout is just a hill I will forever die on.
